Absolutely incredible. Your comfort in traditional grip is captivating I've never been able to feel quite at home with traditional but you make it look comfortable and easy. This is an incredible arrangement, I am so glad I found this video

Fumito Nunoya I always struggle with individual mallet rotation with traditional and Burton grip, traditional being the worst of the two. Stevens has always suited me best, as it feels much more natural, but I really want to get better at mallet rotation in traditional grip and your individual mallet rotation is stellar throughout this piece in runs such as the one at 3:16-3:20. Any tips?
Thanks for the reply. I believe each player has his/her favorite or suitable grip. If you feel that Stevens grip fits the best for you, I would recommend you to stay with it. I used to play with Stevens and Burton, but the traditional grip was the one for me, though I still have to train hard :) The run at 3:16 to 3:20 is still hard for me, but as I practiced and performed, I found the way to do it. I am sure you will find your own way (positioning and sticking) with Stevens grip, when you have to play such runs in the pieces you play.

Thank you. I was using the sample of Korogi SP 704 and 707 mallets, though you could only purchase them in Japan...
You can get similar mallets with the same sound..hard marimba mallets..its the threat at the end ..the quality you are looking at for the sound
