A nice sequel to Sam’s recording, truly complements each performer’s skill in such a beautiful and technical piece.
i was feeling accomplished with myself for playing this piece, and now i see this.....
fancy seeing you here haha 🙌
Man, she is phenomenal. What an amazing performance. Her speed when she does the bar dampening with her hip is insane. My favorite has always been Dr Brad Meyer’s performance here on RUclips but I think I just found a new favorite.
Simply Magnificent!
Instant respect for this lady. 10/10, would listen again.
Can never get enough of this!
Oh god, you are so talented! More amazing covers / original songs please.
Its like Sam Um’s interpretation is more forward driving like a battle where as Jung’s interpretation is more in a dance style with more groove. I love both for different reasons and i love the style Jung brings to the table!
the control of dynamics is amazing
Congratulations Ji Hya Jung🥂
A lovely, accurate interpretation and an excellent sound + mallet choice.
Piazzolla is something else, and this beautiful performance sounds really nice on Marimba.
Perfect sound and mallets Ji Hye.
Nice performance ☺️, the rubberisch sound of the mallets makes it a perfect fit, sweet with a strong surface.
Really enjoyed this performance.
DAMN that was a solid performance. Wonderful mallet choice
Do you know the name of the mallets?
@@zacdaniels8854 I do not, unfortunately. I gotta say, I love how much they can *respectfully* cut without hurting the bars, especially at the low end. To pull that off, she has to have some fire hands behind those mallets. Dang!
Edit: upon seeing the description of the video, the mallets are listed there.
WOW!!!! 💃💃😍
This is a good interpretation, but I prefer Sam Um’s from a few years ago, the fast paced and frantic feel of it is how I feel a piece of this style should go. Just my opinion, cuz this is still great!
@JD she definitely plays this very beautifully! It’s much more dance-like and romantic compared to Sam’s light and driving version, and I really enjoy both. It’s really down to personal preference, I just love that matador-like intensity of Sam’s.
great sounds and job. 😉😎
Fantastic!
😯 a second Libertango vid? 👀
lol that's what I was thinking
Ikr...? They must rlly like this piece

Merci Madame !
my inspo
ahh I wish I had these mallets when I played!
Do you know the name of the mallets?
Wow ILOVE💃
Heat!
Holy wow!!!
Wow!!
Until this moment, I had no idea that people played the xylophone with more than two mallets. #mindblown
That isn't a xylophone - xylophones are generally played with only two mallets. This is a marimba. Some people even play it with six or eight mallets!
I feel that this one definitely paced then the other video, Sam Um's was going a bit to fast. the piece also breaths a lot more
Libertango will never not slap
ok so like..
she is *good*
She is Korean 🥰🥰❤️❤️
Sounding incredible! What microphones were used in this recording?
Wow
Ayo another one
Yes) ✋🏻
Hello there :)
I miss the old intro you would play, nonetheless this is great!
Anybody know what those mallets are called?
They are the robert van sice monotonal series. The exact hardnesses she uses are labelled in the description
I think I just heard Danny Carey raise an eye brow
Piazolla ala George of the Jungle.
