@@cartuxo999 You misunderstood me. I ADORE the original graphics. I have the original trilogy (not the remaster) on Steam and I love them, but the remaster's art design is very off, plastic-y. I would happily buy to Switch if the graphics would be the same as the original.

I suspect something has happened behind the scenes at Rockstar. Out of the blue they realise Red Dead Redemption on PC and now they have done a massive overhaul on the GTA Trilogy. I wonder if they have realised that over the last few years they have alienated a huge segment of their fan base and are now trying rectifying it.
It certainly seems that way. You normally don’t see devs especially on rockstars level just take over projects with their in house teams that they sourced to another and release substantial updates to a two yr old release like this. Me and my friend have been wanting to get this but haven’t due to the performance issues and various bugs. I tried playing the ps4 version of San Andreas through ps plus and maybe it was just the ps4 version idk but every time I was in closed doors or a tight area outdoors the camera just went bonkers and I know it’s not the most reliable but I looked up videos of the og version and yea I noticed it wasn’t perfect but I didn’t see anyone in the videos have the camera go bananas like I experienced. Now from what I’ve seen of the update with the switch, ps, and Xbox versions I will definitely get it finally at some point when I can. I just still kinda wish they would due a remastered gta 4 or something along with the psp versions (at least the Chinatown game (forget the actual name) so we can have all the gta serious on modern systems.
Grove Street Games is claiming this was their work. They claim they submitted the patch to R* 2 + years ago and R* sat on it before it was finally released.
I'm hoping to see a line of Nintendo Selects reissues next year. Perhaps this and L.A. Noire could be part of it. Not sure if everything would be on the cartridge despite the fact that it should, but later prints do tend to have the most recent build at the time of manufacture by default last I checked.

I always prefer aiming with Gyro-control and it's nice that they added it, because usually developers outside of Nintendo don't want to waste time on it to implement it properly - this is how you can tell the quality of the port whether it has a gyroscope control option or not
I was going to buy this physical when it came out but i canceled my order when i saw the reviews. It went on sale on the e shop picked it up for around 30$ . Glad i have it now.

No matter what happens, this will never be the "definitive" edition. That implies everything is included and it's the best version ... its not. Music is missing. Cutscenes have changed dialogue. Features are removed. It's still an inferior version.
It can be the Definitive Edition if they release like 3-4 more patches, but that's hard to tell at this point, considering how long they abandoned the game at one point

@@richardsylvester4518 You also have to remember that Rockstar has taken songs out of GTAIV/Episodes from Liberty City, and GTAV. They just lost the license. Nothing we can do about it. 2nd print or “Greatest hits,” versions of GTA Vice City and San Andreas are missing music. Rockstar will most likely continue to let go of songs and take them out in a patch for GTAV and eventually GTA VI.
It’s so funny I read about the update and I’ve been playing this non-stop, glad to see an RGT video about it. Def worth picking up and sinking a few hours into it. Glad it’s no longer a buggy mess!
I think vice city got a really good overhaul with the weather. The lighting and bloom is what i expected to begin with. It makes the sun look like its supposed to in vice city
I don't think Grove Street necessarily is to blame for the terrible state of the trilogy. Take 2 refused to allow them to delay the release of the game, even though they clearly knew about the state of the game. Take 2 also was 100% to blame for deceiving customers by not allowing review codes to go out early. Grove Street may be partially responsible, but honestly, I believe T2 are the real culprits for the botched release.

I always watch your videos from Bolivia, but as audiophile I'd sugest to you to put your mic a little to the side instead in front of you to avoid the plosives (the pop sound that happen when P's or any letter that produce wind hits the mic). I had to re-downloaded this and man its awesome now! Im glad they fixed this because I still felt the burn from when I originally bought this when it first came out.
My San Andreas updated and is still having some issues crashing in to polls and they go straight through the concrete road . But the other two games work and play fine.
The lighting and fog in SA makes a MASSIVE difference. Now it looks more like a remaster of the beloved classic. Not perfect but finally where it should have been to begin with. I'm honestly surprised that Rockstar even bothered to squeegee the matress after Grove Street shat the bed. I honestly thought they'd just cut their losses and abandon it. If this is Rockstar returning to the company we loved it's a very welcome change

Man at first I thought the classic lighting did nun to gta 3. Boy was I wrong, feels much more dark and depressing like the original now. Vice city benefited the least from this project I actually think its environments looked very solid in the original definitive edition

I’m glad it’s more playable though, and the visual upgrades are a MASSIVE improvement. Also not seeing grove street games in the title anymore will definitely boost morale while playing.
I still wish they would have used the OG games as the base of their remaster instead of the mobile ports. That was a huge mistake in my opinion and was the source of all the complaints that we saw when this was first released.
I would have preferred it had they just looked exactly like the originals but made to fit modern displays.. no need in changing out models or any of that stuff.. Thankfully i still have the original games for PC physically in their original forms and they still run great for me.
I didn't purchase GTA Trilogy on Switch digitally, so when I got the game, physically/day one, when it was available physically, I didn't have any problems with it, after I downloaded the updates, that we're available, when I got my physical copy day one, but I heard and saw ALL of the crazy things that we're going on, with the beta digital version, that wasn't supposed to be a beta version, but I looked at it like one/I thought and hoped to my self, HOPEFULLY all of this crap will be fixed, once the physical version is available, and from my experience, I felt like it was; Honestly I was more upset that things were fixed, that had never been fixed, like being able to put more vehicles in garages for storage/that had been removed, and I liked being able to put two cars and a motorcycle, in all of my garages, and now thats not a thing, don't fix, whats not broken; Beyond this though, I think this was a TERRIBLE game for Grove Street to learn on, but they did go on to fix Arc Survival and they did go on to grow/learn and become better developers, but on the job learning/learning on the fly/as you go, for everyone in the entire company, shouldn't be a thing, ESPECIALLY with a project this big and important, I honestly think its okay that Grove Streets name is forgotten, for working on GTA Switch, If I was Grove Street, I would want my name to be forgotten for it, because to me that seemed like a project that was a learning experience for them, that they didn't deliver perfectly on, and now they can move on, with the skill they needed and that they now have.
Now I'm probably going to get this. I love the original games and I think these look pretty close to how one might remember them being on PS2. (Except that they had janky controls, poor framerate and lot of popup). I wonder if they'll print new copies with these upgrades in place or not. I guess not.
These games were definitely very messy when I first started playing them on the switch. One thing that really stood out to me is that when you are driving and you go to turn, turning in the game, felt really jerky. I’m hoping with performance updates now that it’ll be smoother.
Yo i just brought the game on switch played 5 hours in handheld i enjoy it a lot. Poor thing about it was there’s a line on the bottom of the screen when driving quick the frame rate isn’t solid but it’s still worth playing if u like the 3 games im only going to play it in hand held mode cus i have for ps5 and no point playing this.
It still looks like CJ's feet go beneath the cement in your footage. Guess they couldn't fix that problem. Damn mobile ports as the source remains a problem.

I don't think they need to make this backwards compatible with Switch 2, since recent reports suggest that new Nintendo console (they never said it's a successor to Switch, it could be anything) is fully backwards compatible with Switch games anyway

The fact that they disrespected their Legacy like this. It still sits with me, and I don't think of that will ever go away. This is how they treated the games that made them who they are. They were the games of a generation. Well, at least they're trying to show some respect.
This game deserves to be forgotten about I will not support this with my wallet. There’s still blood effects on the floor missing and 3 years to fix a remaster is unacceptable. The new update is SO MUCH BETTER. Only real gripes is that foliage and objects pop-in too close and it'd be nice to have a bit better performance. Overall I'm very pleasantly surprised by the sudden new update. I fully figured the game was abandoned.

The PS5 Pro isn’t enough of an upgrade to justify upgrading from the base PS5 to it, I have seen so many comparisons and you can barely see the difference and that’s when you have both PS5 and PS5 Pro side by side, so I am sticking with my regular PS5

This is game is probably is going to have a sales spike because of the update and all this updated coverage on it. I'm finally considering picking it up, decided to pass on it when it originally released, as I already had copies that performed and worked better both on my PS4 and on my Android tablet, now a purchase of this version is much more temping to purchase.

In GTA 3 I was able to survive with full wanted level by being up high somewhere then only have to concentrate on the copters.
Gyro Controls and the dial to change radio stations has been in the switch version for a while actually.

For the 3 games thats pretty good
Now I'm probably going to get this. I love the original games and I think these look pretty close to how one might remember them being on PS2. (Except that they had janky controls, poor framerate and lot of popup). I wonder if they'll print new copies with these upgrades in place or not. I guess not.
These games were definitely very messy when I first started playing them on the switch. One thing that really stood out to me is that when you are driving and you go to turn, turning in the game, felt really jerky. I’m hoping with performance updates now that it’ll be smoother.
Yo i just brought the game on switch played 5 hours in handheld i enjoy it a lot. Poor thing about it was there’s a line on the bottom of the screen when driving quick the frame rate isn’t solid but it’s still worth playing if u like the 3 games im only going to play it in hand held mode cus i have for ps5 and no point playing this.
Hopping back into San Andreas has been a blast
And if you have the physical version, you still have the buggy mess for all platforms .
They really are making physical collecting more and more pointless and I wonder more and more if it's deliberate...
It still looks like CJ's feet go beneath the cement in your footage. Guess they couldn't fix that problem. Damn mobile ports as the source remains a problem.
I’ve never played these ones (only gets I’ve ever tried was 5) was gonna pick this up when it launched but all the issues caused me not to. Now I might give this a shot
I don't think they need to make this backwards compatible with Switch 2, since recent reports suggest that new Nintendo console (they never said it's a successor to Switch, it could be anything) is fully backwards compatible with Switch games anyway
Pretend we have our full price bought cartridge 10 - 50+ yrs henceforth - is it able to be physically formatted/rewired to be without plethora of errors or is it on its own without $nintendos$ all powerful site to repair it so its playable? They will obviously bail in the next 10 or so years and i feel cheated):

I wanted to buy this game, but I already have the original trilogy on ps4 and 5. Funny thing is I dont even play it which is sad, because I never played San Andres and I wanted to play that so bad
The fact that they disrespected their Legacy like this. It still sits with me, and I don't think of that will ever go away. This is how they treated the games that made them who they are. They were the games of a generation. Well, at least they're trying to show some respect.

Actually, according to grove street, Rockstar withheld the updated mobile version features patch to console.
Did they fix the disappearing save Icon glitch. It would be nice to be able to save the game at your safe houses again.
This game deserves to be forgotten about I will not support this with my wallet. There’s still blood effects on the floor missing and 3 years to fix a remaster is unacceptable. Play the originals if you have the means… anyone playing this remaster is just supporting everything that is wrong with the industry today

They need an option to change the vehicle textures back to the original or an updated version of the original textures.

I played through gta 3 in its grove street form. Now it's a treat.
The new update is SO MUCH BETTER.
Only real gripes is that foliage and objects pop-in too close and it'd be nice to have a bit better performance. Overall I'm very pleasantly surprised by the sudden new update. I fully figured the game was abandoned.

I played it on both switch and netflix, even though I love switch, the Netflix version is much much better looking and smoother
They just need to start over from scratch after GTA6. New graphics, ALL of the OG soundtracks, etc.

This is going to look amazing on the PS5 Pro, apparently they are working on a 4K 120Hz patch exclusivity for the PS5 Pro!
The PS5 Pro isn’t enough of an upgrade to justify upgrading from the base PS5 to it, I have seen so many comparisons and you can barely see the difference and that’s when you have both PS5 and PS5 Pro side by side, so I am sticking with my regular PS5
@itskiki4979 Richard Leadbetter, John Linneman and Alex Battaglia have all been singing the PS5 Pro's praises, and they are the most honest, impartial tech guys out there!
@@itskiki4979 Unless you're looking at side by sides on a 4K OLED HDR screen that's at least 50", the differences will seem minor.

This is game is probably is going to have a sales spike because of the update and all this updated coverage on it. I'm finally considering picking it up, decided to pass on it when it originally released, as I already had copies that performed and worked better both on my PS4 and on my Android tablet, now a purchase of this version is much more temping to purchase.
Way better than it was now you actually feel nastalgia playing it.
