You can do the vigilante mode infinitely with a tank. Instead of using the cannon as a weapon, use it as a thruster and ram the vehicles. You'll notice you'll never fail after a couple levels.
If you activate flying cars... then use the rhinos cannon to give you thrust you can fly the tank around the entire map ...its tricky but it's pretty fun
@@Jared-xl6qu it’s even more tricky in the remastered version because they updated the tank turret to follow the camera like later games… so you have to lock the camera facing the rear and gain altitude looking backwards… although once the momentum is built up you can fly for a long time Funny thing is, if you have lots of wanted stars, an indestructible helicopter will chase you to any height… even if you hit it with the tank cannon several times, it just keeps coming… I think it’s a glitch but it’s still interesting

The Banshee maybe the fastest vehicle available on the first island but it’s definitely not the best. The extra speed is only necessary for the race mission given from the phone guy. The Mafia sentinel is a much better all round vehicle. A little faster than most standard cars on the first island and seems to be able to take more of a beating than the banshee.
Here's a cool one, in Vice City there's posters around the map that actually feature gta online characters in them. Plus Solomon Richards movie poster from gta 5.
@@ReprobiCrucesignati yeah plus the 3d universe has nothing to do with the HD universe. Otherwise we would've seen or heard something about the characters of San andreas in GTA V. Imagine CJ as a heist member lol
One tip I think is missing, is about weapon mastering in SA. I remember that you can shoot the tires of cars and it counts towards the mastering. Since shooting tires doesn't make the car blow up, you can quickly and safely master every kind of weapon doing that method.
This was patched out when ported to PC on steam. You can at the very least park a car in the garage and shoot the trunk until it smokes then let the garage close and repair the car. Rinse and repeat.
This thing can also apply in Vice City, during the mission Messing with the Man. You can just shoot the cars that have been destroyed to increas the chaos meter so you don't need to shoot more cars.
What I'm missing here for Vice City is the trick to get to the other island without cheating, before you can officially reaching them (didn't buy definitive edition yet, but will test if it works in it). As a teenager, I found a way to do it :) Here is how: Even though the gate of the dockyard is closed at the beginning, there are boats in it. You can get past through the gate by pushing a vehicle (ambulance car is the best because it has a big surface) into the water at the gate of the dockyard. When you push a car into the water, it floats for a while and it will eventually sink, but before that happening you can actually step on it. Using this you can get past through the gate, you can jump in a nice boat and you can reach the other island, and if you already finished the side jobs (vigilante, paramedic, pizza) you have enough money to buy the flat with a helipad on top (at north). This way: * You can collect all the hidden packages * You can get a tank from the army base
Actually, the missing music IS in the game, people dug through the files on the GTA Forums, and ALL the music is there, the ones that got removed by R* are just cancelled out by a script, and people are trying to get it reversed. Also, R* just said on their Twitter that it was “unintentionally” released with some other stuff besides the music, so they removed it, so if you have it downloaded, make a backup if you play on PC before the game updates next time, otherwise it’ll be gone for good unless a mod comes along soon
What I do on every character after starting the first mission in SA, I drive to Montgomery, do the paramedic missions to get max health at the very beginning because I find it easier than the ones in LS. Then i make a save and go to the betting shop and bet all my money on the horse with 1/12 odds and keep loading a new save until I win once because finishing paramedic gives you like 30k so the amount you win from betting on the horse will set you up for basically the whole game
In vice city, they have an achievement called take the cannoli where you get the god father criminal rating. There's videos that show stupidly long ways to get this, instead, just use the fire truck glitch in the mansion for about 2 hours and you'll have almost 100 mill and that'll earn you the rating.
A tip I can give you for first time GTA 3 players, a lot of people think the Banshee in the showroom is the only “fast or good” vehicle. However it’s very fragile and doesn’t have a lot of grip. I suggest you grab a taxi and do 100 fares (doesn’t have to be in a row). You get to know the neighborhood and you only need to drive people around on the first island. If you do it later in the game gangs will shoot at you and you will need to travel between islands. For completing the 100 taxi fares, you will get a Borgnine (a modded dark red cabbie). The Borgnine is AWD, quite fast and is also sturdy. I suggest to also use it in the Turismo race from El Burro, I just did and completed the race in 170 seconds from the first time easily!
Kinda like the other comment said, the Mafia Sentinel is also solid for a first island car and a bunch spawn in St Marks. The Stinger and Yakuza Stinger are great once you get to the second island, and the Cheetah and Infernus are too if you can find them.
@@GeekVincent hahaha did yesterday the mini chopper mission on vice city. Damn that mission was a pain in ass back in the day when we where young haha.
Reminder for everyone who wants the full 'Definitive Edition' to acquire the games on PC, as there are a bunch of removed features, including some of the most iconic songs from each game (we're talking Billie Jean in Vice City level iconic). Eventually modders will patch these back in, so we can receive the full experience these games provided on their launches.

For Vice City: Find all the hidden packages first, then grab a Hunter. Start the vigilante side mission and keep going after level 12. As you climb the levels you begin to earn 100k every few seconds as you wipe out the same 3 vehicles w/ unlimited rockets over and over again. You’ll have 150 armor and millions in 15 minutes without using cheats and losing achievements.
I hate it that the rain isn’t like the original on GTA 3 and Vice City. What I mean is on the original of those two games. They have the water droplets onto the screen. You could run over a hydrant, and the water droplets looks like it would in reality. The water droplets on a car window. I hope that Rockstar will fix that mistake with new updates, and I’m still disappointed that Rockstar had taken that effect off begin with on San Andres and newer GTA games.
Doing all the tagging missions in San Andreas is similar to the hidden packages in Vice City and is VERY helpful if you plan on doing your play through without cheats. Completing all of them will unlock a bunch of weapons that can be found inside your moms crib on Grove Street, and you will have a never ending arsenal and ammo at your disposal. And the horse betting in San Andreas, always bet on Skittery Trotts, that’s my boy
You only get weapons if you tag all 100 of them. Don't forget in San Fierro you have snapshots there are 50 of them. You get weapons after the 50 snapshots. Then the 50 horseshoes in Las Ventures. You get the weapons after the 50 horseshoes.
Actually like the vice city packages more than the San Andreas collectibles because vice city you have to collect only a 100 packages but for Saint Andreas you have to spray a 100 tags and you have to find 50 snapshots horseshoes and oysters 250 things
I don't remember what it takes to make it available, but I'd argue that the car lot is the most fruitful property. So long as you aren't garbage at racing, the top tier races are by far the biggest cash cow. The only drawback is that they require a buy in, so it's essentially betting on yourself. Also, I've always enjoyed the car collection missions from gta 3 and vc
The biggest cash cow in Vice City by far is the Cone Crazy minigame. You do it once, you get $200. But whenever you beat your previous fastest time, the reward doubles, and if you are sandbagging you can easily become crazy rich.
The original gta3 had a funny glitch during vigilante missions. Pausing the game would for whatever reason, cause the criminal you are chasing to stop and get out of their vehicle.
@Big PApa I think he means In story gta 3 vice city and San andreas is way harder than gts 5 for example and on that you regain health if you stand still
3:34 "The Yakuza will turn on you..." I think you got something mixed up here. Those missions turn the TRIADS (the Chinese mafia) against you. The Triads never even gave you missions in the first place. The Yakuza (the Japanese mafia) remain neutral through the game, they will only attack Claude if the player shoots or carjacks them.
3:33 - Yakuza never turns on Claude, it's Triads (guys at 3:50) and you never do any jobs for them in the game anyway. We don't even meet Yakuza before Triands turns on Claude, Yakuza operates in Stauton and Triads turns on Claude during the first chapter of the game, before we even unlocks the second island, in fact they're the first gang who becomes hostile towards us. Yakuza is Japanese and Triads are Chinese. It's true that some side missions left for Yakuza's co-leader can be locked but only if we complete Waka Gashira Wipe-Out mission for Donald Love before completing all Kenji's quests. 3:49 - Two big, the most dangerous ones are Leones and Colombian Cartel but the Cartel is hostile since the beginning.
In the Vigilante missions, the VCPD Cheetah is really fast and can be resprayed at pay n spray in order to lose your wanted level. However, you need to get a 3 star wanted level for it to appear.
If I remember correctly, there's one of those Police Cheetah just parked behind the police station on the 2nd island. I'm not 100% sure, but hey, it's been at least 16 years since I played VC. But I sure remember being able to find one of those anytime I wanted.
This hit me in the nostalgias. One of my fave things on my replays is see how much I could build up my characters after the first save opens up in the story, minus cheats and try to Max out weapon selection and stats as much as possible before going onto the story. GTA3SA has some of the best early game build ups.
i still have the magazines with some cheats for games, maybe i'm lucky and one of those games will be the trilogy! I miss those days where you could go get them and had fun with cheats, these games are x3 more fun with them on.
The one about betting on the horse with the highest odds is the one I used when I first played the game. If my horse lost, then I would reload the game until it won the race. Can't remember how many times it took until it worked but it was worthwhile. Much better than the roulette.
I've heard that it's been a disaster on pc so far due to the launcher, since I don't really wanna pay to replay GTA:SA I'll just get it on my xbox with gamepass, but if it's on gamepass for PC I'll probably get it on pc. Free is Free

3 years ago I finally played and beat GTAV Story while also completing it 100% in game after having bought it 2 years prior, and tried to play the older versions of GTA, those being GTA 4, SA, 3, and Vice City. Out of those I played GTA 4 the most because I played that on PC and was able to mod it alittle and enjoyed it. But the others I played on PS4 Pro, and did not like it because of the button layout being so different from GTAV. But yesterday i played the updated version of GTA SA and I have to say I'm loving the game and enjoying the missions, and this vid jus helped me out alot. I might just restart the whole game and record my play since I'm still a noob to the game, so its like First Reaction from a 43 year old GTA SA Noob lol. Great Vid and thanks for the Tips....
I absolutely loved Nikko Bellic and everything about his story and his missions. The thing that got me so angry is that he cannot go golf, or very cool training at the shooting range, or have so much custom clothes or custom cars, no jet pack, arm wrestling, sticky bombs, suppressor pistol, or more than 3 homes to won meaning no realstate.
Here’s the important part. It’s an unfinished broken AI upressed Port of old games, where they removed the working versions of the original titles to somehow try to act like they aren’t doing this for a cashgrab
Should have mentioned the special vehicles you can acquire (if they still have them hopefully). Diaz's silver Admiral was a God tier car in the classic version of VC. Impervious to all damage (except the tank) and can be acquired by just failing "Guardian Angels" when the bike chase starts.
Honestly. I beat Vice City and III remastered before i saw any of these review videos. And i loved them. Nothing was really noticably wrong to me. Everything was playable and i had a good time. They took me back to my ps2 days. Everyone quit bitching so much. The games are almost 20 years old. I think they were easier to play then the original versions. In my opinion only fixes they need are the bridges in SA and the rain. Other then that. I really liked and enjoyed the definitive edition
In San Andreas, after the mission "Tagging up Turf", I always spend some time and hunt down all the graffiti spots. As once completed you'll get a variety of weapons at CJs House, which are very helpful early on!
And Grove Gang Members get Desert Eagles, SMG's and Knives as Weapons for them to use. It is Comical to ride with 3 Desert Eagle Gang Members in a 4 Door Car into a Rival Gang Hood.
Plus it's also a good idea to do the photos once you get to San Fierro, a few are located on the other side of the blocked bridges leading to the Las Venturas dessert, but you can get them if you zoom in enough! Even if you can't see the icon! Getting all of them will, like before, give you a different variety of weapons at CJ's garage! Not as essential as getting the earlier weapons, but doing this will get you unlimited sniper rifles much earlier!
Correction, doing fire fighters mission on VC also makes you immune to fire the same as in SA, so it's not only in SA like mentioned in a video. Got Platinum, massive VC fan. ✌
Quick tip on burglary missions: take the truck way before 20:00, drive to Muholland area by Madd Dogg's mansion. once it hits 20:00, initiate the mission. The houses are bigger and the inhabitants are usually upstairs; the houses in CJ's neighbor are one level and may be present as soon as you walk in. Also, get a silencer ASAP. you can take out the homeowners and come and go in their house without having to be stealthy.
these games are absolutely phenomenal, much better than i had anticipated! i'm genuinely happy with the definitive edition. i am aware there are some small bugs that need addressing but overall a very nicely done remaster.

I'm loving these remasters. It's still a little clunky but the small quality of life improvements really do make a big difference. I'm so glad I don't have to shoot with circle anymore and that the gas and brake pedals are mapped to the triggers. They for sure could have done more with these like I kind of wish they made cars a little more durable but I'm happy with what it is.
For Vice City i never could find, for the life of me, those hidden green things...at least not ALL of them. I remember that i even used map pictures from Google search, but even that didn't help in the end. I was always missing 2-3 of them and i never could find where i missed them. I was searching and searching every single inch of the game world and i couldn't find the last few. Tl;dr...i never could finish Vice City 100% unfortunately. :( But i have a few good tricks for some missions to make everyone's lives easier, if you want. :)
Also a tip: If you want to get hidden packages in Little Haiti, do it before finishing Umberto Robina's final mission (Trojan Voodoo) because the Haitians will be hostile to you after you blew out their drugs factory, similar to how the Leone in GTA 3 became hostile after finishing Sayonara Salvatore or the Yakuza became hostile after Trial By Fire. And also, during Messing With the Man, you can shoot on broken cars to increase your Chaos meter.
First thing I do when I start the game is go for all the packages on the first island and as soon as the 2nd island opens I buy the penthouse, save the game there and then go hunting for the packages over there.
Number 17 is incorrect. The Triads and the Yakuza are two different gangs. You will only do missions for the Yakuza, and they are one of the few gangs that will remain friendly throughout the game. The Triads will not give any missions, so there aren't any missions that would disappear once the Triads (not the Yakuza) turn hostile after "the pick-up" or "trial by fire". What will happen is that the remaining missions of Luigi and Joey will disappear after unlocking Staunton Island.
Thanks a lot for this clear up. Its my first time playing these older games and I was so confused like I only have the pick up and trial by fire unlocked and I've not even met the yakuza so I was mad confused

You can do the vigilante mode infinitely with a tank. Instead of using the cannon as a weapon, use it as a thruster and ram the vehicles. You'll notice you'll never fail after a couple levels.
It'll also never stop gaining momentum, so the tank is the fastest vehicle in the game.
Less fun but more efficient/time friendly way to do it, just store a police car in a garage and keep entering the blow up all cars cheat.
Ranking vehicles destroys the tank .
If you activate flying cars... then use the rhinos cannon to give you thrust you can fly the tank around the entire map ...its tricky but it's pretty fun
@@Jared-xl6qu it’s even more tricky in the remastered version because they updated the tank turret to follow the camera like later games… so you have to lock the camera facing the rear and gain altitude looking backwards… although once the momentum is built up you can fly for a long time
Funny thing is, if you have lots of wanted stars, an indestructible helicopter will chase you to any height… even if you hit it with the tank cannon several times, it just keeps coming… I think it’s a glitch but it’s still interesting

Another method, is to go to the Ammunition in Los Santos. They have gun range. Plus shooting at cars builds up your shooting skills too..
This thing can also apply in Vice City, during the mission Messing with the Man. You can just shoot the cars that have been destroyed to increas the chaos meter so you don't need to shoot more cars.
Thanks for the tip. I just tried it on the xbox version of San andreas remastered and it works.
What I'm missing here for Vice City is the trick to get to the other island without cheating, before you can officially reaching them (didn't buy definitive edition yet, but will test if it works in it).
As a teenager, I found a way to do it :) Here is how:
Even though the gate of the dockyard is closed at the beginning, there are boats in it. This way:
* You can collect all the hidden packages
* You can get a tank from the army base
We know
I used to stand on the bridge most North and jump down into passing boats. Takes some good timing but is possible.
The worst part about this trilogy remaster is the missing music that's a huge part of my memories for these games
Especially vice city !
I was looking for this so your telling me gta 3 music is not there ?
I still listen to black rob by a stranger
Hope there is a mod for that one
I used the mafia sentinel and beat Turismo easily
Kinda like the other comment said, the Mafia Sentinel is also solid for a first island car and a bunch spawn in St Marks. The Stinger and Yakuza Stinger are great once you get to the second island, and the Cheetah and Infernus are too if you can find them.
Turismo mission, i completed it in 163 seconds with a normal car xD its not that hard. And doing 100fares is so boring haha.
Thnx for the tip anyway
@@GeekVincent hahaha did yesterday the mini chopper mission on vice city. Damn that mission was a pain in ass back in the day when we where young haha.

Reminder for everyone who wants the full 'Definitive Edition' to acquire the games on PC, as there are a bunch of removed features, including some of the most iconic songs from each game (we're talking Billie Jean in Vice City level iconic).
Does that still work I have 24 out of 100 and no weapons yet at the house
You only get weapons if you tag all 100 of them. Don't forget in San Fierro you have snapshots there are 50 of them. You get weapons after the 50 snapshots. Then the 50 horseshoes in Las Ventures. You get the weapons after the 50 horseshoes.
@@christeston8420 oh maybe you do have to get all of them first😵💫
And not only that the grove street members get better guns ad well. They actually become useful during shootouts lol
Nah, just load your game until you win all the moneys with horse race bets

The biggest cash cow in Vice City by far is the Cone Crazy minigame. You do it once, you get $200. But whenever you beat your previous fastest time, the reward doubles, and if you are sandbagging you can easily become crazy rich.
The original gta3 had a funny glitch during vigilante missions. Pausing the game would for whatever reason, cause the criminal you are chasing to stop and get out of their vehicle.
This brings back memories of when body armor was useful in GTA.

That's right, I always tried to tag all the graffities first so that the game will be easier to progress through

16:08 or just play the story until Las ventures is unlocked and you can go to the roulette table at the four dragons casino try the same save and load method they just talked about but first just do the import export missions to complete the wi-wang cars asset wich gives you close to 700k then do flight school then you'll have the ability to save your game so you can do the bet all $$$ on red trick
I love that the title is “20 things it doesn’t tell you” and the majority are secrets that you’re supposed to discover yourself.
He tells you about Birmingham even though the game tells you about it after completing home invasion
It doesn't tell you that you need a PS5 for a stable framerate, everything less won't cut it.
It often drops to 35 on a ps5 aswell, its an absolute disgrace
Ya I'm salty too on pc the launcher down only can play gta 3 atm other 2 saying offline why they wait for server maintenance after launch is beyond me
Don't bother, the framerate drops even on the PS5.
@Jesse Robinson Same problems and framerate on xbox. Vrr helps a little.
Netflix:Are you still watching?
Somebody's daughter: 04:43
the remaster legit feels like a huge unity game
Bruh
Looking at this makes me think of a Gta IV remaster.....if they manage to capture its grittiness and serious tone with better lighting and quality of life changes, that's going to be the best thing they have ever done. Seeing as they won't be releasing Gta VI for the next 5+ years lmao.
Didn't they already do a GTA IV remaster? Pretty sure that's the one I have in my PC rn
@@kidwaarif9580 nah u probably have episodes of liberty city or whatever
wow i have played gta sa 3 times and never knew any of this, it's just that like my favorite movies T2 and Aliens every time
i watch or in this case play i'm always engaged in the story and characters so much so that everything else falls to the wayside
it's my favorite game of all time and i think it's a masterpiece.
The "new rain" in gta 3 is headache inducing for me, literally.
Literally from the first moment you start. Playing mostly SA so far. I really like the world. Character models are scary
i remember when i first played san andreas. My friend who lived in my building bought it, he didn't even have a ps2 but I did, so he would come over every day after school and we would take turns playing. it got to the point where he literally stopped going to school just so he could play San Andreas, lol we were addicted. Good times.
I wish I could experience GTA SA back when the PS2 was on her prime. I honestly am more of a Midnight Club fan. I was so addicted to those games. Just as you were to GTA SA
@@NFSBeast2365 i loved midnight club too. burnout was also amazing, the matrix games, smackdown here comes the pain and def jam vendetta. i still got my ps2 now, I think I might have to pull it back out lol
you guys should of played the multiplayer locations
@@pointchamberlain4782 I wish. I miss split screen multiplayer so much. 😭
@@meladgoat oh yeah! All those awesome memories
I don't think I ever played past the first few missions in GTA3. That was the first major sandbox game, and we all just ran around beating hookers with bats, and blowing up police cars with RPGs.
Vice City was when the story was actually interesting and worth playing through.
Not even 20 minutes in gta3 and a cop crashed me through the map.
Just like I remember it on PS2
*welcome to liberty city, trash!*
