You can tell that he isn’t full of himself when he sings his own music. He just seems so in love with music as a whole and what it means to him and the rest of the world. He doesn’t sing for himself. He sings for the love of music and that makes me so happy :,)

I love how the composer is still very much in love with the music! Delightful.

Thank you Morten for this beautiful piece of music. Moves me to tears of joy every time I hear and sing it! I wouldn't have experienced this poetry otherwise.

Dr. Lauridsen, you and James Agee were destined to partner. Your collaboration has become our blessing!

I want to thank Morten for picking this poem from Agee who was also a tremendously soulful individual. I love his poetry because excessive drink and smoking contributed to his early death. I have been in recovery from alcohol for almost 33 years. I had read Agee's "Permit Me Voyage" when younger. Now those words and Morten's music add so much depth to my feeling and understanding of both word and music.Thank you, both
