I'm not much of a racing/car guy, but i find this incredibly fascinating. This video just made me spend the last 30+ minutes reading up on the innovations of f1 pitstops. And even the innovation of the engines/rules/limitations etc. Pretty interesting stuff. Now I want to watch an f1 race. Can anyone tell me when the next major race is?
Next Sunday will be the next championship race, fridays are practice and saturdays are qualifications

He decided to come in without any communication with the pit wall. That said, they reacted to his screw up extremely well which is a testament to how well drilled they are. Conversely, the boys from Maranello punted away a shot at the podium by releasing Kimi before they'd finished putting his wheels on.

Although this is impressive, nascar cars have 5 lug nuts on each tire, and there able to take a wheel of on average a little less than a second. Formula one card have 1 nut. Which explains why there so quick
What's the job of a Lollipop Man?
He supervises everything and cares about a save release. That's where he got his name from since they used to have a stop sign on a stick (locking like a lollipop) instead of the lights to show the driver when to take off again.

I think is not something to be proud of, people should not be impressed for 2 seconds pitstops that time is bc they don't have to refuel the cars bc of the stupid ass regulations of "modern" F1!!
(btw i was in monza f1 race 2012 and outside the circuit there was a f1 car where you could change tyres by yourself i made 5.7 seconds and i didn't know shit about this before... this people get paid for this.
