Agree!! Lego is getting way to expensive. The threshold to get our hands on those GWP sets is crazy. I collect all my modular sets since 07 and thf average price for each is about $280ish but the latest modular Museum set is over $380 cad is almost double the price of Cafe Corner when it first came out!!
Ended up getting the Space 3-1 local in store today and the train station last night. Skipped anything from Amazon but got End Game: Final Battle for $50 on clearance at Target.
Yeah, I found out about their redemption policy the hard way. I ordered a cap and wanted to also get a discount but.... NOPE. Only one per order. So I couldn't get the cap by itself, I had to order something to get the cap that I spent points on. And I couldn't spent more points on a discount so no discount for me. I'm sorry, but Lego has some terrible policies.
The GWPs this year have been a lot worse compared to last year so far. Or maybe I just remember the good things from last year. It's not really that the GWPs have been bad it's just the deals and thresholds that have been terrible so far this year. The one per order limitation on insider rewards is so annoying too. I have 5000 points, enough to get two ninjago micro city ones but I need to make 2 orders for that which is frustrating. The only real highlight GWP this year has been the micro space launchpad but that sold out in literally 2 days even though they marketed it to be available the whole following week, so of course I missed out on it. And even with that, the threshold was very high and it wasn't stackable with any other GWPs/deals. It should've been a purchaseable set to begin with. Honestly lego online just doesn't seem worth it anymore, might stick to buying from local retailers because they sell the sets probably 10 - 20% cheaper anyway.
I agree with all of your points! As much as I love LEGO I really hope there will be other companies that give them some kind of competition as they are monopolizing the building blocks market. 😅

I think this candyshop would look amazing as a full size modular, i hope someone does it
Agreed!
That’s a great price for the Atari. If I didn’t already have it it would be compelling.
I thought about it.

😬
Lots of people, including me, couldn’t use the promo. Tried to get my ducks in a magnet and was denied
Thanks,
