Rick Ross called him white boy, not Kendrick. Kendrick is talking about how Drake plays into his black side when it’s beneficial to him, but not when it comes to activism. I will say, Pink Book makes a great point that many brown and dark skin black men criticize light skin men yet love them some light skin women at the same time. Two things can be true.

Kendrick called Drake a colonizer because many of Drake’s hits come from him imitating the flows, sounds, and even flat out copying the songs of artists that are emerging at any given time from a
certain region. Atlanta is where he uses this tactic the most since they dominated the mainstream in the 2010s.
He gets away with it most of the time due to the emerging sounds, songs, and artists being unknown to the mainstream. But he was caught and criticized for doing this to XXXTentacion who actually reached mainstream success. But lots of other artists do it not just Drake even some of our favorite artists that we consider the greats.

You’ll never see a white person look down on another white person regardless of where they’re from, be it Europe, Australia or any other country where they’re white! Yet American Black people are meaner to you than any other race. From people who talk about being hurt and victims you guys sure do the same to others, I’m not shocked because the bullied becomes the bully! That’s why most of we Africans for instance mess w white people because even though they also hurt us in the past through colonialism they’re showing an effort in the present to be respectable and educate themselves. The meanest people I’ve encountered in the US are always black Americans and white ppl have actually been good to me and helped me a lot ! And similar to single mother...are you a SM because you aren't married or the father is absent? But if the father is present but not in a relationship with the mother and the lady has another in house situation does that stop her from being a single mother?...And the solution of these "negative" terms is offset by 91 or 85 license...can you be a single mother while married? Is it the mere idea of marriage categories everyone despite parent's actions

This colorism thing dates back decades. Sadest part is many of us come from families of darker skinned people, and just ended up the lighter one of the litter. Not because of having a white mother or father (nothing wrong with that), but just how it goes sometimes through the family line and DNA. Either way, seeing how my darker skinned sister, brother and father were treated by society on many occasions does effect you as their family member. Not the same as going through it of course.
So it is hard when you have darker melenated folks come for you based on skin tone, when you know you are ADOS, know where your family picked cotton and visited the land they worked and were buried. But because you're lighter skinned, some how your less than. I believe this comes from the transfer of painful racial experiences that many dark skinned people face daily, onto the people closest to them in proximity. Usually their lighter skinned brothers and sisters. In many cases, people who would take a bullet for them, knowing what they go through just because of their darker skin, are the ones to catch the hurt through colorism.
I realize the Drake thing is a whole different animal, as he was appropriating to some extent. I'm talking about lighter skinned ADOS folks getting their cards pulled, simply because of their complexion.... By dark skinned people, for no other reason than their hatred for lighter skinned people.

In the UK and Nigeria, ppl who are mixed with white are just called "mixed" (applies to those who aren't just mixed with black or white too). They're not black and they're not white. Even on applications, at least in the UK, there's a section for mixed ppl with different variations they could be mixed with. So i never understood why black Americans would say "mixed ppl are black" when they're not, they're just mixed. I understand the one drop rule, but imo it doesn't matter how many drops of black you are if you're mixed with another race you're mixed. This also doesn't apply to other mixed groups like white and Asian or white and hispanic. Its always with "specific race" and black. It doesn't make sense to me. Even South Africa, that has a similar history to America, mixed ppl are seen as mixed or 'coloured'. Even in the UK, the mixed ppl I've met never say "I'm black" or "I'm white" its just "I'm mixed". But i always hear mixed Americans say they're black, they rarely ever claim the other stuff they're mixed with. Then the picking avd choosing of when mixed ppl are black, like in this situation, when they weren't black to begin with. They were mixed. Its homestly so confusing 🤦🏾‍♀️.

💯You're right. I rolled my eyes at this "rap beef" because how can you go after a guy like Drake but then procreate with a mixed woman. Not a fan of either artist. Nothing at all wrong with being mixed but you aren't black. Kendrick personal life isn't matching with his brand. I swear people fall for everything its sad...

LOL, Kendrick isn’t talking about “white” Americans, who owned the ships? Who owns the music industry and dominates the media? Who are predominantly in executive positions in government? Everyone needs to wake up and acknowledge who’s actually responsible for a lot of the strife in history across ALL peoples.
