Wow!!!! This is so amazing! I find this today, my big brother, Jimmy's 59'th birthday. He went to heaven on this past April 7'th. Most crazy thing, this was the first song he ever performed. His most favorite performers ever were, James Taylor & Jackson Browne!!!! He played guitar beautifully, and many thought his voice was coming from a cd of J.T. Our family was sure when it was him, because we, of course thought he sounded like an angel. Today on his birthday, the 1'st one without him, I found a lovely feather, saw a praying mantis, and now his most loved performers singing his favorite song---Together!!!✨💫💞❤️💖💕 He is with me! Thank you!!!
Terri, thanks for sharing your touching loss of your bro! These two are my all-time favorites and I was introduced to their music by my older bro too and I'm so happy I was able to see them perform together in LA - I went with my son.
Terri......Looks like your getting another sign from your brother ( through me ). My brother ( older ) Jimmy ( same name ) went to Heaven on the 21st of April. To be honest I don't know if he a was a fan of Jackson or James ( subject never came up 🤔), but I am ( if that counts ). I'm thinking it does ....how else would I have seen your post. Anyway, April isn't an easy month for me, hoping it's not too difficult for you.
Back in the 70's it was the SAME BAND - The Section. Peter Asher produced both James and Jackson, as well as Linda Ronstadt - and the Section played for Linda too. PHENOMINAL band!
The excellent and very talented lead guitarist is Val Mccallum, playing to the right of Jackson Browne. He is the son of actor David Mccallum aka Illya Kuryakin, the secret agent from the 60's TV show The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Val's guitar playing is like having another voice in the band. Check out Jackson Browne's Tiny Desk concert. Val's guitar skills are sublime.
Jackson Browne and James Taylor are fantastic artists and I’m a little bit sad that they have not done more collaborations together. I was raised around their music and it will always be dear to my heart. Seeing them do the song that was made famous by The Eagles is something that is remarkably beautiful and timeless. Musicians may come and go, but Jackson, James and The Eagles will always shine above the majority.
Professor Pyne, has the saying goes, HERO,S DIE LEGENDS LIVE FOREVER, as will JAMES TAYLOR, JACKSON BROWN and the EAGLES, LEGENDS. PEACE TO YOU MY FRIEND'S. ✌️✌️✌️😎😎😎🏴🏴🏴
I haven't seen Jackson play live since '75 (Eagles, Jackson and Linda Ronstadt - $10 ticket) at Angel Stadium, and a great friend is taking me to see Jackson at the Greek next week, and I couldn't be more stoked!!! Thanks for this post!!! :) :) :)
Two wonderful giants of music doing what they have always done, bring joy and hope to millions, punctuatour lives for over half a century with their music.
Legends ! And I feel so very fortunate to have been listening to them for 50 + years. And on the far right on Lead guitar is Val McCallum, son of Ilya Kuriakin (sp?) ,aka. David McCallum. 🎶🎸🎻
yeah, love JT but those cover albums were not his best work for sure... speaking of covers, I'd greatly appreciate it if some JT fans would check out my piano & vocal tribute versions of THE FROZEN MAN and NEVER DIE YOUNG on my channel. Real live acoustic performance with no autotune. Thanks and please pardon the promo.
I like some of the songs on his Covers albums quite a lot. I prefer to hear original JT music, but I think he has done a great job on quite a few covers over the years.
He is always interesting even in unrehearsed situations..I like watching these guys when they are not in their perfect comfort zone. as a player I always learn something everytime I see a good player perform..when somebody like James Taylor has a lifetime of timeless classic under his belt I think its great he wants to have some fun doing tunes by others he appreciates..He doesn't have to hit a home run every time.
100% perfection would have been having Mr. David Lindley on fiddle. Saw Jackson Browne spring of !978 at St. Paul Civic Center during his "Running on Empty" Tour. The height of his commercial success. James Taylor, like Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac always at his best. Great take of the ultimate "White Man's player " song!!!
Thanks so much for posting! I saw JB in Tokyo 3 months ago; it was wonderful. He's such a humble, normal and genuinely "nice guy," unlike some rock stars veterans.
J.B. covers lotsa songs; Bruce, too. But to have some other A List artist want to do YOUR song seems to be a huge tribute and take alot of balls to do it WITH you.
Great story Jackson tells about showing up at the Little Bear in Evergreen, CO after a show and the band asks him to join in for a few songs. The singer asks Jackson if he knows Take It Easy, not having a clue that Jackson co-wrote the song...
the guitar solo halfway this track, soundsssssssssss amazingngngngngngn..or is the pedal that explodes.Pedal steel guitar explodes their notes on stage;that's where they made fore. The high vive, six ,seven or eight strings?
It appears that the great Greg Lietz was on pedal steel for this concert. He got the sneaky Pete steel line just perfectly. I have always preferred Jackson's version of this tune. He wrote most of the tune, but Glen Frey came up with the Winslow Arizona line and finished the song.
And made the song famous and put Winslow on the map. Statue of Glenn Frey in Winslow,AZ. Miss him so much. Feel for his family and Eagles who all miss him. He is full of smiles for Deacon!
No it’s Val McCallum, an excellent and very musical guitar player, and the also musically deep Greg Leisz on pedal steel. And waiting to go on with James for his set wandering around in the background is another guitarist extraordinaire, Michael Landau. There were lots of very talented people onstage that day in addition to James and Jackson who are also two of my favorites
Sorry , the world does not need another: sub-standard, shaky, bad audio cell phone video of a concert when there are professional recordings of such, I love these guys and this song but ,,,,, gag,
Fallen? I don't get that. He's still going strong, even at this age. Listen to him doing his own stuff earlier this year: ruclips.net/video/BkeOJgK20BQ/видео.html
I was there at Fenway that night to see my all time two favorite singer song writers. It was nothing short of magical!
Luv u baby.
@@nasaruddinmohdali5665 my two favorite artists...
Two of my fav artists of all-time! Wonderful...
J.B. does grin like a kid.. looks at J.T. with awe; respect; glee, even. Special moment captured
Literally looking at him thinking, JAMES TAYLOR is singing my song!
The MOST and BEST presentation of FRIENDSHIP I've seen in a LONG LONG WHILE !!!!
Love the grin on Jackson's face when James took the 2nd verse. "JT is singing my song, man."
Ya
You got it ;)
I'm pretty sure they were laughin' as James Taylor is the most MODEST Musical Icon in HISTORY !!! He has NO VANITY whatsever......
BEST LIVE in a while .... I LOVE to see ALL the SMILES !!!!

Your Bro's looking down and smiling on all of us, Terri...

Pure American Rock - may it never die and forever bleed red, white, and blue in the land of freedom!
wow. Just wow. Not just two of the best talents in the world but their bands also! Phenomenal.

If I were David McCallum I'd be very proud indeed
Thank you the information on Val or I would have never known. So good to know. Interesting. I’ll revisit Tiny Desk.
Amazing!!!! Two legends performing a classic! Love both of these guys!!!
James taylor is always smiling when hes performing. I luv that.

Fantastic performance from both Jackson Browne and James Taylor. Wonderful musicians and gracious people. Thanks so much for posting.

Wonderful! Two legends enjoying them selves...keep on rocking👍
Two of my all time favorites! These guys are legends in their own time.
Two wonderful giants of music doing what they have always done, bring joy and hope to millions, punctuatour lives for over half a century with their music.

My two great loves. How fortunate I am, to live my life always having them around. 💜Thanks for posting, CC!
So happy for them. Obviously a fulfilment of one of Jackson's career desires to play with James. I know hes been a fan from long ago. Niceee.
Jackson Brown at the Performing Art Center Newark, NJ last night. He killed it. What a great performer.
First time I've ever seen JT play an electric guitar. Love both of these guys!
Two of my favorites of all times..
R.I.P. Glen Frey
wish you could've been there. ❤
"If I wasn't [up] here tonight, I'd be [out] there. tonight."
Wise and lucky man. Has the best seat in the place. Always. :)
Damn some songs just make you feel SO good!
Wonderful performers memories 💖
This may be the first time I've ever seen James play an electric. Nice Tele, btw!
Really great It would have been nice to see the great guitar solo
Incredible Duet best ever fantastic song, love it
Love it. Thanks for sharing this.
only 8000 views! It's Jackson Browne AND James Taylor singing Take It Easy! Wow!
every time James taylor sings a song that isnt his.....he instantly makes me lose it....hes so damn good.
as much as i Iove JT, and as good as he is here, I thought his two covers records were dreadful. Embarrassingly bad.
yeah, love JT but those cover albums were not his best work for sure... speaking of covers, I'd greatly appreciate it if some JT fans would check out my piano & vocal tribute versions of THE FROZEN MAN and NEVER DIE YOUNG on my channel. Love the guy, but I thought he blew it here. His timing was off.
The smiliest video I've ever seen, wonderful!!
I was there from Tokyo. It was a fantastic experience.
Awesome upload! Thank you 😀👍
I love this song😍😘

I saw the same Jackson on the same tour in 78 Ken. Great show in Greensboro, NC. David on lap slide.
JT playing an electric guitar? That’s a rare sight indeed.
Yes!!
He plays it for his own song Steamroller.
Thanks so much for posting! I saw JB in Tokyo 3 months ago; it was wonderful. He's such a humble, normal and genuinely "nice guy," unlike some rock stars veterans.
Vecchi si diventa. Grandi si resta!!😀😀 grazie ragazzini!!
Just pure magic man! Magic.
Great tribute ! God bless 😊
Love this ♥️
I’m loving this !!😍 😍💕🦋
Classic country rock. 👍👏🤗
Legends!
Two of my favorite folks! Wow.
J.B. covers lotsa songs; Bruce, too. But to have some other A List artist want to do YOUR song seems to be a huge tribute and take alot of balls to do it WITH you.
JB and JT....pure F-R-C!........since the late 70's...my musical staple!
Val's RAISED eyebrows and SMILE - SAYS IT ALL - whoever saw James Taylor - as even a little VAIN ???? .........not me .....NOT ever !!!!
I'm SURE he was getting a HUGE BIG KICK of J T being in a "different" wheelhouse - than straight up FOLK Hero !!!
J. T. Might have been picked up in Winslow when he had hair. Haha. Great version by two of the best singers and song writers of this generation.
Hair or not, I'd pick him up anywhere, He could sing to me ;-)
Beautiful!!
thanks !!
The suns shining , the music is reminding, how excellent JT and JB are sounding!👍😁
Jackson Browne is the most underrated songwriter of all time. His catalogue blows James Taylor's away (and I like JT, but it ain't even close).
Great story Jackson tells about showing up at the Little Bear in Evergreen, CO after a show and the band asks him to join in for a few songs. The singer asks Jackson if he knows Take It Easy, not having a clue that Jackson co-wrote the song...
funny!
😂😂😂😂
Two of the best
RIP Glenn ...we miss you man
Cool. .great performance
Superb! Oh...to have David Lindley on fiddle !!!!!!!😎
For those that do not know, Jackson who 75%of this song. Glen Frey close it out. Great combination.
Gosh you guys still sound so Fine* yay!
the best- takin it easy!!!
JT and JB. Good buddies just playin' a gig.
Jackson, James and Sean? Is that you?
Good fun!
way to go

Do you have them singing Doctor My Eyes together? I can't find it anywhere on RUclips.
It kind of doesn’t matter if you’re accomplished musician the song take it easy sounds good when you say it it

Is that Matthew Sweet up there on guitar in the black-rimmed glasses I see?
No it’s Val McCallum, an excellent and very musical guitar player, and the also musically deep Greg Leisz on pedal steel. @@JustAGuitarPlayer Thanks for the response. Great liner notes!
I said way to go
Who is the other guitarist other than James Taylor and Jackson Browne. Did Jackson Browne help write this EAgles Song?
the eagles helped Jackson Browne write it
James Taylor always look really awkward playing an electric guitar.
Dianakrall and James Taylor
let go then
pardon me for not knowing, but who's the third dude singing with JB and JT?
James, why the capo on an electric guitar?
or up in the air
Who is the third gentlemen on the guitar
Val McCallum
There's some kid tryin' to call himself JT.. Just shameful.

Somewhat shocking to see how far James Taylor has fallen. He used to be one of my heroes.
Fallen? I don't get that. He's still going strong, even at this age. Listen to him doing his own stuff earlier this year: ruclips.net/video/BkeOJgK20BQ/видео.html
