Same here. I’ll definitely get a new one when/if they ever come out. I imagine they’ll be significantly more expensive than the previous runs, so I’m already saving up for one.
mcj5644 they ranged from about $450-$650 depending on configuration, with the executive scarabs being closer to the $450 and the Navy scarabs being closer to the $650.
Rich S no idea when they’re actually coming out. Microtech has said sometime this year. Not too long ago Anthony Marfione had a picture on his Instagram story of a new one he’s carrying and testing out.
@@prod.deathwish I'm familiar with the Lightning OTF's. I've specifically seen these though as true Microtech clones. Same names and designations on the blades, handles, and pocket clips. I don't know which came first, Microtech Scarab(the chicken) or the Lightning OTF(the egg). ;-)

I've seen knock-offs of these. I didn't connect they were a Microtech model though that's what was claimed. Is this a discontinued model then?
Yes they’ve been discontinued for about 5 years. Supposedly re-releasing sometime this year.
