+Ness Pyrosa Thanks a bunch! The arrangement in the version from Distant Worlds is pretty solid, but I felt it lacked a bit of the drive from the original.
Thank fuck someone finally put in all the notes at the part at 2:43 lol. Even in the official orchestral arrangement they always cut out a note or two in the french horn section.
No other soundtrack has ever given me the feels like this one. Literally goosebumps and almost emotional on every track. Made me feel like a was 7 again when I first played it on its release. Thank you.

The epic quality of this orchestral album makes me think of movies like Star wars, Back to the Future, Pirate of the Caribbeans, honestly, same great quality
It's crazy, that while playing this game, when I was in Grade 5 - brought me such a strange sense of peace, belonging & really was one of the best virtual adventures I have ever experienced. Unreal what feelings of nostalgia can do
You did an amazing job with this soundtrack!! I purchased it on iTunes and left a review for you!! I look forward to your Mega Man 2 album in the future as well!! :)
Top quality work. Even down to the sound effects of the train in the background.. it's all extremely true to the original and really does it justice with modern hardware. This song is really complex and hard to get right. Bravissimo!
Oh my GOD. You. Are. AMAZING! What fantastic remixes!! You truly have a talent, man. This is an epic, driving orchestral arrangement (the PHRASING and fullness of the instruments!) and extra little things added in - fantastic extra lilts. Nice samples too - it sounds like a live orchestra! Also, as a French horn player, 3:40 would make me cry tears of joy from playing those rips. Too awesome!
I have been looking for reimaginations of the old FFMusic catalogue for about ten years finding some that I think are okay and have a certain flair, but this encapsulates the word nostalgia. Thank you!
This is by far the best intro to any final fantasy game that I've played (played 7-10 and some of 6 and 4). The sense or urgency conveyed by this piece cannot be understated. Followed by the foreboding and ominous music of the reactor. Is it really just a powerplant? Is Shinra just a greedy power company? Is there more to it? Your remakes are impeccable. I enjoy every single one of them, even when it's from games I don't particularly care for (like sotn). Keep it up!
I've listened to all of your orchestral soundtrack for FFVII here, and this one is my favorite. Mainly for being a pure improvement of the original, and it is my favorite version of this. Great work on all of these, keep it up.
This is awesome. And the FF theme at the end - thanks so much for not making it go from one channel to the other over and over. I find that nauseating and for some reason people do it with that song all the time.
WOW! this rendition sent me to the moment i played FF7 for the very first time, it brings me a lot of great memories hearing this. AMAZING!... I finished this game (for like the 90th time) last november, guess im gonna play it again! AWESOME JOB.
I love the music from ff7, I think it's Nobuo Uematsu's best work. Other versions of this piece feel limp, moving at a slower tempo. Yours maintains all the energy of the original! I'm glad you kept the percussive section around 2:30, which is mysteriously missing from other orchestrated versions, I think it adds important dynamics. Really, you feature the percussion section the right amount compared to other versions. I do prefer the lead part around 1:28 to be played by strings, but that's my only nitpick!
Wow...I just stumbled upon your "Holding My Thoughts In My Heart" video and made my way to this one. You truly have a gift man. To echo the others on the page, your work is unbelievable. I can only hope that if you haven't been employed to work on the remake, that it will be half as good as this. Keep up the great work man. You have a new fan/subscriber! P.S. are you taking requests? Shinra Theme? Lifestream? Those Chosen By The Planet? haha
I must say I don't often give praises for remixes, but it would be a lie if I was actually not impressed of your composes thus far, I've heard nearly all ff7 remakes and by far your music is at the top with a very select few. Well balanced with some much needed oomph! Great work and because of your skill I'd be crazy not to suggest remakes of Saga Frontier 2, Final Fantasy Tactics and Legend of Mana, for they have fantastic ost's but it just seems no one can make a good remake without ruining it, something I believe you just might be able to pull off. I'd be very happy for these, but I shouldn't even ask, atleast we got great re-orchestrations of other great titles. I hope you plan on continuing your work for some time. And thanks
Vincent Peters Wow, thank you for taking the time to write this! I'm going to continue making concept-albums for a while, with a selected number of songs from the respective game, as long as I feel I can add something to it. I was getting sick of hearing the same songs performed from ff7. Whenever a live orchestra plays music from ff7, we get "One Winged Angel" and the "Main Theme", when there are SO many beautiful themes from the game to choose from! The same thing goes for the games you mentioned, which are shamefully overlooked by remix artists and live orchestras alike. I will eventually at least make a JRPG collection album, but for now I am set for 2 more albums this year, stepping away from JRPG's for a while. I appreciate the suggestions and I really appreciate your kind words. Thank you!
+Charston Douglas (CDCS) Thanks for the support! I currently don't have any plans to cover Chrono Trigger, as I feel it has been done by so many others already - still, I love the music from both Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross, so hey, who knows in the future? In the meantime, I recommend you check out Malcolm Robinson's channel for some sweet orchestrations from Chrono Trigger: ruclips.net/channel/UCSd7kclU6MF9s_QvbjxN3Aw
There will be no good explanation as to why you have no subscribers. NONE. Seriously though, once I make a Smash Bros fangame, totally putting this in.
"RUclips algorithm" is the explanation. It has nothing to do with skill or content quality, sadly. I just found his channel by accident as I was looking for an orchestrated version of The Extreme.
Pretty good, but the piano needs more oomph to it like the original ps1 version. This song really needs that intense piano and drum line, especially in the beginning to set the mood for what's supposed to be going on.
This version is better than the one on Distant Worlds. Its extremely accurate, and it has incredible energy to it, just like the original game! Your an amazing composer! Keep up the good work! Also, do you do live shows?
Adam Redd Thanks, that was the idea! I like the arrangement on Distant Worlds, but yeah, something missing :/ I'm on such a low level atm, and I don't expect to see my arrangements performed live at any time, but I'm just happy putting it out there :)
I really do like what you're trying to do. It's a faithful arrangement with small personal flairs that i'm really loving. I hope what i am about to say doesn't come off as overly critical. -Glock/piano too loud, overdriving output. -Too "dynamic" needs compression. Without compression, drums get drowned out by the strings. -Too center panned theres no wide field mastering. -Needs an fft filter to cut down on high fidelity that's making track too "scratchy" -The harmonies arent similar levels so the horns sound very flat at times. Regardless, you've gained another subscriber :)
+mogstah Thanks for the feedback, this is useful information for me! This was my first "real" production, and I learned a lot working through it, but it surely has some issues. Trying to improve mixing and mastering as I go along.
Sad that this is immediately better than most of the arrangements I've heard with live orchestras. I'm so thankful for virtual orchestras and the talented people who know how to use them... I actually feel bad for live orchestras and the dearth of poor arrangements they deal with.
liked and FUCKING subscribed. this tingles the member berries in ALL the right ways. no lie, i cried a little. ff7 as a whole may be kind of overrated, but it was still a damn god game, and more to the point it had an AMAZING soudtrack. uematsu was brilliant, and so are you for doing proper justice for once to some of his lesser used pieces. i like TBM as much as the next guy, but their album panders to the base a little too hard, and misses out on some really wonderful scores in the process.
Sadly the news of the remake has been turbulent... multipart Or episodic and the kicker, each part costs 60 not including the DLC season pass and an insane price tag totalling 180 for the base game and other spinoffs plus a Mobile game added to VII. Truly the darkest days are behind us Or will Square Enix become more a mobile publisher?
I love how it starts from the beginning. I mean the VERY beginning. Like, right after hitting "New Game" beginning.
+HyperDragon Sweet, I'm glad that came across alright :)
Dude...I've listened to just about every FF7 OST mix and rendition ever made and THIS is by far the greatest version I've ever heard.
YESSS!!! You kept 2:29 in! I love that part
Yeah the track loses it's intense nature without this breakbeat
SE should hire you for the Remake. Well done!
Yes! Agree!!
This must be the most epic opening in gaming history! So dramatic,so dynamic! The perfect adventure and the most satisfying story ever for me!
No other soundtrack has ever given me the feels like this one. Literally goosebumps and almost emotional on every track. Made me feel like a was 7 again when I first played it on its release. Thank you.

1:06 - 1:21 gives me chills every time I listen, be it this arrangement or the original PS1 version.
The epic quality of this orchestral album makes me think of movies like Star wars, Back to the Future, Pirate of the Caribbeans, honestly, same great quality

Sold. This is beautiful and I'm buying the album when my next paycheck comes in.
Of all the years I've enjoyed Final Fantasy VII, this is got to be the best of them all. Love it! FUCKING LOVE IT! :)
It's crazy, that while playing this game, when I was in Grade 5 - brought me such a strange sense of peace, belonging & really was one of the best virtual adventures I have ever experienced. Unreal what feelings of nostalgia can do

+Michael Palermo Hey, thanks! Very nice of you leaving a review as well! The Mega Man 2 Symphony is being published right now :)
Best opening sequence and composition of ALL TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Nobuo Uematsu
best version ive found so far, thumbs up !
this is awesome, you did a great job doing this.
Thanks!

thewisemonkey07 Thanks Pickle-O! Had a blast orchestrating this one.
Your music is amazing.
Pontus Hultgren, you'r work is beyond amazing!
This will have been the second time I've listened to this, too good not to buy.
Done my research. Best re-composer out there. even tops the damn re-compositions of the actual creator.
this is magnificent...years of joy...just running down my face.

That's a great one, very nice idea for the intro and you get the epic side of this major FF7 track, good job :)
the most
faithful version ever!!
I compared this with the remake version of the game. And to be honest this is on the same level! Square Enix should hire you!
Wonderful album
"Don't f*ck up."

WOOOO O.o great job ... and thx for our community FF7
Magnifique!
I would love to see what you could do with music from Final Fantasy IV and V. Some of the most underrated music is from those games.
+Midnight Poet I'm probably going to do something around FFV eventually - love that soundtrack!

Amazing! How am i just finding this now!?!?!?!? Wtf!?!?!?
Holy crap, I just found this and am head over heels. What are the chances there is a physical copy of this available for purchase somewhere?
Ha, seeing how you just stumbled into the facebook post I made right after this...good timing on your part :)
Damn. Great stuff.

LAST NEWS!!!!
There is a similar fragment, possibly an inspiration from the theme of pirates of the Caribbean.
It's almost time guys......

Very good renditions of FF OSTs ! :) because of that ! i've got a 1 MILLION GIL ! i mean ! 1 SUBSCRIBER :D
Jesus Christ this is better than the remake!!!
I think that we're missing Rufus Welcoming Ceremony in this album.
Any chance for that?
いいなぁそれ
what have you done?? the original will never be epic enough again
I see Final Fantasy VII, I sub
Why is it I never ever see "Lurking in The Darkness" included in albums such as this?

What version of the Final Fantasy Prelude is that at the end?
Would love to have your songs added to the game via 7th Heaven 2.0 that recently released
What equipment are you using dude? This is fucking awesome. Sounds exactly like the new trailer!
+dnb47 Added info in the description :) The trailer used the recording from "Distant Worlds I", worth checking out!
+Pontus Hultgren Keep up the good work man, Nobuo would be astounded.
May I ask… did you use a DAW for this and various sample libraries?
1:39
Hi, if I buy this album on itunes, is it royalty free? Thanks
3:31-3:35. Jävligt snyggt
+Gustav Kviele Tackar! Blev väl en rätt schysst uppbyggnad där
+Pontus Hultgren Du fick till hela plattan rätt rejält schysst! Hör gärna mer, köper gärna mer
Requesting the main theme plse!!!!
Hello Pontus. which orchestal sound collection are you using ?
They're listed in the description :)
My bad :)
You made a great reorchestration ! You felt the whole essence of the track and adapted every subtlety
Do you have a full length version of the opening prelude used as the credits?
+DarkEcoKat Not yet - I only recorded the electric piano for these vids. I'll make something more of it soon enough
Who the absolute shit would downvote this??

remake materia(L) right here
Yeah this is amazeing and all but I have no incentive to buy it.
No Shinra theme. or the Turks Theme
C'est pas l'opening ça
Ah si c'est bien l'opening, à moins que tu ne confondes avec le Prélude
@@clementrenaud4260 Oui désolé, le prélude est commun à tous les final fantasy.
