For me, it wasn't sadness but an eerie sense of overall uncertainty. It ranges from feelings of isolation and agitation to a faint glimmer of hope before circling back starting all over again. Or am I reading too much into it? 😂
Fantastic. This has always been one of my favourite tracks from FFVII, from the first time I heard it in the train graveyard. It has this haunting, sinister opening, and yet it's kind of melancholy and sad. But then it gives you this beautiful, almost cheery tinkling of xylophone, and soothes you for a moment. I thought it really captured the feeling of the slums beneath the plate, and the song brings forth imagery of it every time. Such a nice mix...and the horns are a really nice touch.
Words cannot say how great Nobuo Uematsu really was. If I had one composer for the rest of my life, and no other music I'd be happy. But you, sir. Listening to my favorite songs, re-organized, has made my life complete. If you did this for every ff game, I'd listen to nothing but them. They are AMAZING to say the least.
***** You're welcome! I love your arranges! And yes! I'm playing the game actually for first time, I'm on the second CD. I really love the OST, is so emotional! And now I'm so happy with the news of a remake. It's going to be amazing!
This is amazing! I love this so much. Normally I'm a diehard original fan, but your version is so much better! It's so sweet, so melodramatic.... it has the feelings of relief, sorrow, misery, the sense of giving up, but it defines each of them so well, while still following the song's passage, which makes it like a story, or a passage of emotions that each person in the area goes through.
Awesome work! You really can feel the sadness and beauty in this track! This was one of the best original track from the beginning. But i love our version!
I mean so far i've been dissapointed by the remake music we've heard, the orchestral pieces lack the power that the fanmade versions have, there are so many people on youtube creating versions of the origional songs that feel updated but still keep that sense of nostalgia and the power that the origional tracks had.

Please can you tell me which version of ''Prelude'' music exactly you use at the end of every one of your videos ? Thanx a bunch !, Your music is just amazing btw , Square should hire you for the Remake :)
These orchestrations are utterly gorgeous - how did you get such an authentic sound? Also I noticed the album is no longer for sale using the link - is there somewhere else I can purchase?
jomo999 Thanks! There are many great orchestral sound libraries available nowadays. Most notably here are 8Dio's Adagio Strings. Sorry about the broken link! Loudr has been purchased by CD-Baby, so I'm waiting for fresh outlets.
+Arkthus Sweet! Thanks for putting it together! Sorry for the trouble of looping some of the songs, but I never intended them to be used in game. Guess I should have thought of that :)
This is easily one of my favorite tracks in all of FF7. There's such a sadness to it that really helps elevate FF7 for me.

In all of Final Fantasy to be honest.
@@ContemporaryCompendium summed it up pretty well for me 😄👍
Same. One of the greatest pieces of music every written imho. Nobuo Uematsu is a brilliant composer.
That's so beautiful
Even after we die. Even after this world is nothing but ashes. This song will live on in our memories.

What do you mean by "was?" Dude's still alive and working on the remake. Lol
Yes, I totally agree. Uematsu and Isao Tomita, both Japanese, but both of them composed some of the greatest music ever imho.
This track was it for me. It was my favorite in the game. So mysterious and haunting at the same time
Wow, I have no words with this, so sad and peaceful at the same time
+Taki Tiaoca Thank you for commenting! That's what I really like about the FF7 soundtrack overall, the underlying angst yet beauty.

Your compositions are seriously incredible. Remake worthy!
Love how haunting this sounds.
Awesome rendition. This tune really made the beginning of the adventure.

This was one of the best original track from the beginning. But i love our version!
When it's 38°C outside but this song still makes you shiver.
Once again, you win. I choose this song for my FFVII music mod for Anxious Hearts. I imagine I'll be back for some of your other music.
+Dustin Lee Sweet! Please do!
This is lovingly crafted. Beautiful.
eerie darkness lurks.. ahh i wanna play ff7 again..!
Really excellent
Square Enix could totally use ur tracks for the Remake
His music will probably be better quality than the remake music to be honest
How could they use them on something that's never coming out
They HAVE TO bro , pray for not ”electro remixes " for the remake 😅

They have better than that. They have Nobuo Uematsu.
I’ve always know this as Nibelheim

+Murg Raal Paljon kiitoksia :)
Just listening to your megaman album, you have a good taste in game music :D

Never mind, i didn't see the other links below the Loudr one!

No problem. I purchased on iTunes, will be listening to on the way to work!
jomo999 Thanks for the support, hope you'll enjoy it!
thank you
One of my favorites, only the low sound used at around 1:30 doesn't fit in my opinion.. (I don't know the instruments lol)
Sounds like a cello?
1:18 cute part lol
Definitely will play the game with some of your music tracks instead of the originals (with a mod ^^)
+Arkthus If you do, please make a video of it! Would be really cool to see =) Cheers
+Pontus Hultgren I'll try to do it, but I can't promise anything 😉
+Arkthus Sweet! Thanks for putting it together! Sorry for the trouble of looping some of the songs, but I never intended them to be used in game. Guess I should have thought of that :)
***** don't need to apologize, your work is great the way it is ^^
Hi! Can I use this cover for a video of mine?
I hear this when I got to see my sugar level XD
Nobuo must've really liked the Twin Peaks
Awe... the chello is way too low.. it's higher octave gave contrast to this track. I'd love to relisten to this with it up at least 1 octave.
I don't really like this remix
