Hey great video, I just ordered this and its gonna come in 3 days, Im just wondering as everything seems amazing on this one thing Im wondering is about watching videos and movies, ive never had a ultra monitor I bought it mainly to play RTS games like upcoming knights of honor 2, manor lords and AOE4 and cyberpunk2077, but with the new aspect ratio Ive never experienced how will watch content look like will it all be fullscreen still or black bars on everything?
Should I buy this monitor if I play competitive fps shooters like call of duty and warzone? I have never really used hdr before and not sure if it’s good for esports, like is it good for a sweaty esports gamer or more for laid back gaming, the fan on the monitor also worries me
Fan is quiet I can't even hear it. I would hold off atm. Wait for ces and see what the new 8k monitors are going to be priced at with displayport 2.1. I assume they will he super high but that might bring down the price on this dell oled.
If it were the Holy Grail, it would be 32inch, Color Calibrated, 10-bit and full hdmi 2.1 48Gbps and have Display Port 2.1 For me the so called holy grail is a Bright OLED monitor that both a perfect color calibrated creators monitor and high refresh at a all around usable aspect ratio and 32-37 inches.
Yeah I listen to a ton of speakers at that price point and for the type of music that I listen to they sounded the best and the Cambridge amp is really really nice I'm thoroughly enjoying the setup thanks for the comment and the support appreciate you
I just picked up the Samsung Neo G8 4k 240hz , 32 inches, curved (if one wants that) . I believe the curve is more essential for the VA panel as it helps the viewing angle, it makes it very good. The QD OLED is nice tech but imho it's a few years behind at the moment. They enabled it to do 100hz on HDMI 2.0. and 175hz on DP 1.4. They worked magic on the G8 to do 240hz thru BOTH HDMI 2.1 and DP 1.4, SOMEHOW. I've yet to test it full tilt on a 4k game with 240fps going thru of course. 40 series card is next. My point being, not only is the refresh rate lower on the OLED, but its also not 4k. Their s95b TV is 4k and can somewhat do 144hz. Granted they are still too big for real monitor use. If they shrunk it down to 43 at least, it would be a definite LG C2 killer in that size range. I compared alot of TV's I was trying to use for a monitor. I ended up liking the QN90b over the s95b, for the size but also for the overall peak brightness and very good blacks for a non OLED. I believe the g8 is a smaller, higher ppi, and faster version of the QN90B. It's the same reason I'm not that crazy about the upcoming OLED G8, its still not a 4k monitor. I think we are about 2-3 years away from it though, by that time , I'll upgrade. I'm happy with the Neo G8. Lastly, no worries of burn in on non OLED, I deal with alot of static things if I'm using for gaming or pc use. Also no concern about the autodimming mode of OLEDs.
@@ployth9000 It's been great! It really requires a bit of time to tune it perfectly, but I'm just enjoying watching HDR demo's on RUclips lol, I just started playing Overwatch with HDR on. I can get 240fps in that game easily, so it's perfect for the 240hz
@@ployth9000 No scan lines. The problem is people don't realize that they need to calibrate it. I thought it was horrible at first too. I can walk anyone thru the process if they need it. I'm thinking of going back to MicroCenter to do theirs, because it was clearly not calibrated or too many people messed up the settings
Sorry on the audio only on the left side
Oh man, I was wondering if my hifi audio setup was breaking down LOL, you scared the crap out of me!! hahah

Pin your comment so it's at the top so people can see that you know about the audio.
@@Swindeller13 ok ty
Can't you just fix the audio and reload??
Just ordered mine today I'll get it next week how exciting!
Awesome let me know what you think
I got mine refurbished a couple of months ago for $790! Couldn't pass it up, best panel I've ever looked at.
I just got this monitor and it’s awesome. Best monitor I’ve ever had!
Agreed
I have this monitor, it's awesome. Definitely the best gaming monitor I've ever seen or owned.
Agreed on a whole another level
I just got mine. So impressed with it
Same it's never level stuff
Good thing I bought one last week!!
Mine comes tomorrow!
Nice
I am watching this on my AW3821 like you had. I am so wanting to buy the AW3423DW. Do you think it is worth it to upgrade?
@@MTGFoil Yes, it's still worth it. My main monitor now is a Samsung OLED 49-in. I got a hell of a deal on it. I absolutely love it
This would be pretty neat for me if my room wasn’t the same size as a broom closet😅
very good video. keep it up
Thanks I appreciate the support I'm learning as I go

A big part of your video i almost just mono-audio, only from the left side, right side has like 10% volume
In Doom you did not even turned on the HDR.
Yeah I caught that and I didn't have hdr calibrated

Can't argue with that

Sounds awesome
Two reasons I didn't go with this monitor:
1) if you play fps, 34" is too wide.
2) it's not 4k
Im debating if I am going to keep. it I might wait to see what 8k monitors show up at ces
34 is not too wide for fps
