Wow! Can't believe how well this video has done! I haven't made any videos on this channel in years now, but if you enjoyed this, check out my new channel with my current band Sight After Dark! ruclips.net/channel/UCDUpanoPZcSgTkn9lWb60yA Thanks so much!
Another tip: think of the audience in zones. Acknowledge the back of the room first; the people up front will feel acknowledged because they're close and you're more likely to interact with them by default. Get used to walking and playing/singing and going to different parts of the stage.
I've watched five videos on the page performance and this is the first one to give actual tips not just generalities. Actually showing how to engage and how to create better movement on the stage with extremely helpful thank you
Glad it was helpful! I haven't posted in a while because I've been busy with my new band, but I plan on being active on this channel again. Appreciate you watching!
My man I work as a figure model at an art college and everything that you say applies to figure modeling as well as lead singing this is a great video way to go
Cool tips but you’d have to tailor your presence based on genre of music. This works for rock, punk, etc. But you can’t picture movements with a darker sound and ambiance of music.

I mostly play at churches so some of that I'm not sure what they would do however, whenever I'm not playing my guitar I definitely put it behind me and pray my straplocks hold. I've only had them fail once...

i guess it might depend on the style of music but johnny cash did just fine without doing most everything you suggest . there are many examples i could name { one that comes to mind is MOTORHEAD}, the main thing is to connect with the audience and have something they want to hear.

How do you decide when and where to walk around? I feel so awkward
@HoshiHikari maybe you do it when you feel like it. Just a thought, starting out myself. 💃
2:45 pro tip, smash your guitar into the wall for extra stage presence
The Kaleidoscopes Nice !!
lmao yeah if I had the balls i'd smash the whole thing
💀
" acknowledge the people at the back of the room"
😭Me with 3 people at my gig.
all things in time my friend!
😭
In that situation, just really hype up those 3 people and treat them like they're 3000. 🤟
