I get that Amarga is way better now than before but with mixpacks dominating officials not being able to run away well makes it significantly harder to survive near any of the hotspots. Ability to espace is the most important thing on officials I feel. In this clip you were lucky they didn't have something faster to chase you down but they usually do.
Makes me wanna play more of my Amarg again :) I wish bonebreak didn't ruin the stomp, because if a Dasp ground bonebreaks the amarg now, you're doomed. I feel like if we could still stomp but not move, maybe we could scare off some dinos or even take them down with us.
Definitely switch to knockback. Since the pycno nerf this update amarg is my new main. His only problem is lack of the forager ability which forces you to stick to hot spots mostly unfortunately.

Amarg is definitely not the best solo dino, it is significantly better then what it was before but it lacks speed to escape or the speed to "Finish" a kill if the enemy wants to move away and just heal or follow you waiting for thier buddies. Ine day or year it will ger a re work. Wish it had a gallop lile the campto for a faster run but use more stam. Also amarg has great oxygen, great for trying to escape.
I've played on community servers, I tend to prefer officials because half the time when I play the dino I want to play on a community servers no one wants to touch me and I get bored

And then either a random dino finishes the job, or one of the original attackers switches to another dino and finishes the job
Finally someone explained official servers well done
The best is when your 1v2ing and winning then some random person shows up and helps them out and u die
That's why I go with the knockback amarga. You take less damage, and force the aggressor to use more stam to get back to you.

That’s why I only play the fast dinos on officials. I just never survive against megapacks if I can’t outrun them
