Dude, welcome to the Heilung rabbit hole. Enjoy the journey. You don't need to understand the words because you just feel the meaning of the song in your bones.
Kai-Uwe Faust is the founder of the Band and he is german. He is not only a tattoo artist specialised in nordic tattoos, he is a real shaman. And he combines his tattoo sessions with shamanic healing rituals. He is the guy looking like a shaman and doing the throat singing.
The possible origin of this song is taken from the Eggja stone, a stone with runic carvings found in Norway. The gist of the story is a group of men on a ship landed by a village. The ship was broken down, the stone talks about worn oarlocks and a tired mast top (think Viking longship I suppose). The men decided to attack the village instead of asking for some help. The attackers were killed by the villagers. This unsettels the once peaceful village. Further songs in this album/show look at how the shamen and the villagers are trying to heal from this ordeal and return back to the peaceful times
Given the history, I believe the it is the Romans who are the enemies. Heilung comes from the German meaning 'healing' and the villagers are supposed to the Germanic tribes. Most of Heilung's songs from this album are restoration of runes in Proto-Germanic
All of the bones, shells and antlers they have on stage are real, yes. This is their first concert ever. Their entire concert was a long magical ritual, wonderfully relaxing and mesmerizing. Have seen them a few times now and am equally captivated each time. Heilung is like a drug. At first you are like "this is a cool song". Then, after about a millon hours of listening to everything you can possibly find, you realize you are singing words in a language you dont know while basically doing a sort of haka/war dance in your laundry room while you fold your clothes. I just stumbled across Wardruna in this exact video about a week ago!! They popped up in my feed and I immediately went down a FANTASTIC Wardruna rabbit hole. Sooo good! Growing up in America - you are simply American. And don't get me wrong, I love America with all her faults and will fight to the death for Old Glory... but I wanted to know where I came from. So, started learning about my Norwegian heritage and - I know this sounds dumb... I hate even typing it - but it felt RIGHT. The music, it SOUNDED right, the pictures and videos of the landscape FELT right... I cant explain it. Its like its all soothing somehow. I know it sounds like I'm an American idiot but... like I said, I cant explain it. My goal is to someday travel to where family is/was (apparently the Smola/Kristiansund/Surnadal areas) to explore and see if BEING there speaks to my bones even louder than the music does
Krigsgaldr literally means war chant. "What am I supposed to do If I want to talk about peace and understanding, but you only understand the language of the sword? I let my blade do the talking"
I had the pleasure of seeing them live in Atlanta last December and HOLY CRAP the videos do NOT do them justice! The percussion from the drums and the vocals and the energy from the stage and the crowd are SO much....MORE!! Yes, the entire production is a vibe and yes, the entire concert is like that and yes, it's non-stop AWESOME!!
9:58 They're not exactly screaming - this is throat singing. Their music doesn't really fit into any modern genre - they try to recreate music like it was in times past. The members of the band are from Denmark, Norway and Germany btw. The name of the band - Heilung - is the German word for healing. Their music is inspired by old runic inscriptions of the germanic iron age and the Viking age, and they use a variety of languages: German, English, Gothic (not in the modern way of the word goth being used, this means they use the language of the old germanic tribe called the Goths), Old High German, Icelandic, Latin, Old English (which is also known as Old Low German and Old Saxon btw - the language of the Saxons, Proto-Norse, Proto-Germanic, and Viking age Old Norse.
Heilung is so amazing. Listening to their music is like tapping into some primal spirit inside you didn’t know you had. Norupo is another beautiful song , if interested..
It's like a memory that is just out of reach...your cells remember and know the lessons....your brain, however, can't quite make sense of it all and trying to get the two in sync is why they journey is so much fun. The HU and Wauaquikuna are groups I have had similar responses to. All musically impeccable but with a level of 'primal' unity that is almost transcendent when you come across it.
I find this style of music to be very interesting, as to how wide of affects it has on me. If I crank the volume up I feel like I could take over a small country, however if I play it softly so that I have to force myself to pick up the vocals I'm out for the night in about 10 minutes or so. Now grantded i used to use Enigma's 1st album to fall asleep to, specifically if I was having problems falls asleep.
If you are familiar with Elizabeth from The Charismatic Voice, she did an interview with the lead female vocalist, Maria Franz, a while back. The lyrics come from writings found on items discovered in archaeological digs
@@bjornh4664 Last night I saw teaser Short, and maybe you did as well, withe Elizabeth and Nik Nocturnal getting togethering for a collab on a Nightwish song.
God I love Maria so much. She has this super intimidating and powerful presence on stage but then in the interview she's super happy and friendly lol. She's amazing, incredible voice.
Out of body experience is about the only way to describe their live rituals. The cool part is is stays with you, and every time you hear it after, you're transported to that same time and place.
Dane here. I have seen them live 4 times in the recent years. It is an awesome trancendal experience. Thetones and voices goes through bone and morrow. It is cathartic AF..... Not at all unusual to see pll in the crowds just mesmerized with tears running down their cheeks....
This made me sub to you. I gotta share some personal experiences. Me personally always felt more at peace in our scandinavian deep woods than anywhere else. Hearing this music opened up something sleeping inside me a connection to my ancestral roots and spirituality. I found a ring of trees in a wooded area a perfect ring of trees probably atleast 250 years old and sat in there and all of a sudden the noises from around all disappeared and i thought i sat there 15 minutes or half an hour but i lost 2 hours just sitting there in the ring and i have never before felt more at peace. This music is amazing on so many levels.
This is their first ever live concert. LIFA live at Castlefest concert is epic. To hear the vocal qualities of Maria Franz even better, listen to the song In Maidjan. Alfadhirhaiti Othan Hamrer hippyer. All from the LIFA concert. Don’t forget Anoana, official video. Norupo, official video. Yes, they are real human forearm bones.
Hold on, this was their FIRST EVER? That's unbelievable, I was at Castlefest when they performed and thoroughly enjoyed them, but now I appreciate this even more. They are incredible.
@@Larrybird696 Songleikr is amazing. I tracked down everything with Maria in it after I found Heilung and glad I did. Each of her musical projects sounds completely unique. That said, in response to the OP, they all had stage experience prior to this concert but this was indeed their first show as Heilung.
The song essentially tells a story of a peaceful village being beset by a war-like people and learning about war and fighting. They refer to their lives shows as rituals and even have opening and closing prayers. I was able to see them live last September. Awesome time.
Their "Heilung Krigsgaldr [Official Video]" video shows this (quite stylish "come to life rock carvings" that depict this in a still quite explicit manner) - ruclips.net/video/K7ZqZVunCb4/видео.html
@@DaLander That video is so effective and upsetting I usually recommend that people watch the live version while first getting into Heilung. I only watched the official video once because it was so raw and painful. I'm already a pacifist so I'm not exactly the target audience for the message, but yeah. They really, really know what they're doing - and they're one of the only groups I've ever seen who can still move people so profoundly through a youtube video of one of their performances.
I'm a BTS ARMY and started watching you because of that but I'm also a big Heilung fan, I've seen them live twice, the last two times they came to Chicago. They are so amazing! Their shows are out of this world. So glad you're checking them out! Her voice is celestial. My favorite female singer!
They're just amazing. I highly recommend their songs In maidjan, in wich you really get to hear her vocal range, and Othan, from the same concert. Btw, Elizabeth, from The charismatic voice, did a pretty interesting interview with Maria Franz, it's definitely worth watching.
I loved your "ignorant" reaction - those are the best and most honest. Thank you for giving Heilung the credit they deserve for every little detail they put into their music and production. Everything about their music is beyond captivating. Live, they are absolutely mesmerizing. You're right that they project more of an atmosphere than a vibe (although their vibe is incredible too)! One of the first things that drew me to them was imagining what it must FEEL like to witness this in person, and it was just as people always say: an "experience" to remember! (Catch them in October if you can - you won't regret it!)
This was there first concert ever, and I was one of the lucky ones to be there. This is even more intense if you are there...just a great band. Btw nice reaction mate!
In Maidjan is a must - and watch the live version from this show - Lifa. Maria's vocals are insane. I heard that when she did the original recording, her husband (produce/musician) and the lead singer kind of just told her to do whatever she wanted. So, she threw a bunch of vocal tricks and techniques at them thinking they would chop it up and sample it out as needed. It sounded so good, they kept the whole thing exactly as she sang it. BTW - nice catch in the call and response high note
This is amazing. RUclips algorithm did a good. That's rare. I've been following Heilung for a while. They are AMAZING. And this video popped up on my algorithm. Never saw a reaction to Heilung until now. Dude... they're fucking phenomenal!
Also, if you have not yet seen this band The Hu.... A must see. Their guitar alone will have you in envy. They did a remake of one of their songs. Look up The HU - Wolf Totem feat. Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach. If you have not already.
If you ever have the chance to get to a concert you should do it. I have seen them live in Munich last December and it was an absolute blast. I am not into much sprituality but the concert made me drift away and move from the first to last tone. And you got it right. afaik the middle part is a conversation between good and bad .
Heilung don't generally like recording their live shows because they want people to come and live the experience. it's not just something you show up and watch. it's something you feel. and their new album is pretty fire as well. which is surprising considering how high the bar was with this album. and one of their songs is in the teaser trailer for Hellblade 2 and that trailer with the song gives me goosebumps
Shaman and warrior exchange... the lullaby of obliteration! You only understand the language of the sword! The sun swastika on the shaman's antlers denotes his power. To me, Maria "Hear me now!" is a stoic goddess of peace.
At midgardsblot in Norway, they've almost become a houseband, as the location is sited at an actual viking burial ground ! The experience is second to none as it goes from the sweet and innocent, to the unrelenting beat that is similar to dark industrial type of HEAVY and RAVE, albeit in their folkish chimera type of interpretation !! skål from Drammen, Norge
If memory serves, the LIFA performance tells a story about a peaceful village that essentially gets dragged into a conflict. Krigsgaldr is the village pleading their case to be left alone. The back and forth starting at 6:53 is the village stating all the things they'd prefer to do instead, however the response to each thing is "But you only understand the language of the sword." Going along with this concept, Alfadhirhaiti is the village's call to war, and later songs in the performance are the aftermath of the battle.
Hey. Here to clarify a thing or two. So the bones that Maria is using are real, and Kai (guy that was “metal screaming”) is using a form of throat singing. He does that through all of the songs in the LIFA performance. Check out the rest of the show, treat yourself. And welcome to the Heilung family.
They are old world reenactment actors and musicians. They sewed their own clothes and made their own instruments and head gear in touch with a Viking village. The songs are old… they speak old Norse. Look up Songliker Hour of the Wolf.. it’s the female and her husband Jason who is on the left.
Maria's voice is extremely good. You absolutely have to hear songs like In Maidan, Norupo or most recently Anoana. It is earth, sky, night, day, peace and war. This music experience helps me to deal better with my depression.
I've been to this festival and saw them live. The video almost doesnt compare to the real experience. The base, the vibe, the crowd.. I think everyone there was enthraled and just seeing/hearing something on an whole other level. Loved it
Heilung is my escape from reality. Like you said, it's like you're in a different place/ out of body experience. Another one I really like from them is Norupo.
Not only real bones...HUMAN REAL BONES. A fan donated them, sadly he was terminally ill. Heilung has a special permit to travel with the bones (human and animal). Maybe the speech/growls/chanting doesn't sound human to you because they are doing a vocal technique that is also used in mongolian chanting. Is like having two or three voices but is only one person doing it (I don't know the actual term, English is not my first language). If you listen to The Hu (a mongolian rock band) you can notice what I'm saying. Fun fact: Maria doesn't stop to play the bones in all the song
this song really has the ability to enhance whatever mindset your in, I can put it on to relax for bed or to get pumped up on my way to play hockey, very few songs have this much versatility when it comes to matching and enhancing your mood
I also love watching reactions to this song, yours is one of my faves. Wish I could hear it for the first time again! The whole production, Maria’s vocals, all amazing. I believe the male singer with the falsetto was a guest singer for this specific performance, but I could be wrong- what talent!
Heilung concerts are more like a spiritual summoning of the ancestors than it is a concert. The woman singing is Maria Franz. You should listen to their song "In Maidjan" (from the same concert) to get a better idea of her incredible vocals. I'd also suggest their song "Anoana", which not only had a beautiful video, but is stunning vocally as well.
my 2 favorites from them are Norupo and Anoana- you should totally give those a listen! also, the band actually takes chants and stuff from historical artifacts, like manuscripts and coins. so they do count as a historical band!
4 years ago I was at a concert of Heilung. It was also my first concert ever. When I came across her music purely by chance, I said to myself, I have to go to a Heilung concert at least once. It was mega, it felt like it was over far too quickly and I really want to go to one of their concerts again.
Amazing band Wardruna has a similar vein mostly old prayers and chants with throat singing and very indigenous drums. By these guys as some others have said Anoana ( Creation Myth official vid is beautiful ), Hamrer Hippyer if you actually do WANT to go to battle. Wardruna BTW did some music for the hit series Vikings. That being said , this is as close as we can possibly come to what our ancestors were doing around the Bonfire or in Temples/Meeting places way back when. These guy's actually did the research into several old dialects.
If you haven't seen them live, you really need to! It is such an amazing experience to witness their ceremonies. I saw them once at Red Rocks and it was pure magic.
Searching for "Faster, Harder, Louder" European Death Metalheads landed here. Heilung is one of the pagan metal bands releasing on metal labels and also performing at metal festivals. They call it Nordic Ritual Folk. With the feeling that this is a Death Metal band, you weren't wrong. They need forever for the sound check to get things like the bones to sound. Another well-known band: Wardruna - Fehu (First Flight of the White Raven Live Version)
Now that you’ve got a taste of Heilung and earlier also Aurora, I’d love to see you react to Wardruna, especially their performance with Aurora: Wardruna and Aurora - Helvegen (LIVE).
I would have loved to be at that concert. All of their music is so unique and good. After you find out what they are singing about and go back and watch it, it makes it that much better.
Her clothes are mostly replica of a buried bronze age woman clothes found near the village EGTVED in Denmark.....look up EGTVED PIGEN (EGTVED GIRL/WOMAN)
Hey John. I found your channel off a recommendation when you 1st discovered the amazing BAND-MAID. Been following since. If you are opening the gates wide open like this I have some insanely good international bands I think you'll get a real kick out of. Different, from street performance to full blown orchestra with native Norse percussion and lead strings. Just examples. No crap, Honest. You'll be blown away. Comment if you want me to shoot a few to you. P.S. this rocked. I think the singer sings solo too and with other bands if Im not mistaken. Real sorry her name slips my mind right now.
If you ever get the chance to see them live, do it. Its a whole experience. The way yhe crowd interacted with them, I've never experienced anything like it before. Highly recommend it.
Earlier this year, I had the pleasure of witnessing a live performance by Heilung. Their music is nothing short of phenomenal. With its intricate compositions, it demands a high caliber of artistry to be executed flawlessly in a live setting - a feat that Heilung achieves with remarkable skill. This is further complemented by their sound engineers, who, from behind the mixing panel, masterfully balance and sculpt the auditory landscape, ensuring every note is conveyed to the audience with maximum impact. The concert was an unparalleled display of auditory and performative excellence; it remains the most impressive live show I have ever attended, both visually and acoustically.
I've watched a bunch of reactions to Heiling and the biggest consistency I see is everyone gets into at least a slight trance at some point when they listen to them.
You should also check THE HU. (Wolf Tottem or Yuve Yuve Yu) It's Mongolian rock band and they are using the classical Mongolian Throath singing technics which is so amazing combination!! Check them, you want regret it!!! It's an experience !!
This group took the direction of being storytellers. I believe at this point in the performance (this is a freaking long concert) the Nordic/Old High German people who are living in this time are discussing the virtues of war, of defense vs attack and a cycle of violence and contradiction to peaceful life. The growling voices are the Corruption. Think of is as a dark god, but I think it's just the corruption of the heart by fear and hate. If you listen to all of the songs on the album in a row and read translations, it makes a heck of a lot more sense. I don't think everybody really is going to do that and I have probably devoted way more time to this than I should have. The final song will absolutely blow your sock hat off, man. Hamrer Hipyer. It is the heat of battle. There's more to it that would be spoilers, but this is the like... flowy middle of the concert.
Saw them in NYC a few years back. Really impressive live show for sure. The video doesn't capture the smells of the burning sage and such, the atmosphere is so immersive when they go on.
So glad you're loving Heilung! Definitely something incredibly special about that band - Maria, Kai and Chris are amazing. If you like this one, I suggest to you to listen to 'Asja' (It's a tool for Shamans, at least here in Siberia) and 'Hamrer Hippyer'. I think you'll really enjoy.
There used used to be a meme saying, "When you see it, you'll shit bricks". Whenever I watch a reaction to this song I wait for the "Are those real bones?!?" I'm rarely disapointed.
Fun trivia fact: One of their songs is used for the trailer for Hellblade 2: Senuas's Sacrifice. Even more, the guy who does the super metal sounding throat singing worked with the woman who voices and motion captures Senua so in the trailer you can hear both his vocals and hers. It's insane and so amazing
From what I have gathered from other comments in regards to the "monologue" or battle rap, that's flyting, a norse way to bloodless conflict. It's indeed rap, insults get thrown at one another to clear conflicts. And I love the rap. "Beloved brother enemy, I sing my sword song for you, the lullaby of obliteration so I can wake up with a smile and bliss in my heart".
If you'll ever have the chance to visit one of their live performances, do it! Their performances are outstanding and they really get the people going! I've already seen them 3 times and it has always been an amazing experience. The way they move the crowd, everybody's chanting, clapping and dancing along ... I even saw some people being in some kind of trance. It's breathtaking.
I went to the ritual in Minnesota last year, and the whole performance just touched a deep primal, ancestral spot in my soul (which made my heathen heart so happy)
I love the fact that this is a band that drops a massive honor to their ancient heritage speaking in suuuuper old germanic and then adding the dialogue of the two voices in himself is amazing!!! this seriously looks like a show that is wild but should be looked into with respect regardless of how different it is. Loving it!
I am glad that you give this extremely exceptional Nordic group a chance. I tell you a little about its history. The group, which are two boys and one girl, have Norwegian, Danish and German nationality and uses instruments such as horns of different animals, drums, human bones, rattles with human ashes, bells, stones, all to go back to the first musical compositions that They were able to interpret 1,000 years ago, in the iron age in northern Europe. All the letters are taken from carved gadgets from the era of the Nordic iron, such as arrowheads, bows, swords, rune stones and recite poems and psalms of war, peace and protection. Whereupon and for this, heilung, which means healing in German, is in close collaboration with archaeologists specializing in the field. The languages used by heilung are several. Among them are Latin, Old Danish, German and English. They were so successful with their first album that they had to release a new live album, which includes 2 new songs. Also a video of that album live and this year they released their second work, futha, which is a much more feminine work. His first album, Ofnir, is much more aggressive and masculine. During the concerts some representations of how these ancient rituals of the iron age could be made. Also just finished the soundtrack of the video game Hellblade 2. The languages used are english and runic ¿Old danis? The texts of the song have been extracted from the Eggia stone. Eggja's stone (also known as Eggum's or Eggjum's stone) This is a large flat stone with runic inscriptions that covered a tomb dating from the period between 650 and 700 and that was discovered while plowing a field in 1917 at Eggja farm in Sogn og Fjordane, Norway. When it was found, the inscription was on the underside of the slab covering a man's grave, so that it could not be read from the outside (like the Kylver stone). The stone is currently in the Bergen museum. It has about 200 runes, making it the longest inscription engraved with letters of the ancient futhark alphabet, although some runes have a transitional form to the young futhark. The lyrics says the following following the interpretation of the archaeologists who have studied it: The home fades. Vil launched a deadly horde upon them. The oars and mast were destroyed. Who brought? Who brought the horde to this distant land? The fishes of the streams of Firnoy. They swim adrift. From the land of bright meadows. Who brought? Who brought the horde to this distant land? A hug.
This was where it all started for me. I had never heard of anything like this. The entire performance is stellar along with pretty much all their other songs. From there it went into Wardruna and Skald and so on and so on. Outside of everything Heilung, I highly recommend Voluspo by the singer of Wardruna and an orchestra. Powerful performance. Also, Heilung on shroomies is otherworldly.

That interview is great! Maria Franz is another person offstage, and it's great to see her and Elizabeth geek out over tea and swords.
@@bjornh4664 Last night I saw teaser Short, and maybe you did as well, withe Elizabeth and Nik Nocturnal getting togethering for a collab on a Nightwish song.
I did and saw the full video just recently
God I love Maria so much. She has this super intimidating and powerful presence on stage but then in the interview she's super happy and friendly lol. She's amazing, incredible voice.
Oh she did? I didn't know. Need to check it out then.
Out of body experience is about the only way to describe their live rituals. The cool part is is stays with you, and every time you hear it after, you're transported to that same time and place.
You describe their live rituals as i felt it. - and yeah, transported to the same time and place.
Hi from Norway 🙂
Dane here. I have seen them live 4 times in the recent years. It is an awesome trancendal experience. Thetones and voices goes through bone and morrow. It is cathartic AF..... Not at all unusual to see pll in the crowds just mesmerized with tears running down their cheeks....
I'm unafraid and unashamed to say I was one of those people in San Francisco last year at my first show
there's something primal about it all.
Alfadhirhaiti
Othan
Hamrer hippyer.
@@Hybridancer the left male singer and Maria Franz (they are a couple) were/are already in the band called Euzen so they have stage experience.
@@palantir135 Songleikr as well. Ulvetime by Songleikr is amazing
@@SwedishEmpire1700not how this works.
@@SwedishEmpire1700it wouldn’t work. The lyrics are actually about peace in a way.
They are like a musical, spiritual awakening!
I'm a BTS ARMY and started watching you because of that but I'm also a big Heilung fan, I've seen them live twice, the last two times they came to Chicago. They are so amazing! Their shows are out of this world. So glad you're checking them out!
Her voice is celestial. My favorite female singer!
Glad you like my culture ❤️
Ohhhh you saw them in Chicago!! I bet that was amazing! I’m for sure going to check more of them out!
Never thought I'd see another ARMY/Heilung fan lol. I'd also highly recommend Anoana.
@@devilsjam2969 haha we have range!! 😂
So many layers of instruments and ambient sounds, just like a symphonic orchestra. I love this stuff
This is amazing. RUclips algorithm did a good. That's rare.
I've been following Heilung for a while. They are AMAZING. And this video popped up on my algorithm. Never saw a reaction to Heilung until now.
Dude... they're fucking phenomenal!
And believe it or not...that was their FIRST live show together as Heilung.
Also, if you have not yet seen this band The Hu.... A must see. Their guitar alone will have you in envy. They did a remake of one of their songs. Look up The HU - Wolf Totem feat. Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach. If you have not already.
I was lucky to see them in Melbourne Australia earlier this year and it was so magical, more like watching a ritual than a concert
All the furs, bones, skulls, even the instruments are genuine deer skin drums. Heilung take it to the next level when it comes to authenticity.
I feel that you have to have the full on experience of Heilung live in concert to get it. It will rewire your brain- in a good way.
In Maidjan from the same live will blow your head clean off lmao. They are amazing and i wish they'll come soon in my country.
Deeply spiritual to the core, so genuine, as if back in those times for good. Miles ahead of so many in their artistic expression!
This is an amazing group. Pagan Music AT ITS BEST! - Alfadhirhaiti and Anoana are my personal favorites, a must see if you liked this!
Great reaction. You caught some stuff most reactors don't realize, or at least not as quickly as you did.
Yes, those are real human bones she's playing.
I'd also suggest their song "Anoana", which not only had a beautiful video, but is stunning vocally as well.
a wrenching song/chant about war and bloodlust.... scattered languages, ancient and modern... I can imagine seeing it in person is quite an experience
my 2 favorites from them are Norupo and Anoana- you should totally give those a listen! also, the band actually takes chants and stuff from historical artifacts, like manuscripts and coins. so they do count as a historical band!
Drums? My brother in Christ he is using a shield. Spectacular reaction.
4 years ago I was at a concert of Heilung. It was also my first concert ever. When I came across her music purely by chance, I said to myself, I have to go to a Heilung concert at least once. It was mega, it felt like it was over far too quickly and I really want to go to one of their concerts again.
Can't wait to see them again this October. The live show is an otherworldly experience.
When people say, “I like their early stuff.” This is what they are talking about…
WOW! New fan here! Love tribal music💕🎶💕 Thanks
Ty glad you like my culture you should also learn about indo eroupeans culture
Such beautiful music!
2:55 those are real human bones. They had issues while touring with local authorities.
Another well-known band:
Wardruna - Fehu (First Flight of the White Raven Live Version)
The bones that Maria is using the human Radius and Ulna bones.
The whole Lifa show back in 2017 is awesome. It was their first time together on stage in front of an audience.
Her clothes are mostly replica of a buried bronze age woman clothes found near the village EGTVED in Denmark.....look up EGTVED PIGEN (EGTVED GIRL/WOMAN)
the old ways live..the tribes live..feel this in your bones.
Oh heck yes!! I am for sure always down to hear amazing new music!! And thank you for being a part of this community!!
This is a song about fucking around and then finding out... basically.
If you ever get the chance to see them live, do it. Its a whole experience. The way yhe crowd interacted with them, I've never experienced anything like it before. Highly recommend it.
Amazing sound! ❤ The live and songs all tie in... just awesome!
One of the best reaction vids I’ve seen. 👍
On your own time, you should watch the whole "Lifa" concert ... the entire thing is incredible
That FF background vibe damn... ^^
Love Heilung (:
Anoana is also pretty cool.
I went to the ritual in Minnesota last year, and the whole performance just touched a deep primal, ancestral spot in my soul (which made my heathen heart so happy)
have heard them live and they are GREAT!. best i have seen live..
You don't listen to Heilung. You experience it!
See them live. The event is always soul purifying. A ritual
Love your reaction! Thank you ❤
I love the fact that this is a band that drops a massive honor to their ancient heritage speaking in suuuuper old germanic and then adding the dialogue of the two voices in himself is amazing!!! this seriously looks like a show that is wild but should be looked into with respect regardless of how different it is. Loving it!
Their music is Truely healing.🙏
I can't fracking wait to watch them live ....
The lyrics says the following following the interpretation of the archaeologists who have studied it:
The home fades.
A hug.
My absolute favorite. Please also check out Warduna
Maria's a really sweet and awesome humen love the interviews I've seen her in.
Heilung, a fantastic concert in Ljubljana in 2022. It's worth seeing them live
If you liked this listen to their song In Maijan, it is spectacular and Maria kills it!
First time here! recommended one of my fav Heilung is great, hope you check Maidjan sometime. Marias voice is superb.
