Use a rubberized base coast like orly. I was skeptical as I chip my nails in 5 minutes everytime. With the orly base coat I actually had to remove the nail Polish because of nail growth...... No chips. And I haven't even considered getting the top coat

Also, I'm super excited to do this-- I love galaxy designs and this looks fun :) I already did the two base coats of dark blue and will be trying one or two nails tonight to start out. I don't have time to do all of them but I figured I could at least begin with a highlight nail.

It was really easy for me and I love it. It looks so cool and already people ask me where I got it done and when I tell them I did it myself they don't believe me LOL I think what was easier to get it right is, for me anyway, I don't use a makeup sponge because they just don't work well for me. What I use is a sponge that you use for gel polish (when you wipe the foundation before you apply the gel nail polish). I bought them on Amazon. They're IBD lint free nail wipes. they're like $7 for 80 sponges. I just cut them in little pieces and use the tweezers just like in this video. The tweezers are really important, they help you have better control especially when you using your least dominant hand. I actually have the galaxy nails on right now, but I can't wait to try this with different colors since, obviously, there are many galaxies in space with a variety of different colors. 😄
These are so pretty! I tried colorful holographic galaxy nails and they just looked like sparkly smoosh nails...good thing they were a background for stamping haha

Do you need to wait for it to dry each time? I've never really painted my nails, last time was like 5 years ago, lol, when I was little I got messy. But I'm more of a tomboy, I usually don't like painting nails, dresses, makeup, ect, but I decided it's time to be a little more girlish and these are so beautiful. Been practicing lately on the whole nail painting thing trying to stay on the nail and such.
Hi! Let the base colour dry before sponging on the galaxy design. But you don't have to wait for each sponged layer to dry before adding the next layer. Also let the glitter polish dry before applying top coat. Hope that helps and thanks for watching! 😄
