The main reason for Revenge's higher rating is obviously "the immolation scene" where Anakin catches fire on the side of the river of lava after having his legs cut off... It's a pretty graphic scene but it's entirely necessary to show how he underwent the physical transformation into Vader and why he needed the suit etc.

Grievous had a death that is not talked about enough, his organs were ablaze as the fire spread throughout his mechanical body until his brain and eyes exploded, and he could have very well been taken into custody as he was mostly defenceless after a few shots but Obi-Wan continued to fire directly into his organs, one of the only places where he could actually feel pain. I imagine if the rebels DID eat the imperial stormtroopers, they didn’t do so knowingly, and Ewoks probably didn’t find it necessary to tell them either as I imagine eating your enemies after a victorious battle is common tradition among Ewoks, and I suspect that they assume the same for most species.

Out of all the deaths in star Canon and legends Chewbacca was the most bad ass. His death on a planet saving Hans son while Han was knocked out on the falcon. A moon crashing onto the planet he helped evacuate his last breaths was him looking at the moon growling his defiance before it collided. It actually made me tear up and cry. I mean a mid 30s man crying over a star wars character. But I'd been around since the beginning and chewie was always my favorite character. I mean he was so bad ass that they decided only a planetary event like that was honorable enough for him. No blasters lightsaber vehicle explosions nope. Let's just drop a planet on him lol.

I felt the same way. There is a interview with R.A. Salvatore about his time writing Vector Prime. One of the plot points that was required in the story was a major character death, specifically Luke Skywalker. After some debate, the Lucas team felt that would anger far too many readers so they let Salvatore choose. At least he let Chewy leave the story in a very unique way. I mean, how many characters have died by getting HIT by a planetary body?
