    i sat on in a dealer,move it a little, forward and back,ieft,right,and right away i felt the weight and also what many call, top heavyness.i did the same on a transalp,and it felt lighter.....

    Mine was just under 200KG, however it had less than half a tank fuel.
    I wish people would stop comparing a 2 cylinder 700cc ADV bike to 450 enduros.
    Yes it's heavy, but still the lightest in its class.

      IT might be mid range weight but still heavy. I went to the dealership today and next to my 130 kilos bike this is like moving a dead horse jajajajja. If yamaha made the same bike with 450cc or 500cc around 150 kilos they can have my money, my house and my soul. I loved it but is too much for me. Olso is too tall for my likeing.

      @dantelossantos7562
      If you want a 450 get a KLX450R, that's only about 130kg, it will be crap to ride on the road for any distance though.
      The tenere 700 is a compromise, it can do a bit of everything.

      @@JohnSmith-ef8nr Thanks i like it but is not good to travel long roads and is what i want. Is better the CRF 300 Rally or the himalayan 450. Than is what probably i am going to end up getting. Sadly in spain there is no KLX450R anyways, they can be found second hand in Wallapop and that's it. Still the KLX450R looks like a good bike to mod.

      I have a KLX450R but I've never used it since I got the T7 2 years ago.
      I do more road rideing than off road, I do wish the T7 was lighter but I haven't found a better ADV twin that's as reliable and low maintenance.
      The T7 also sounds awesome with a aftermarket exhaust.

    222kg sounds about right. Surprised it’s not a smidge more with tools etc.

    You forgot the main stand, which is not mounted normally. It also weighs about 4 kg. My Abonnent has....you now..... I have also ordered the T7, but the 2023 model with TFT. Greetings Michael

      True! The oem center stand is really heavy 😄 but its really useful when traveling.
      Have no doubt you will enjoy the T7! It’s a beast of a bike 🥰

      @@PatchedBandit I had already tried the T7 in Germany 2019 where it just came out it will yes also a second motorcycle to my Kawasaki ZZR 1400. For me there is no alternative to the T7, in terms of performance, price and durability.

      @@MichaelD1008 T7 is definitely on a class of its own. Aprilia 660 specs are great but Yamaha deinitely wins on the dealer network.

      Yes. Still a heavy beast even though people keep calling this a middleweight 😅
      Not a dualsport by any means 🙂
      My luggage for 6month trip that I’m on now weighs in at 18kg total. So not a lot.

      @@PatchedBandit So clocking in at 240KG.. Too much for me when solo riding I think, as much as I love the T7! If that was a WR250R that weight would be around 158KG fully loaded - 92KG difference 😮 I can see why people go with the little 250's now lol

    • @nipponiii
      @nipponiii 2 года назад +1

      I came up with a criteria for a true adventure bike for me, that is I have to be able to lift it up so that both wheels don't touch the ground. If I can do that then I'm very confident I'll manage to get out of trouble whatever comes into way.
      My 690R with rally tower, crash bars and extra light just barely got pass this test!😅 So no need to look for any heavier bike not atleast before going to the gym 🙂

    • @PatchedBandit
      @PatchedBandit  2 года назад

      @@nipponiii Good criteria. Im riding tenere now across europe and Im not in perfect health. That does put excess stress on the journey as the bike is so heavy loaded up that it could be tough to get up in some situations.
      Im already daydreaming about a bike that is 50kg lighter :)

    Ony 40 lbs less than my GSA, Ha!

    • @PatchedBandit
      @PatchedBandit  Год назад

      Yes but consider that this is trail ready. All the tools I need to swap tires or do almost anything with the bike. Also one thick 21” inner tube and small first aid kit. Also crash bars.
      After you equip the gsa its not the weight on the specs 😄
