I think so too. Had my doubts but looks like they are very nice ✌️

Thanks for the review, I was worried they would scratch the frame but your video showed no damage. Thanks again for taking the time!

My Acerbis stuff arrived just yesterday 😍 I hope it'll protect after I've done 17 Tkm already without. Luckily it doesn't weight too much 💙💛🏁🤛🏼

At least these plastic protectors weigh practically nothing 🙂

Seems they do what they're supposed to do. Good video! Günter/Nürnberg

Yes! They do seem to work well. I might do a 20 000km update on this next year :)

@@PatchedBandit I'm sure you haven't taken them off in the meantime ;-) And besides, why should you? The frame looked perfect after the first inspection.

Very interesting, i put on these before winter now i worked on bike an i realized those rubbers are cracked and some also snapped. I didn’t ride during winter the bike is waiting for first service. I have to zip tie them. I think they are nice but my rubber was not goods maybe

    • @PatchedBandit

Interesting! The rubbers are probably quite expendable and this is why they usually send extras. I think they are easy to replace by some other generic ones too.

same, one of mine fell off on the highway... i went pick it up and zip tied them on. all of the rubber bands were dry rotted. no problems since i zip tied them though!

zip tie them on! rubber bands they come with dry rot pretty quickly.

On my T7 the rubbers have lasted for the last 15000km but on my Honda CRF they brake all the time. Maybe there are some guality variation on them.
      Ziptie works too :)

@@PatchedBandit no telling, if the zip ties start breaking i'll just drill out the frame :)

I dont have them but the part of the frame which is protected by them does not seem to be subject to abrasion from mx boots anyway. In my case it is the lower grey metal part supporting the footrest which rubs and has paint damage.. do acerbis protectors cover that area?

    • @PatchedBandit
      @PatchedBandit  2 года назад

These ones come all the way to almost touch the footpegs so yes. But not sure I understood your question correctly 🙂
Area covered by the protector is pretty well shown on the video before I take them off ☺️

Better than nothing! Also I have GBRacing engine and water pump covers for my Tenere and I've seen what they can prevent on IDM bikes... Those things make the difference between towing and riding home on your own.

I bet. Falling on some rocky sections is always a scare :D

no scratches... but other frame parts in your bike dont have any scratches either lol

Boots shave these frame sections after first 1000km if you dont have plastic protecting it.
