Secret To A Perfect Honda NX500: Is €10,000 Enough? #1

Warm welcome to my winter build series for the NEW Honda NX500! This is going to be controversial some people saying I'm crazy for burning all this money to a bike that is pretty mellow as an 'offroader' BUT.. I say trying to get everything out of an underdog bike has already been so much fun with the CRF300L let's do it anyway 😄✌️ Plan is to make this the perfect Off-Road oriented travel compa...

Welcome to my Quick Ride of the Honda NX500. Successor to the already popular CB500X mode. I was pleasantly surprised about the feel of the bike and I suspect there might even be a pretty seruous adventurebike hidden in this package. DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro vs 4: Truth Behind the Hype

In this video, I compare the newly released DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro with its predecessor, the DJI Osmo Action 4. While the Action 5 Pro has been hyped as a major upgrade, I found some key issues with its image processing and performance that don’t quite live up to the marketing claims. If you’re considering upgrading, watch this video first to see if the changes are really worth it! Don’t get cau...

I used the old microphone as it doesn't have any float adjusting or other whichcraft to change the sound profile according to the soud pressure. I thought it would be fun to post this as a Quick Ride even though this differs a bit from my normal episodes. The bike definitely deserves it's own video so here we go. My experience with this engine is that they loosen up (around 1500km) and feel a lot more energetic and easy revving. Not any faster, but a whole lot quicker. The terrier description - exactly.

    Curious about your opinion since you're familiar with both the Kove 450 Rally Standard and the KTM 690 Enduro R. I own a 2018 KTM 690 Enduro R setup as rally bike; with Rade Garage fairing. On paper I am concerned the weigh and height of the two bikes are too similar. I am looking for something that rides like a KTM 690....more stable on and off-road....bu is more in light with KTM 500 EXC-F weight. I am also considering looking at something like the Beta 390 RS. Thanks.

    • @PatchedBandit
      @PatchedBandit 3 дня назад

      690 and this Kove are very similar in some aspects but very different in others. Benefits on the Kove compared directly to the ktm 690 in my opinion is that the bike carries its weight lower on the frame probably mainly because of those low slung front fuel tanks. So the bike definitely feels lighter even though it is not that on paper. Also because the engine size is smaller the rotational mass of the engine is lower. This makes the Kove turn and feel a lot more like an enduro bike compared to sluggish 690 (just my opinion though so ride and see yourself). What comes to power the Kove can't hang with the 690. 690 engine will feel more robust at all rpm's and it will win a dragrace with this bike with ease. This doesn't make the Kove a s low bike in my opinion but I know riders that prefer the 690 because Kove doesn't feel as exciting to ride. This can most likely be said comparing Kove to the 500 series enduro bikes with massive amount of power in that weight class. Suspension on the Kove might even be better than 690 but that might come down to personal preference at the end. Both are sufficient for most riders. Also IF you are limited in height like me at 174cm the Kove is much easier to handle even though both bikes have a high seat height. Kove is a bit more narrow and the low center of gravity makes the bike much easier to handle in tricky terrain for a short rider especially. I hope this helps a bit. But definitely try and get a ride in before ordering the Kove. You might be disappointed if you dont.

    I've yet to see a Y.T. video reference the Bernoulli Equation, which describes the relationship between pressure, velocity and volume going through an orifice, such as a carburetor venturi. Regarding intake and exhaust pipes, longer pipes before a header collector improve low-rpm torque; shorter pipes yield more high-rpm power ... due to 'scavaging' the exhaust ports' vacuum pulses after firing. When folks remove this factory tuning, I've NEVER heard one admit to REDUCED low-rpm torque ... which may (probably?) explain the impaired results that your fine testing experienced. What little high-rpm power benefit may have been offset by reduced low-rpm torque.

    • @PatchedBandit
      @PatchedBandit 4 дня назад

      Very possible! I felt the need to do this quick comparsion as I came across so many videos and posts online of people mutilating and drilling holes to their airboxes without doing anything else to the bike or fueling of the bike. They are just ruining the bike at that point and it needs to stop 😄

      @@discoveror9576 With one caveat I agree. Engineers are restricted by the heavy regulation though and this is exactly why this CRF300 can be succesfully tuned with a bit of effort and money. Shaved 5 seconds off my 30 to 120kmh time with the stage 1 tune from 550 performance. Highly recommend that tune BUT it is ofcourse going to also get rid of every single emission restriction on the bike... some people hate this and I do get it.. ruclips.net/video/0Dh0g1QIY7A/видео.html

If you want to have actual power not just sound this is the way to go. Without ECU tune these emission restricted bikes are not going to perform any better with any amount of airbox modification.

We do want to take some detours along the TET so we think its gonna be 7-8 days ride for only the TET. We want to get some TET sweden aswell but i am afraid that we have to shorten our time in Norway and i do want to see the Fjords aswell. So i am wondering if you really did those 1200km is 6 days? Thanks :)

      The full southern TET Norway is over 2000 km and yes its doable in this 6-7 day period I was there. In the film I didn't show everything and I didn't take rest days so I managed to do it under a week. But you might want to take a bit more time if you want to take detours and see everything. 946 km - TET_N-01-Øyermoen-Blåhø_20240807 633 km - TET_N-02-Blåhø-Støa_20240807 486 km - TET_N-04-Alvdal-Røros-Alvdal_20240807 Total: 2065 km. I would recommend a minimum of 7 days.
