    Please note that the European Union is not a country. Other than that: Thank you for the update and a happy and blessed new year!

      Hey John. Thanks, may you also have a prosperous new year! :) Jah sorry I meant to refer to the European economy as a whole, not Europe as a country haha

    I appreciate your good work of sharing and happy new year. I want to invest or save for my one-year little one for education, any recommendations from you on how to tackle this project.

      Hey Charles. Thank you, happy new year to you as well. It's great that you are thinking so far ahead for your little one! 18 years of compound interest will become very powerful! Seeing that this is a long term investment, I would personally invest in equities in the form of a well diversified global ETF like the Coreshares Total World on EasyEquities, but it really depends on your risk tolerance as well, because it will go up and down in the short term. If younare looking for a more predictable stable return, then the Retail Savings bonds currently attract really decent interest rates :)

    Thanks for sharing Pieter! In your last update, you mentioned you signed up with 10x and were to reveal the portfolio you selected in this video. Which one did you go for?

    Hi Mark, would be lovely and helpful to the average investor if you can make a video on how to file for taxes with SAR since we are approaching the tax season. Thank you in advance and I hope you will consider this.

    Great video, thanks Pieter. Would you say that it's better to have most (60 -70%) of your portfolio made up of ETFs rather than individual shares, or the other way around?

    • @MoneyMarx
      @MoneyMarx  Год назад +1

      Hey Theodore. Thanks man! I prefer to have around 70% of my portfolio invested in well diversified ETFs & Unit Trusts and then use the other 30% for more speculative investments. Diversification is extremely important with long term investments, so I prefer to be as much diversified as possible across different asset classes.

    Hey Pieter, could you do a separate video on Fedgroup - not sure if you've done this already. I'm in to it through their impact farming offering (its almost like a fixed deposit but with tax benefits) and it makes me feel like I'm helping people while earning interest. I also noticed you had your TFSA with Easy equities where i had mine as well, however i recently discovered that you can do a TFSA with Fedgroup earning a guaranteed 10% with no fees - seems like a no brainer vs what i had with EE where i had to pay fees and yield less return. Also Happy new year, really enjoying the vids !!!

      Hey Bryce. Thanks man, I appreciate the support! There are quite a lot of people who asked me about FedGroup's offering, but I haven't tested it out myself yet. But I will add it to my list of video ideas and do some research to see the pros and cons of investing with them :)
