If an NES game had this music and I had played it as a child... it may have given me nightmares or seizures. But seriously, these are awesome and enjoyable. Makes me listen to TMV in a much different way. Keep up the good work!
@pdaigletuttle I'd love to see someone at least make a demo/single level of an 8/16-bit mars volta game, they would be more than welcome to use my tracks
That's pretty damn great, although I'm disappointed that the vocals are missing at the end. Oh well. I can finally hear Flea's improvisation after his solo; it's too faint for me to pick up normally... unless you improvised it yourself and it's not exactly what's on the recording, which would be fine.
Wow that song is even sicker than your cassandra gemini, simply because it is my favourite Mars Volta song. You're going to be the president of Korea!!!!!
Yo this shit is vicious but there are some parts of the melody that you got wrong. For example, "knife me in, hobblin", is a 4th down from where you started it. Listen to the song again and you'll get what I'm sayin. I know I'm a dick, but I don't care.
The complexity of cassandra gemini and tetragrammaton compared to the take the veil cerpin taxt. Either way this is one of my favourite songs
this one is my favourite mars volta 8bit cover. feels like the theme song when you fight the bosses in megaman :D
This is a dope cover, probly the best 8-bit TMV I've heard. Can you imagine this as the music to a Castlevania title in a parallel dimension?

Would've been great boss battle music in a Metroid game!
...or the Robocop theme.
Goosebumps
Awesome, this song kicks ass!!
man this is really great. and you really paid attention to detail!! :D!!
This could be a awesome first stage of a SNES game!
That was wicked, man.
Good Nintendo... red faction guerilla like
god that soundtrack was so perfect for the game
@shaolinkungfu666 You are more than welcome to :) The MP3 is up there to grab, let me know if you decide to use it :)

@from93till I love it when music does that to me :)
I'm glad mine has done it someone else.
@silversobe Yea they are
@lemonkid44 I noticed that too.
if this were in an NES game, this would definitely be a boss theme
You should do Cicatriz ESP and Drunkship of Lanterns so you've got De-Loused entirely 8-Bit! :D
This is awesome! How long didi it take?
sounds like an rpg boss battle
