From "Prisoner of Her Past" to "For the Left Hand"

"Prisoner of Her Past," an intimate journey that follows a Chicago journalist as he tries to piece together what happened to his mother during the Holocaust, has a special broadcast at 3 p.m. CT on Sunday, May 1 on WTTW in honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day.
The 2010 documentary was the first time Gordon Quinn and Howard Reich worked together. The duo's latest collaboration, "For the Left Hand," tells the story of left-handed pianist Norman Malone as he gets the chance to accomplish his dream of playing with an orchestra at age 78.
"For the Left Hand" outreach coordinator Stephanie Sunata recently had a conversation with Howard and Gordon. They shared insights and experiences from the making of each film and discussed many other topics including the importance of music/arts, trauma, and current world events.
