I decided to skip the M1 and M2 iPad Pro and finally got the 13” 2TB M4 model. I love it! The difference in the screen is immediately noticeable, and opening apps is significantly faster. It was tough to skip those previous generations, so I treated myself for the wait. Even playing SimCity is a much better experience-it runs cooler and smoother.

Wow you went all in on the biggest, baddest version! Yeah if you'd not used the M1/M2 that's a heck of an upgrade. Glad you're enjoying it and I love hearing from users what they make of it. 👍🏻

I upgraded from a 2015 9.7 iPad Pro to a new 13in M4 and it’s obviously a pretty significant upgrade for me. Do I need an M4 pro? No, but I was going to upgrade no matter what this year and I’m loving the extra screen real estate and the OLED is incredible compared to what I had. I use it everyday as my main personal computer (have a work pc). I do wish they would put out an Xcode app, and maybe a bigger update to iPadOS at WWDC would have been nice, but overall, I’m still happy and looking forward to Apple Intelligence. Great video; thanks!

Coming from an old iPad 7 to iPad Pro the change has been pretty good so far because it allows me to do things I wasn’t able to before ( separating audio in my dj software, faster processing in general, gaming etc.) since my old iPad could only go up to iOS 15 there were a lot of limitations. though I don’t think it was worth the 1k cost for the ram and internal storage that apple gives. I wanted to have the most future proof device I could get my hands on since I don’t plan to get another one for another 5+ years. Can’t say I notice the difference in screen quality over the last iPad that much I mainly watch RUclips videos on it 🤷‍♂️

It's great. A bit buggy at times though. The screen is weird and gunky though. I ll draw a straight line in procreat and hit gunk bumps sometimes and the line doesnt go straight. Not sure why that happens. Got a screen protector and that seems to fix the situation a bit better.

    I have a 12.9 2018…. Think I’m finally going to upgrade.

Yeah that seems like the right time to swap! I've heard several folks say the A series CPU in that iPad is still capable today, but moving from that to the M4 should be a huge leap in power. Plus that screen. 👌🏻
Will you be sticking with the larger 13" size when you do?

I came from the og iPad Pro from 2015 to the 2024 13 inch pro entry level. Got a dual sense. The future is saweet. Ray tracing, mesh shading and dynamic cache…. The future is long
