i will say the small addition apple could make to both it's folios and magic keyboard is a magnetic strap to help lock the pencil in place when transporting it
Buddy, as an artist, I've been complaining about Apple Pencil not working on iphone for atleast 4 years now. I keep saying it's going to be the one thing I would impulse buy a new model for. If all the iPhone 17 had next year was Pencil support, I would buy one on the spot. I would love for the day I can just jot down quick doodles on my phone, know my doogle will be saved to the cloud, and then when I get home I can pull it up on the iPad and polish it off.
I truly enjoy your videos David 👏 First iPad was the iPad 2 … and never looked back. I upgrade every two years. Currently have the 13” iPad Pro 1 tb. What an amazingly thin, light, and wonderful iPad. Screen is joy. I’m a writer and business coach. Traveled extensively. My MacBook Pro never left my office desk. iPadOS has never been an issue for me. Magic Keyboard is BEST ever. Won’t buy another MacBook. For me, the iPad Pro does it all.
Hi there, Neil - it's great to hear from you. I write nearly all my blogs on the iPad - for writers, it's a dream machine, isn't it! Now I'm invested in iPad life, I can only see myself using it more and more. Thanks for watching and commenting 🙏🏼
My favorite is the iPad Mini and I love it, but I do miss the OLED of the Pro. WOW, I just checked the pricing on the 11”. Starts at $999! That’s insane. Yeah I’ll forgo the OLED and stick with the mini.
@ agreed. I had the 11” and absolutely loved that screen, but the form factor of the mini quickly won me over. That screen is no slouch either, but it ain’t OLED for sure.
Well said, David. My 13" Pro M4 is my all-time favorite tech device I've ever owned. I've always been a fan of thin clients. My workflow is to use the iPad as a window into my cloud PCs for coding. With the M4 and a large Thunderbolt Display attached, I have no need for a Mac for work anymore. Then, there's the portability, the display, the Pencil for design and notes... this might be the perfect device. Now, if we could only get a decent files app.....
Hey David, that’s great info & you’re right about it all. Personally, I haven’t required a laptop for demanding tasks and since I don’t have a laptop 🧑🏻💻, my M4 iPad Pro 13-inch has been more than sufficient. I frequently use the cameras, so it’s been a great choice. I had the M1 model since its release and replaced it solely because of the 126GB storage capacity. However, the M1 and M2 models are still incredibly powerful. Keep up the great work.
Hi Max - great to hear from you again! It has honestly surprised me just how much I enjoy using it. Although I have to use a Mac for the editing, pretty much everything else I could do on the iPad! I love it to bits, and I'm converted!

And yeah, so far my M4iPad Pro has been working great for the level of work related things I’m using it for and I definitely love it, but at the beginning I thought I was making a huge mistake, cause I was spending rather much money into this set up, but so far no regrets thank God. You on the other hand, definitely need a laptop to compensate for the demanding work you do, so I understand what you mean. Maybe Apple as it does, might be holding the iPad Pro’s M4 true full capabilities to sort of make us consider the need for a laptop as well, just a thought. From the Sunshine STATE Miami, FL 🇺🇸 USA keep up the great work David. 👍🏻

Once again a really nice summary of the real world utility of the M4 iPad Pro. Thanks! I have both the 11 inch and the 13 inch model and I find myself using them very differently. 16 Pro Max
It's not brighter than the Iphone. 1600 nits max on m4, 2000 on the Iphone.
You are quite correct. Technically, the iPhone is 400 nits brighter, but the depth of colour from the Tandem OLED makes it appear brighter
LMAO ... the title and his videos are all Apple so why wouldn't he be happy with the iPad Pro?
err - yeah, I'm an Apple only channel, but it doesn't mean I was going to enjoy working on an iPad...
I suggest some caution when purchasing these iPad Pros because they have OLED screens, and in a few years, we might see many users complaining about burn-in.
the iPhones have OLED too, and most people haven't noticed.
While it's a valid concern for sure, I think most people who buy OLED know what they're getting into
I’ve owned OLED devices for over a decade, never had burn in
It could potentially be an issue, but the way most people use iPads, may mean it's not a problem.... fingers crossed!
Shite aspect ratio for watching content. Too much black space
Bought ipad pro 13" m4 to replace my ipad pro 11" m2 and ipad mini 6.
After 2months I realized it's stay only at the table so i sold it, bought new ipad mini 7 then a cheap android tablet with sdcard(galaxy tab s9) for aspect ratio for movies and sdcard. Never been happier on this setup.
@@xzygmvnd the galaxy tabs are far better for content viewing. I have the small s9 and the large s10 ultra.
Yeah bro you should probably go for tab s10+ then, I love the aspect ratio for onenote and reading
You want to watch content or the black space?
@@Ceghap I rarely watch stuff on the iPad it's almost all reading and pencil use for me
First 😎
Get in there!! 👊🏼
@@DavidLewisTech I have an M2 MacBook Air 13 for my main computer use, so I mainly use my M4 iPad Pro 11 inch as a tablet for content consumption, mainly RUclips and internet browsing. I prefer the much better display on the iPad and I like that I am able to watch videos in the RUclips app on the left side while simultaneously scrolling and reading the comments on the right side of the screen. For some reason, I can't do this on my Air with RUclips in the Safari browser. Keep up the good content!
My go-to apps are essentially Apple: Notes, Reminders, Calendar, Mail, Safari. I also use FaceBook, RUclips, and MS-Teams. I really wish I could use WhatsApp natively or through Safari or some other browser. No Chrome and FireFox do NOT work. Yes, It’s a 13” M4 iPad Pro with Nano-texture, 1TB.
How does Chrome and Firefox not work? It is all WebKit so Safari under the hood.. Firefox works on my iPad.. (I am genuinely curious)
@ it fails to load chats
