These are 2 stellar choices for affordable fixed blade knives by a Spanish company called Joker. The Avispa is a small 3.15 inch fixed blade that's perfect for neck or scout carry with a flat grind 14c28n steel blade and a nice looking handle. The larger Nomad is a 5 inch blade made of Bohler N695 steel, convex grind edge, and one heck of an all around camp knife. Find them here: The Avispa: am...

      Nope, that's not how it works. SD cards aren't as fast as internal memory, so sometimes loading data off of them is slower than if you had put it in the internal storage, but the size of the SD card itself won't slow the phone down. Hope that helps.

    Since making this video I've found my opinion on the APM change over the years, especially after eventually also getting the AirPods Pro 2. I recommend anyone watching this video also check out this one I did as a follow up: ruclips.net/video/0vXAcWjqEyw/видео.htmlsi=bdoJWAkQoA132Kn6 I still like the APM in certain scenarios, but their sense of value has certainly shifted vs. APP2 and others.

    Bro, u cant compare them to one of the best monitor phones. These are not even close to the soundtage, lows, mids or highs to 1990s. The only thing, thats better with Maxes are the noise canceling, and that of course, u can drive them wirelessly, but thats it. And if you were to compare them to a wired headphones, you could get sennheisers 560s for half the price and better sounding at every stage too. These are just the best at noise canceling and yes, most of non audio guys, they will like the build quality. But sure, if you have money spend and dont rly care about the quality of the sound and just want something shiny, go for it ;)

      Largely I agree with you at this point, 3 years after making this vid and especially after eventually owning the Airpods Pro 2. (I made a subsequent video about that also, that how close the APP get for half the price really changed how I felt about the APM.) And yeah, over the years I always found myself gravitating toward my other corded headphones when I could. I think the APM derive all their value from being a package deal, where you don't need a headphone amp to drive them and you can the noise cancelling etc., but certainly as a hifi headphone they're not on the same level as others at that price range. If I ever thought so, that's faded in the years owning them. Maybe I'll do another follow up video talking about this.

    Getting a scratched Canon FD 50mm 1.2 in the mail soon. Lots on the front element. Early all metal model. Lots means I wouldn't bother to think about masking off every part of the lens except the one scratch, which is what I would have considered with your problem. I appreciate the video. I'm considering buying this recorder despite hate from RUclips audio engineers, because of the simplicity, ease of use and safety features. So far I've used H1n but I might sometimes need an XLR input so was thinking "used H5 or new H4e" found H5 for like half price of H4e so it's tough decision for me atm xD You did got me curious about clipping thing though, but that's probably not the recorder clipping but the onboard mics, those have maximum pressure that can work on them, and after that you start clipping physically.

    • @Digimorphosis

    I treat the microSD the same way I treat as an external SSD. I use SSDs a lot. Very useful. The microSD serves me well, since I have a good amount of video, photo, ROMs, games etc. So these things work well on the SD card. The difference? The SD card sits nicely inside the device. The SSD i need to plug outside the device. Plus I have to carry the SSD around separately. I also have a good amount of hard drives, so i always backup regularly.

    I was honestly caught by surprise on this one, Heather feels indeed like a organic addition to the game and schools Bethesda on what a companion should look like. Heather's back story is compelling, and is well told through the logs in her terminal, by herself and unexpectedly by the way her bunker was setup. All of the furniture, the decoration, pot plants, gear, ingredients, even Cosmo. It shows how well she was raised by her family despite the hardships of the Commonwealth, it's evident that Heather's mother taught her to survive and thrive and if this wasnt the nuclear apocalypse you could even tell she had above average living conditions in comparison to other wastelanders. She's also charismatic, charming and conveys her thoughts and emotions well even after all the trauma endured. Along with an interesting character fun to be with she brings a ton of tools and practicality to the gameplay which is far ahead what the vanilla companions can do for you.

    2:14 - Oh that is just sad. Im one of those who probably are audophile but refuse to identify as one for reasons like this. If im eager to put a headphone on someones head, its not because I want to show them how my stuff is better than theirs, its because I want to share an experience with them that I know is good! Maybe its not always perceived that way but oh well. If someone tries new headphones/speakers and they start imitating sounds like a toddler, you know when they go "yeah there was a bit much of the bzzzzz brt brt tsss", you dont yell at them for not knowing what its called. You compliment them for having an ear that is good enough to identify it even though they have no clue what it is. Thats praiseworthy imo ^^

  • @kvernesdotten
    @kvernesdotten 15 дней назад

    1:27 - I dont think any gain or float in the world is going to save you from that one though, a pop filter will. The reason it pops like that on plosive sounds is because you blow air on it and it straight up records what it hears, clipping would be more akin to a failure to record it. In my experience a "fwomp" sound like this is more just the actual mic being too exposed for what you are using it for, while it clipping tends to be more of a hissing sound when doing the exact same thing. Fairly convinced the only thing that make you not have this issue with Blue mics is that they are fairly isolated on their own, the mic is pretty far down in there while Zoom mics tend to have their microphones borderline exposed because their whole thing is supposed to be sensitivity and precision. Then again, you actually have the recording so im sure you are well aware whether it clipped or not yourself. Im just saying I dont think the majority of that pop was clipping, because how much matters alot. 4:33 - Ok that one is weird, is that the auto gain doing that? Yeti mic seems to bleed a little bass so it sounds a wee bit boomy, while the Zoom is incredibly clean but sterile sounding to me.

    • @Digimorphosis
      @Digimorphosis 15 дней назад

      @@kvernesdotten that's a great explanation for me and anyone else watching and I appreciate it. And yeah to answer the one thing you said, anytime I showed clipping on the screen it was when looking at the waveform it was actually hitting the red zone zero decimal mark, whether it sounded super obvious or not. And I thought it was significant to point out because each of the times the H4E did that the Yeti did not on the exact same part, and a couple of them weren't p sounds. You make a great point that in essence by the microphones being buried within the Yeti it kind of has a pop screen built into it, and the H4E doesn't. I will definitely do more experimenting once I get a pop screen for the H4E and report back, and I appreciate you watching and commenting!

      @Digimorphosis 16 дней назад

      Yep, I do see Machine and Her on Bethesda.net here: mods.bethesda.net/en/fallout4/mod-detail/4130888 As far as Heather and Nuka World, to keep it spoiler light I'll say that initially she seemed amused by the situation and encourages you to play along to see how things play out. She draws the line at the stage in the quest line where you move the raiders into the Commonwealth, at which point there's a confrontation. So you can still do the majority of the DLC's content as usual, but if you're planning a full raider play through where you're a Warlord in Commonwealth settlements, she won't be cool with it. I loved the video, thanks for explaining everything so well. Could you help me with your experience with the following situation? I have this FIIO Q11 and the Hiby FC3 DAC dongle, both of which I connect to the PC via USB A, plugging my Edifier R1280Dbs speakers into the 3.5mm output. But the Q11 sounds much lower even with the gain high and at max volume, is this normal or could my unit be damaged? or is it necessary to activate some setting?

    • @Digimorphosis
      @Digimorphosis 23 дня назад

      @@gerardoromero9922 Hmm. I know that for a lot of home audio devices "line level" for inputs is 0.75 volts RMS, but some pro devices and other gear is 1.5 volts. Depending on your Edifier speakers and what strength signal their input is expecting, it's possible that your FC3 is outputting that and the Q11 isn't. I will do a little digging to see if I can come up with a more specific answer, but that would be my assumption. Last thought for the moment just to double check -- is your volume maxed on both the Q11 itself and the computer itself connected to? I wondered if maybe your FC3 dongle was using max PC volume but maybe the Q11 isn't.

      @@Digimorphosis Thank you so much for your reply. I tried the maximum volume in windows and it made a small positive difference, thanks for the advice. I just might not understand how the Fiio Q11 works, since it must be practically at maximum and the FC3 with 16 /30 volume steps matches the Fiio's power. Maybe the Fiio modifies the line power only when it is at maximum. Anyway, if you find any additional information I would be happy to read it. Thanks again for taking the time to reply.

      @Digimorphosis 15 дней назад

      I think if you're mainly using a tablet for note taking and watching content either will be pretty comparable. Obviously the iPad will have some extra functionality simply because you also have an iPhone and the system is set up that way, so if it were me I'd be more inclined to go iPad. The S9 will have a better screen (OLED) in terms of color vibrance and deep blacks, so that would be the main reason to consider going that way.

    You are very correct, don't let people tell you what is that you like. It's your ears and wallet try things for yourself. I'm very partial to what you said about denon, my endgame pick was Fostex TH900. Very much U shaped sound that tries to be close to what a nice 2.1 stereo offers with tight full bass response that extends all the way down.

    • @Digimorphosis
      @Digimorphosis 15 дней назад

      Cool, I'd looked at the TH900 a couple times over the years myself. Seems like there were some nice customization options for it at one time also. I'm with you there - I like detail as much as the next person but what makes or breaks the enjoyment of a headphone for me is how punchy and deep the bass goes. Like the DT 1770, I can settle for a smaller sound stage if the bass is amazing, but I struggle to enjoy a super crispy headphone that also sounds anemic or sterile.

    I’ve carried a multitool for 30+ years now. I worked at a water treatment company in the field and we would do minor repairs. I carried a Leatherman PST and Buck 112 on my belt. I primarily used the Leatherman for the flat head screwdriver. I liked it better than a Victorinox because I felt I could torque on it harder. It often saved me from having to walk back to my truck just to get a screwdriver. I’m retired now and primarily carry a Leatherman P2. I considered getting an Arc. The MagnaCut blade is nice. But I think it’s overkill for such a small blade. The only tool in the Arc toolset that I wish the P2 had would be the diamond file. It works better filing one’s nails.

    Started off with pocket knives and then progressed to Leathermans but IMO they are very bulky. I found myself rarely using the pliers so then I started carrying a Victorinox Pioneer, Climber, or Tinker. I added a Knipex Cobra for the rare occasions that I did need pliers and the combo is much lighter than a Leatherman. I now keep the Knipex in a backpack and keep the Vic on me for the weekends but for work now I carry a Civivi Mandate (like if a utility knife and a kiridashi had a baby) perfect for most of the warehouse work I do, and a smallish slip joint on my belt for cutting fruit. I keep a Leatherman Squirt PS4 at my computer should the need arise, and this has worked for me for the past 3 years.
