Still here for EXHALE - March 2024 and I'm really enjoying this slowed-down practices since I haven't been feeling well for almost 2 weeks now. Sending love & hugs to everybody who is reading this! 💖 And, as usual, unending gratitude to Adriene for making it easier for us to stay on track! 💖
Hope you are feeling better now Yes, so thankful for this community. A dear friend of mine introduced me and I am grateful. Got me reconnected with the yoga. Again, wishing you and yours the very best in life. Namaste 🙏
December 1st 2022. I can't believe how everything has changed for me since January 2014 when this video was released. Still, I'm here with you and with my yoga practice, the mat has my back, hopefully, no matter what happened to me and what the future holds for me. Im thankful for that and for you all being at my side 🙏
I love this breathing technique, it is one of my favourite ones to do. It always leaves me feeling calm, and replenished. Thank you so much Adriene for all that you do, you are my hero. See you again tomorrow, Namaste. 🙏 ❤
When you say, "As your teacher, and your friend..." you make my heart happy. Thank you for this breath practice. I remember when I first starting doing it and it seemed like 10m was a long time now, it goes by so quickly and leaves me feeling so very good!
Me too ! I am so touched by your generosity Adriene. It is like you really care about everybody watching this video. You always find the words that make me feel listened in your videos, it is amazing... thank you so much !!!
I've been dealing with anxiety for as long as I can remember. Every therapist/counselor has suggested breathing exercises, but they've never worked for me -- they'd just make me more anxious because I was more aware of my heart palpitations. But this works soooo well for me because it requires more concentration. I feel so calm and relaxed. Thank you, Adriene!
OMGosh Adrienne. I was looking though some breathing exercises for EXTREME PANIC. I figured that I had nothing to loose so I tried this practice with you. I am shocked to my core!! I seriously thought (after 23 years) that there wasn't any hope. I thought wrong!! This is by far the best breathing exercise that I've ever done. I'm still slightly panicking but I can hardly believe the relief it's given me. I will forever be grateful. THANKYOU BLESSINGS
DIAMOND LIL me too last night I had a panic attack in my sleep somehow I have no idea how bc I’m usually a calm guy, but I couldn’t breathe and throughout the next day I was worried about maybe there’s something wrong w my lungs cause I felt dehydrated , dazed like I drank but I didn’t trying this method helped me understand where I am in in my breathing cycle
Hello BREATHE friends (December 2022) ! Well, I normally LOVE alternate nostril breathing, but my completely blocked left nostril did not help this morning. But I tried not to get frustrated and tried anyway :)
Hello, I plan to do it for the first time in my life. I suffer from a blocked nostril which makes my ear hurt. I don't know if I could do it but I'll give it a try!
Thank you for the breathing techniques and I felt instant relief, following and listening to your beautiful soothing voice, this is so helpful for stress relief, feeling less anxious and a great kick start to my day. Short, calming and relaxing. Following from yesterday's session Rainbow 🌈 😊💖💖 FWFG, happiness practice and i enjoyed it again for slow wind down calm practice before sleep. Exhale day 18🎉 Thank you, Adriene, for this practice, this is going to be such a good tool to use, when life feels like it's getting a bit crazy and I need to take a few minutes out, or when my breathing is getting panicky. 💖🧘🏼♀️🙏🏻
here on day one of the December challenge, before my morning stretch! thankful to be starting off my day with you and all the lovely people joining. 🙏 namaste, y'all.
This breathing technique is honestly perfect for people that have anxiety. I get myself so worked up at times, but after following this video, I am in a more relaxed state. I would definitely recommend this to anyone regardless of if they have anxiety or not. Often times throughout the day, we forget to focus on the breath. This video helps to remind us to breathe.
First day of the December 2022 BREATHE calender. I came to the mat open minded and ready to start another month. I almost felt like I was in a class learning something new today, haha! Alternate nostril breathing can either make or break my practice depending on how bad my allergies are, but I managed just fine this morning and really enjoyed the short time spent on the mat. Good luck to everyone doing the calender this month whether you get every day or three days. The intention is there and you are taking time for you, and that is special ❤️
Day 1 completed :) 197 people were breathing with me. Yesterday I completed my first 30 days of yoga and loved it so I wanted to continue my daily practice with the playlist... The thing is, for the 30 days I chose BREATH and this playlist is BREATHE - that's a lot of breathing for the end of this year. To be honest, I needed this :)
Over 6 years late to this party, but I just have to note how comforting your voice and energy is. Thank you for generously sharing your gifts and skills. I am new to nostril breathing but it's been a very nourishing practice so far. Looking forward to checking out your other videos!
I've been following Exhale and today after finishing this one I felt like I'd like just a little more. And instead of looking for another shorter video, I just started with cat-cow, went through a few familiar vinyasas, and finished with a wide-legged forward fold because somehow it felt like that's what I needed today. I've never practiced by myself like that before! The closest has been the 30th days in the January yoga journeys, but in those Adriene's still always been there as guide to look at when needed. I love these little moments of "wow, I just did that!" that yoga gives you when you least expect it
Starting to feel the same. This past weekend I was sitting outside in the warm sun and just naturally started to do some movements that felt right. In Sphinx pose I felt the energy of new life underground just soaking up through my belly and spine and out through the crown of my head. Just beautiful ❤❤❤
Intention : breathe like I love myself This practice cured my sinusitis and saved me from painful headaches thanks to teacher Adriene for teaching me this 🙏 Happy new beginning everyone See you tomorrow beautiful souls Namaste 🙏
HOLY SHIT! I suffer from daily anxiety and tried breathing techniques before - they helped me a tiny bit BUT THIS calmed me down instantly! Thanks for sharing this technique! I will use it my whole life!
I powered through one stuffed up nostril. It was frustrating in the "I'll do my best" kinda way. But I was and am in good spirits on this Exhale Day 18 (March 2024).
i love coming back to this practice whenever I'm feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or just off/funky. it never fails to feel so cleansing energetically, physically, and mentally. today it's helped remind me of why--why i take care of myself, why i protect myself, why i go out of my comfort zone, why i love myself, why i live even through the hardest moments. it's because i am worth it, life is worth it, and i am an incredible being who deserves infinite love. a lovely practice :) thank you
I've come to realize even after my 18 years of existence I still haven't really found my breath. But then I watched the pranayama videos and I'm actually learning to find it! Thank you so much Adriene! You and your videos are helping me so much!
Breathe day 1! I’ve done this practice with my thumb and ring finger for the first time today and it felt even cooler than with the pinkie, didn’t expect that) Thank you, Adriene and YWA community❤️❤️❤️
I love Pranayama practice and whenever I am too busy or tired to do a full practice I do this one. I have to confess when I first found @Yoga with Adriene and started practicing yoga I used to struggle with this one but as Adriene says its a practice and it does get better and now I love it. Thank you Adriene from your biggest fan xx🙏🙏
Hey Yoga with Adriene friends. I have been finding myself in a very low place these last two months and massively avoiding spending anytime with myself. Relying on nonbeneficial vices and making excuses for the ego as to reasons why I can't or am not worthy enough to stop (vaping). I have watched Adriene for a long time now and have done other months with her in the past and never reached out to others on her channel. So I guess I am putting myself out there, being vulnerable in this moment, and saying all of you who are here are as worthy as I am and I will take your inspiration and commitment to yourself as a push or nudge to show up for myself over these next 30 days. It's really hard to be honest with yourself but I have reached a point where continuing to hide is making everything so much worse. So here I am, toady in this moment with you. Thank you
Exhale, March 18, 2024. Still going strong on this third month of yoga practice. Was already familiar with this breathing technique and due to feeling more chill today, was happy it was a short practice. That said, I found myself getting antsy and my mind on a bit of a chatter mode probably halfway or at the 3/4 mark. I mentally put myself on pause to ask myself why but mostly gave myself grace and gently went back to focusing on breathing. I feel surprisingly good. Relaxed and ready for whatever comes. Namaste everyone! 💙
Omigosh i was in a full blast anxiety attach .but nothing has ever really worked ...UNTIL NOW! THIS GORGEOUS LADY IS GORGEOUS ANGEL SENT FROM ABOVE! I SWEAR I LITERALLY TRIED IT FOR 3 MINUTES AND MY PANIC ATTACK IMMEDIATELY STOPPED AND EVEN MADE ME LOOPY AND DROWSY!! I LOVE LOVE THIS!! ❤💖💙💜
My day 25 of Exhale. ❤ This was really hard to do as my nose is still blocked due to the horrible cold I had last week. Did my best and had tissues on me just in case. I managed to clear my breathing and relieve some pressure in my head. Thank you!! ❤
Happy New Month Breathe yoga buddies. It's wonderful starting Breathe Day 01:12:22✅😊🫶🏾🫶🏾😌...having been recovering from COVID + chesty cough that stills lingers...glad to be here sharing this lovely inner body strengthening practice with you and all. Lovely nite rest I wish you all. Namaste🙏🏾💚💚
I've had on-and-off panic attacks (meaning they'd go into remission for sometimes months or years) for about 30 years since I was a teenager. Therapy was mostly useless. Medication helped somewhat. But I searched for this video after hearing about "alternate nostril breathing" and this video came up. It is, at least for this moment, my go-to video when I need to quickly calm down or waiting for the meds to kick in. Just your voice itself is very relaxing and I like the humor you use with the "yoga for the brain" joke.
I've been using this practice for the past year, and I absolutely love it, it has helped me so much. I get tension headaches, feel stressed and have anxiety every so often, going to school full time and working, and I am so appreciative for this practice.
wow, wow, wow. Tried this before a difficult drs appointment and got really nice effects from it. I was very relaxed and my mind felt clearer than usual. I was surprised how well it worked. I thought it might have been a fluke but tried it again today. No fluke! Thanks for all you do and make no mistake you are making a difference in the world.
I am currently living in Saudi Arabia and I am so very grateful for Your great yoga classes. I started with the 30 days and I am now doing the weight loss yoga. I love your instruction and humor. Keep up the great work.
Greetings. I've been practicing this in the morning before I start my morning flow, and after two weeks, I notice an incredible depth of clarity, an awakening, a refreshing, a lightness. Thank you, Queen.
Dear Adriene this practice was difficult for me I almost skipped it until I realized that breathing is the whole point of this 30 days of yoga let alone such a crucial point of all yoga I’ve attempted many of your challenges since I was 12 (I’m 20 now) I would do them before school yet I haven’t completed a single 30 days in a row. This month will be different. I’ve let a lot of excuses get in my way. This morning it was my stuffed left nostril that made this less than idea yet I pushed through and will continue to for the next 30 days although I continue to struggle to make yoga a daily practice I always come back to it I know once I build this habit it will change my life for the better. Thank you adriene for continuing to make videos and for being such a gentle teacher and loving friend.
Thankyou Adrienne 😊 You look so cute and funky 🥰 Even 10 years after you look more so cute 😍 So blessed to see the real life example of Yogas benefits. Lots of love ❤
I recently underwent brain surgery and was put on intolerable drugs, and as a result there are new or explosions of emotion. Anxiety and panic have been amplified. When it gets most severe I remember this breathing technique. This is such a helpful guide towards the calm down process. Takes time, and I really have to have total silence to focus. But it works. Thank you for introducing this, who knew when I began yoga that it would be forever part of me. Namaste.
I don't normally comment but I did this as part of your respect April series and it made me feel so serene. I am an extremely anxious person and afterwards I was the calmest I've been in a while! I also found it surprisingly easy. Thank you so much
Starting today/the month with the moment to myself knowing how crazy work and life will be with the holidays was a wonderful way to breath and remember at the end of the day joy is the goal not perfection ❤
december 1st, 2022 - breathe 🧘🏿♂️ i'm back on the mat. i missed the last week of november and i decided to start anew this month. to show up for myself again. the end of the semester has approached and i feel so glad to have made it. this nostril breathing practice helped to soften up my breathing and was really peaceful. also happy december to everyone ^^ may it be kind to you ♡
I was having a lot of anxiety and frustration before practicing this video. Afterwards my body, jaw, and forehead feel much more relax. My mind was really able to quiet for a bit and focus on my breathing as the main thing. I also got to see some thoughts I was having that were leading me to the anxiety and able to release them with my breathe. Thank you Adrienne. Oldie but a goodie.
Blessed Beloved Beauties! Breathe Day -1 is pleasantly calming especially to combat anxiety. This is one of my favorite breathing exercises. Best wishes everyone! Namaste and Ase! 🦋 ♥️🦋
Adriene, I had tried this exercise before but have not been practising enough. I tried again this morning because I wanted to relieve my headache. After doing it, my headache was gone!! I definitely will keep doing this. Thank you so much!
Here for December 2022! I've never commented here before but I've been following Adriene's channel for a long time, fell off a little over a year ago after my mother broke her wrist and we couldn't practice together anymore -- but I've been feeling the need to get back to it lately after some struggles with my own personal wellbeing. So, thanks to opportune timing, here I am! Super happy to be here on this journey with you all :D (As a side note, I'm coming off of a cold right now and man, this exercise got me feeling more clear than I have for a week!! So we're off to a good start, lol) 💖Ollie
I can't believe how good this works. I'm in bed pretty much 24/7 while going through a heavy treatment. At night I get these headaches and I do the alternate nostril breathing with your gentle yoga for headaches practice. It's an instant relief. I can still feel it 'in the background', but I don't have to pop pills. Thank you so much, Adriene. You rock. Your videos are a delight. Maybe you could consider making a restorative video for ill people who are bedridden? Just to learn how to stretch and keep your muscles warm when you have so little movement throughout the day. X Liz
Girl. You are the best! I have tried to start yoga so many times and everyone is either too fast or too judgey! We have been yoga-ing together for 10 days now and I'm hooked! My heels touched the ground during my downward facing dog today! Pedaling it out changed it out changed my life! much love!
I never thought once “when is it over”, I was shocked the 10 minutes had passed so quickly with the alternative nostril breathing. Thank you for the release ❤️
Hello, Adriene! I got into watching your videos together with long-distance friends in 2020 while locked down. They were a great way to stay connected with people I couldn't see in person while also managing the stress of the times and finding a way to stay active even while shut away indoors. Once lockdown ended and life became hectic again, I lost the habit of regularly practicing the yoga techniques I learned here. Recently, I made a big move to another country, got married, started a new job--lots of wonderful things but also really big things that are a lot to handle, especially all at once. For no obvious reason, I suddenly remembered your videos, came here, watched a couple of videos, ending up on this one. I wanted to just tell you that I remembered all over again how wonderful and helpful it is to connect to my body, my energy, and my breathing. I ended up crying a little bit suddenly feeling so grounded again after so long. Thank you so much for your videos! I look forward to getting back into them. Peace and love to you
So glad to read all the comments that people have been making today, December 1, 2022! I love that there are so many others out there doing this practice along with me :) I always find this breathing technique challenging because I have a deviated septum, and this is very prominent lol. Makes me appreciate how much my right nostril works overtime to make up for the left haha.
Thank you Adriene for this breathing technique. I use this technique everyday in the morning for my mental health. And I recommend everyone to use this if they are feeling stressed or if they are feeling anxiety.
I needed a soft practice that would ground me tonight and this one is perfect. It always helps me focus on my breathing and deepen it. Thank you Adriene 💜
I’ve been watching (and following along) this video for the last three days and it has really helped with my anxiety during this insane pandemic. Thank you so much for making these helpful videos. ❤️
as someone who's been dealing with asthma since the age of 3, I can only thank you for this... it's been helping me a lot to control my breath and to calm down when I feel an attack coming... I'm more aware of the rhythm of my breath now
Tried this while laying on the couch with a stuffy left nostril and it didn't go so well. Hah! This is actually pretty neat though. I can see how it would be a great, simple stress reliever and really make me focus on my breath. I've found that focusing on my breath is the only thing that quiets my thoughts during meditation. Thanks you! Namaste!
That was a bit weird starting off at 1st but similar concept to doing a nasal rinse. I had to do the beginners pinky and thumb....not quite here yet in in keeping ringer finger up right (it curled with the other 2 fingers) I noticed my breathing is getting deeper. Felt great afterwards and definitely does help just to calm you down a bit. It did help cleanse my nose a bit. Suffering from allergies and having a stuffy nose and boogies does limit the breathing especially in that nostril but it does work. Saved this to come back to foe future. A very quick and easy practise.
I am dealing with anxiety for a long period of time and it goes on and off, it did stop for some time and now in my 5 month of pregnancy got again into me, so my heart palpitations are disrupting my sleep and making me even more worried than before because I am in charge of one little life in my body, this nostril breathing helped me multiple times to calm down in the moments when I thought that panic attack that I will not be able to stop is coming… Thank you for doing all this, thank you for being our light in the moments of complete body interruptions and moments when we think that we cant do anything except to run to the ER
And exactly 2 Years later after your comment, I found this video looking after the definition ayurveda, then yogic breathing and here I am and I will practice this to help me to calm down with all the nervous, frightening and uncertainty time that many of us are seeing and living.
Hi Adriene, this is not the first time I have practised this, but I used it just now, because I've had a headache all day and .... hey presto! it's gone!! So, dear Adriene, it worked.... again. Thanks so much! Love from Gina
Yoga has always seemed so intimidating. But this simple breathing exercise provided instant relief for my stress, anxiety and the constant tightness in my chest. It really is quite amazing. Excited to follow more of your videos.
Love this technique! It's been super helpful for my sinus headaches AND relaxing. I used it to bring myself down from a panic attack and it was great. I would love a video that was focused on bringing yourself back to center when you're overwhelmed (like a panic attack). Something that you can do at work or during the day that refocuses you. Love all your videos! Thanks again!
I've had anxiety and it just raises my bp very high. I was looking for instructions on how to do this breathing technique and your's finally was the best demonstration/explanation! Thank you! I feel relaxed already!
I consider myself a novice when it comes to meditation. I have a habit of crossing the meditation line and dozing off, but I do catch myself and feel relaxed once the session is over. This session taught me how to settle my breathing and focus on relaxing during the meditative session. Still need a lot more practice, but after each meditation session. My face feels tingly and my body feels relaxed. Gracias Chica!
I’ve been practicing through your 30 day home journey and got this video through there. I have to say, I love it. It is new to me but right away I felt very soothe and concentrated. I am sure through more practicing much more will come. I thank you and appreciate your practices and time taken to share love. Namaste 🙏🏽
I had a terrible headache, and nothing would help, so I decided to try something new, and I could not believe it, but it worked!! You are an awesome teacher and a joy to listen to.. THANK YOU Adriene!! Not to mention, you are HILARIOUS. You always brighten my day. Namaste.
I have shared this with literally everyone I'm helping right now. They have been so grateful so I'm here to pass on their thanks. Thank you Adrienne! You bring spirituality into this atheistic nihilistic girl. ❤️
Imma be honest alternate nostril breathing gives me anxiety cause I feel I'm not getting enough oxygen. After it's finished I feel relieved I can breathe normally again.
It was this breathing technique combined with deep meditation that triggered my kundalini awakening and the opening of my sixth chakra. Stick with it… 👁💚🕉
sixth charka, kudalina awekening lol, you the kind of people that makes this so weird and mumbo jumbo, most people breaths calmy with their nose and has awereness and u dont see people mention this weird spirual nonsense
This is my favorite ways to mindfully. If I try to just breathe through both nostrils to calm myself I often find it hard to settle. I feel tense and almost like I can't get enough air. This way allows me to ground and actually fully deeply breathe. Thank you

Even 8 years later this is still the best tutorial on alternate nostril breathing on RUclips. By far.
After doing this my depressive negative mood completely went away, along with the anxiety and I feel way calmer

Do you still deal with palpitations?
Heart palpitations is insane.
maybe a low dose of beta-blockers might help, like betaxolo hydrochloridum? ask your doctor.
Completely agree - breathing exercises do work, but you need the right one for you ;)

Day 1: Breathe! I really like this practice as I feel it clears my sinuses!
i love coming back to this practice whenever I'm feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or just off/funky. it never fails to feel so cleansing energetically, physically, and mentally. today it's helped remind me of why--why i take care of myself, why i protect myself, why i go out of my comfort zone, why i love myself, why i live even through the hardest moments. it's because i am worth it, life is worth it, and i am an incredible being who deserves infinite love. a lovely practice :) thank you
I've come to realize even after my 18 years of existence I still haven't really found my breath.
Namaste🙏🏾💚💚
I find alternate nostril breathing so relaxing...I also love the early Adriene video, thank you for being our guide over these years!
Breathe: Day 1. I woke up with a headache this morning and this practice was perfect to start my morning routine! Thank you Adriene!
Girl.... idk what i'd do without this channel
When you do this, is one of your nostrils more restricted than the other?
@@tylerx8848 I have. Probably because of my allergies.
My short term benefit: this breathing technique cleared my nose which had been blocked for almost two weeks due to a month-long flu. XD
wow, wow, wow.
+angie roberts What is it like over there? Do you like it?
Greetings. I've been practicing this in the morning before I start my morning flow, and after two weeks, I notice an incredible depth of clarity, an awakening, a refreshing, a lightness. Thank you, Queen.
Whenever I do this practice I realize that I often have 1 blocked nostril 😆
Like kid Cudi says "day n night"
Do kapalbhati ( forceful exhalation ) before this. Your nostril will open up
@@sadiqahmed1648 Thank you for this hint - it worked! 👌😄
@@sadiqahmed1648 isn't doin yoga haram in islam 🤣🤣
@@delia7721 welcome 🙂
Thank you, always good to have a reminder of this ❤
Dear Adriene this practice was difficult for me I almost skipped it until I realized that breathing is the whole point of this 30 days of yoga let alone such a crucial point of all yoga I’ve attempted many of your challenges since I was 12 (I’m 20 now) I would do them before school yet I haven’t completed a single 30 days in a row.
Thankyou Adrienne 😊
You look so cute and funky 🥰 Even 10 years after you look more so cute 😍 So blessed to see the real life example of Yogas benefits.
Thank you so much
Starting today/the month with the moment to myself knowing how crazy work and life will be with the holidays was a wonderful way to breath and remember at the end of the day joy is the goal not perfection ❤
december 1st, 2022 - breathe 🧘🏿♂️
i'm back on the mat. i missed the last week of november and i decided to start anew this month. to show up for myself again. the end of the semester has approached and i feel so glad to have made it. this nostril breathing practice helped to soften up my breathing and was really peaceful.
also happy december to everyone ^^ may it be kind to you ♡
I was having a lot of anxiety and frustration before practicing this video.
Hello friend! We practiced together today. High five 🙌🏻
@@trishakingsbury2224 Yay Yogi friend! 👋🏾 💪🏾😁😆🥰
Happy New Month Zuri👋🏾😊😄🦋💚🙏🏾
Adriene, I had tried this exercise before but have not been practising enough. I tried again this morning because I wanted to relieve my headache. After doing it, my headache was gone!! I definitely will keep doing this. Thank you so much!
Best start of month ❤ December breathe
I agree!
Super happy to be here on this journey with you all :D
(As a side note, I'm coming off of a cold right now and man, this exercise got me feeling more clear than I have for a week!! So we're off to a good start, lol)
💖Ollie
Peace and love to you
The best breathing exercise for anyone with anxiety!! The feeling can't be described in words!! Thank you Adriene! Love and Respect!
I Can Literally feel my body becoming lighter! Thank you for helping with my anxiety🙏🏼
Thank you Adriene for this breathing technique. I use this technique everyday in the morning for my mental health. And I recommend everyone to use this if they are feeling stressed or if they are feeling anxiety.
Nice in the evening! Breathe day 1. 788 days in a row.
Hi Yogi friend! 👋🏾
@@zuriwilson-seymore8939 Hello Hello!
@@williamb7275 Greetings buddy! 🙏🏿 😉
1261 days.
I'm more aware of the rhythm of my breath now
I know this practice and I do it sometimes. But it felt extra nice to do alongside you. 🙏🕉️🌺
Nice start to Breathe, December 2022! I like alternate nostril breathing more every time I do it. Now off to do a workout!
Thanks you! Namaste!
Yes, while suffering from allergies or a cold - it might be best to wait on this one. :) Love to you!
I had the same 'problem", but I made it trough .... ;)
Joan Griffiths.very.calming.thank.you
That was a bit weird starting off at 1st but similar concept to doing a nasal rinse. I had to do the beginners pinky and thumb....not quite here yet in in keeping ringer finger up right (it curled with the other 2 fingers)
I noticed my breathing is getting deeper.
I am dealing with anxiety for a long period of time and it goes on and off, it did stop for some time and now in my 5 month of pregnancy got again into me, so my heart palpitations are disrupting my sleep and making me even more worried than before because I am in charge of one little life in my body, this nostril breathing helped me multiple times to calm down in the moments when I thought that panic attack that I will not be able to stop is coming…
Thank you for doing all this, thank you for being our light in the moments of complete body interruptions and moments when we think that we cant do anything except to run to the ER
For Day 7 of the April calendar, this is a calming breath practice. I will return to this useful tool whenever things get a bit much 🧘🏼♀️🙏💞
And exactly 2 Years later after your comment, I found this video looking after the definition ayurveda, then yogic breathing and here I am and I will practice this to help me to calm down with all the nervous, frightening and uncertainty time that many of us are seeing and living.
Your voice, and practicing yoga alongside, helps and supports me more than the people around me. I am grateful for you.
Hi Adriene, this is not the first time I have practised this, but I used it just now, because I've had a headache all day and .... hey presto! it's gone!! So, dear Adriene, it worked.... again. Thanks so much! Love from Gina
This is a miracle for panic. Wow.
Yoga has always seemed so intimidating. But this simple breathing exercise provided instant relief for my stress, anxiety and the constant tightness in my chest. It really is quite amazing. Excited to follow more of your videos.
You have such a wonderful voice! :)

After the practice I felt "full of life". Colors feel more vivid. I am relaxed and present. Thanks! Will tell you guys how it goes for the week
Really, It is magic. I was feeling my head a little heavy but now it's a little relaxed. Thank you so much. Namaste!
This improved my breathing when performing on stage.
When I do this breathing technique it really clears my lungs and I don't feel short of breath
Thank you 😊
Thank you very much dear teacher
I’ve been practicing through your 30 day home journey and got this video through there. I have to say, I love it. It is new to me but right away I felt very soothe and concentrated. I am sure through more practicing much more will come. I thank you and appreciate your practices and time taken to share love. Namaste 🙏🏽
Just finished day 19 of Home, thank you for the suggestion of this practice as a follow on, it was the icing on the cake.
Namaste 🙏🏾
I had a terrible headache, and nothing would help, so I decided to try something new, and I could not believe it, but it worked!! You are an awesome teacher and a joy to listen to.. THANK YOU Adriene!! Not to mention, you are HILARIOUS. You always brighten my day. Namaste.
I am going to practice this. This will help me as an alternative to having a cigarette.
Did it work
Lol😋 I want a cigarette
Or it could help you smoke 3 at a time.
If we breath all the time this deep, cigarettes won't be needed
I love seeing this video 10 years later!! Thank you for sharing your journey and practice with us Adriene
I love this technique but almost every time this technique comes up in practices I have flue 😂
Yes! Joining the December challenge, this year one month before the release of the January challenge. Feels great and grateful to Adriene & all.
It was this breathing technique combined with deep meditation that triggered my kundalini awakening and the opening of my sixth chakra. Stick with it… 👁💚🕉
Yogananda's Master also recommended this breathing before Kryia
sixth charka, kudalina awekening lol, you the kind of people that makes this so weird and mumbo jumbo, most people breaths calmy with their nose and has awereness and u dont see people mention this weird spirual nonsense
Pffft…I opened my 9th chakra and I can change the channel with my mind. Stick with it and soon you will be as holy, enlightened, and humble as me.
This is my favorite ways to mindfully. If I try to just breathe through both nostrils to calm myself I often find it hard to settle. I feel tense and almost like I can't get enough air. This way allows me to ground and actually fully deeply breathe. Thank you
This is my new favourite tool for when I'm feeling anxious, it really helped me. Thank you so much!
