Oh my gosh I am so thrilled to have found you, I have enjoyed so much your recipes and today I ordered my 6.5qt Nina Foodi and I am thrilled I cannot wait to get it. I have an instant pot and I believe
I am going to love this even more because I can air fry right in it as well! Keep the great recipes coming and I wish you have a cookbook LOL
You really know your stuff, you're prepared and concise, and unlike so many RUclips videos, you didn't waste a minute of my time. Thank you for giving your time and effort to all of us.
OMG thank you! What a great thorough review! I had too many Ninjas in my Amazon cart & just could not decide on which pressure cooker would work best for me! You have no idea how much I appreciate your information! Ninja should be paying you!!! Once again, thank you so very much!
This is FANTASTIC! I've spent so much time with other guides and videos that claim to compare models, but none of them have all of the details (functions, full model numbers), as well as not pointing out the plate in the FD302 v the basket in the OP302/5. Thank you so much and keep up the great videos! :)
That was very nice of you to take the time to make this video--it was very helpful !!
Thank you.
You're very welcome!
I have the FD402 with the knob. Haven;t had any issues at all - just love it. Came with the double rack & basket. Have discovered so many great accessories and of course fabulous recipes that I sometimes do exactly as you have them and others, I add/take out things based on our tastes, through you and your videos, Louise. Thanks so much! I've shared your website and videos with so many people. I have 2 cousins with (I'm not sure which, Ninja or Instant Pot), who are afraid to use and just put the box in a closet. I've sent them your videos and at least now, they're game to give them a try
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you are loving your Foodi!
Great video. You did a great job. Thanks for taking the time to make this one. I am really happy you mentioned the part about the possible burn that could happen as well as the other changes. You did a great job. Thanks.
Thank you!
If anyone hasn't told you lately ... you are such a card. Love your blogs. One doesn't need to wonder why you have over 200,000 subscribers. Thank you for taking the time to share.
Oh thank you so much!
I have the 8 qt with the knob. I bought it on Amazon late summer. It is my 1st foodi and I use it almost every day for something! I love your videos, thanks for all the information and great recipies!!
I'm so glad you are enjoying it!
This was the most helpful review I found so far. Thank you for making this video.
Glad it was helpful!
Wow…thank you so much for your channel and for this video! My Ninja Foodi was delivered today, and I made a roast for supper…it was fabulous!
I finally made the decision to get one of these, then I went and saw how many different models there are to choose from. It almost changed my mind until watching your video. Thanks for the help!
EXCELLENT presentation!! You are SOO knowledgeable. . . Because of you, we made a fabulous purchase of Ninja foodi 8 quarts~ and love it. My husband and I are fans!!

Hope you enjoy!
Thanks for this! I was just gifted teh 5 Qt. I think I may take it back and upgrade to a larger one since I'm cooking for a family of six.
I am so glad that I accidentally saw your video and made me keeping watch it. It worths it and I know now what I need to buy! Thank you. Merry Christmas 🎁🎄
Glad I could help!
I am so glad I watched this video before I purchased my Ninja Foodie! I ended up buying the OP305, which was hard to find, and I am very happy with it! Thank you!
I'm so glad you are happy with it!
Such a great video! Thank you for the very detailed review of the Foodies. Im off to purchase one!
Glad it was helpful! Have fun with your new Foodi!
Great video! Useful information all in 1 video that allowed me to make an easy decision on which model. I loved hearing all the little things that someone wouldn't think about until after they bought it and experienced it. Thank you❤
Thinking of getting one learned so much. Thanks soooooooo much for all your help. ❤😁
You are so welcome!
That transition at 9:15 was amazing! Such a helpful video, thanks and subscribed!
Awesome, thank you!
Thanks a million for the details on all the models
Excellent video, I have a Instant Pot which I'm just learning to use so not looking to buy a Ninja Foodi but the video was very informative. I do have the Ninja Foodi Digital Air Fry Oven which I got about a week ago. Enjoy your videos on that. I must say you have a very pleasant voice and easy way of instructing. So glad I found you.
Awesome! Thank you!
Just got gifted the Ninja 6.5 OP350CO from Costco and I’m so happy I came across this video, learned so much! Thank you. Subscribing!
Awesome! Thank you! I hope you love your new Foodi!
i just started looking at the foodis, i am impressed with your knowledge, and TY for sharing and making it easy for me
I was SO confused trying to purchase one of these to give as a gift and this was BEYOND helpful!!!! thank you. I will also be sure to include your RUclips channel with the gift ;)
Glad it was helpful! Here is the link to my website with written recipes and helpful articles. I also have a mailing list that people can sign up for if they want tips and recipes sent via email. thesaltedpepper.com
Wow I love how informative you are I’m hooked on this web thank you
Awesome! Thank you!
Very thorough and comprehensive explanation of all the different machine models. There are so many now it makes your head spin trying to figure out which one is best. I own the 302 6.5 qt. And love it. I just went through researching air fryers.... again there are so many types. Finally decided on the Ninja twin basket (your review definitely helped) and so far I’m happy with it. Thank you for putting out these types of videos.
Glad it was helpful!
This is the model I have. Glad you love it, can't wait to see for myself!
Thank you! Definitely helped me decide which one to get!
Glad I could help!
Thanks so much for this video!! Was really looking for something to use in our RV and decided the foodi would be a great option. The 6.5 quart is the best fit for my family and I had decided on getting one from Costco. Your comparison of the new and old models let me know the older one is what I wanted- didn’t want to pay extra for accessories that I would definitely need. Thanks!!
I hope you love it!
Thank you for this video. I have the OP302 and I was thinking of upgrading to the new model. I don't need to replace my current unit, I was just thinking, hey, newer! Based on your info I am going to hold onto my current model!
Ommmmmg I've been researching which one there's so many! I followed ur channel to try this out. Thank you souch for going over each model!!!
Yes, there are so many it's crazy!
Souch ? 🤣
@@jamesdenny4734 souch = so much
@@truthhurtz2793 yes, I realized it was a typo, had to laugh at it... 40+ years out of high school... it was good to go back... even for a minute 🤣
@@jamesdenny4734 That's funny !!!
Awesome video, very detailed. Fell in love with your style, subscribed halfway through the video 😂
Yay! Thank you!
Thank you so much for this! I want sure whether to purchase the 5 qt or 6.5 qt but this video helped me make my decision!
Glad I could help!
Outstanding overview! I have the Deluxe with the knob, and since it’s the only one I’ve ever used I haven’t noticed an unexpected amount heat. Really love your videos! Thank you for all the time and details in producing quality videos.
Thank you so much!
You didn't answer all my questions, but he'll, you covered a ton of info nonetheless and I fully appreciate your efforts! Thank you. 🙌
Thank you so much for the inputs Im glad I got rib of the newest 6.5q u same me some $$ n a headache. Thanks ☺️
You are so welcome!
Thank you...I read so many reviews and just got discouraged. I want one that grills, roasts, rotisserie, air fry, dehydrated and big enough
I love your channel I am still in the process of trying to choose my first Ninja multi cooker. I have had a multi-cooker in the past but the electronics kept failing. And now I've watched your channel and you are wonderful and I thank you for all your information you are great and I'm not just saying that I'm really happy that I found your Channel. And now they come out with the Speedi... how confusing is this?? LOL I purchased two models of the Ninja on Black Friday and Cyber Monday LOL and now I see that there's a Speedi... one of the main reasons I would like one of the Ninjas is because of the sous vide function. For some reason I'm obsessed with sous vide for the last year and a half don't know why. Anyway this is a lengthy comment and I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your videos. Kudos!
Luv your super honesty. I have an instant pot but after watching your channel I am very interested in all the features. With the ninja. Did I say I am a gadget junkie ? Luv your recipes. Thank you for your comparisons.
Really good info! Thanks for detailed review.
Thanks!
Great video and info Louise! Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for making this video. Very informative and so helpful!
I'm so glad to hear that it was helpful
This was soooooooo great for my purchase decision making. Thank you so much ❤️🔥

Thank you so much!
This was so helpful, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
I really enjoy your videos🤩you explain everything so good
Very helpful 👍🏼
Glad you like them!
Really helpful & honest review thanks! 🤗
You’re welcome 😊
I have the 5 qt and I use it often for one pot meals, or small soup dishes, but not as much as I do the 6 1/2 qt one, I use the 8qt for stews, soups, or whole chickens. I love your video's. I have found that companies seem to get to a point where they have the top selling product they then begin decide to go cheaper on making the items they produce. Shame because what will happen is people will won't up grade or won't buy the products any more.
My mom just gifted me a Ninja Foodi she got from Walmart and the first one they sent me was refurbished 😡
Second one they sent was brand new and thankfully came with the rack you like. Thank you for all the info, im ready to binge on your videos to get cooking ideas 😁
I hope you love your new Foodi!
Thank you. Just ordered the 6.5 qt model with the proper basket, rack, and quality lid.
I hope you love it!
Great reference guide. I’m thankful I bought mine when I did.
I use my Ninja and Instant Pots so much that I think the
lighter lid sounds problematic. Especially concerning is
the heat of the handle 🧐
Thank you for your thorough reviews!

Thank you! The handle heat isn't enough to burn you, but it is different!
Hey there, Happy Thanksgiving (or Post-Thanksgiving I guess). Just wanted you to know I just Subscribed and look forward to viewing all your previous and new videos. Your videos helped convinced me to buy the Ninja Foodi 8qt Pressure Cooker/Air Fryer. As part of the high risk population, I've been cooking at home a lot more plus it saves $$$ than always getting takeout. So thanks for the reviews and videos! Much appreciated!
I hope you love the Foodi! Happy Thanksgiving!
Great review and attention to the details, the design, the temp differences..
Thank you!
Thank you for all the info, very informative
Glad it was helpful!
I had just purchased the newer 6.5 quart Ninja and a little later watched this video. When I checked my purchase I found it indeed had the "inferior" basket and rack so - on your advice, I canceled the new (stainless) version and ordered the (all-black) 6.5 quart Ninja which had the "superior" basket & rack. Actually saved money on the deal as well. Thanks for this video - it saved me from some inconvenience down the road : )
Glad I could help!
so glad that you are still with us.
I'm not going anywhere! It was the FB group only that became an issue and I'm working through that. I just need thicker skin! LOL
@@TheSaltedPepper Thicker skin, yes.

Thank you for the video, I just bought the op350co 6.5 and it comes with the racks and basket
That's great!
Ninja need to hire you. I just got mine and your channel i can't go wrong
I hope you enjoy your Foodi!
Thanks for doing this! We have been researching these for about a month so your timing is PERFECT! Which model (Of all of them) is your favorite and why?
My favorite is the OP305 or OP302 because I like the accessories it comes with and the size is good for me. They all work great though!
I appreciate you taking the time to make this video (in fact all your videos). I had the Foodi with the basket and gave that to my daughter. And now I have the sous vide one. I love it! I prefer the one with the black rack instead of basket. And I don't miss the reverseable metal rack either. I'm glad the lid is not as heavy and didn't even notice the heat of the lid!!! I also have the Foodi grill with the temp probe, that's where I do cakes etc. I love the shape of that for mac and cheese... Basically, I wanted to sous vide and to pressure cook. So again Louise, me having been in the food service industry for many years, I know how much it takes for you to create these recipes and then after all of that, you or someone has clean up the kitchen! Much love to you, Carla
Thanks for sharing that information! I'm glad the plate and other rack are working out for you! It does take a lot of time, but I love doing it! Thanks so much!
Thank you so very much for this video. I'm from Australia and considering buying my first Foodi Ninja. The one we currently have available however is OP300 8 in 1. Having information like this is helpful for me so thank you very much.
We have the OP500 which is the same as the one on the left in the last 2 :). You can get it at good guys and on the ninja website itself
@@Midgey I tried to get my hands on the OP500 but my local store doesn't have it available would need to travel an extra 2 hours to get it lol so having it delivered.
Great video Louise, thank you 👍🏼
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for the explanation. Very helpful. ♥️
Perfect overview! Thank you 🙏
Thank you!
There is a newer 5 qt option available now. It's the 10 in 1 model FD101 - I'm a small family of 2 and we just purchased the 5qt and it's awesome. It does comes with a broiler rack it also has the dehydrate, broil and has other key features. Just wanted to share this info in case anyone else had a smaller family and wanted more features.
Thanks so much! Where did you get the FD101 model? I'm super interested in seeing what the rack is all about.
@@TheSaltedPepper I got my FD101 at Target in September/ October last year. I tried registering it on the Ninja site and it was successful but couldn't find accessories.
I just ordered something like this and
Can you fit a whole chicken in the 5 quart? Supposedly it should.
I have the original 6.5 qt model. The only time I like using the pressure lid when not pressure cooking is the Steam function. The presets for the time and temp on the steam function work perfect. The time can be changed, but that’s just messing with something that doesn’t need to be fixed. Otherwise, I have glass lids from other pans in my kitchen, and I like to put a 10” or 12” lid over it when simmering. I don’t like that the pressure lid needs to locked into place for non pressure functions. I’m just not comfortable with it. I won’t use it. I believe Instant Pot comes with a clear lid. It’s okay. I don’t need another lid in my kitchen. But I will put a clear lid over it every time. I also bought a 9” silicone disk to line the bottom of the pot when air frying anything messy. It works great, and I would suggest Ninja consider including one in future models.
Very helpful information. Thanks for sharing it.
Glad it was helpful!
You are a Ninja Warrior. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks!
Thank you Louise!! I has to call Ninja today because yesterday I burned food I was reheating on air crisp function and I mean I burned it to a crisp in under a minute, noticing the Fan was not on. I tried troubleshooting but the fan didn't engage on any cycle forcing me to call. Since it only has a 1 year warranty, and since I bought mine in March 2020, They said it has to be replaced. I have the OP40208 8 quart and have used it a minimum of 4 times a week so needless to say, I got my money's worth! They offered a new version of mine which is an FD402 regularly with 30% off and will get it within a week. I loved the features in the new one with the thermometer, but, I have wireless probes I use in mine and The FD402 I'm getting has a reheat and sous vide,, two features my other didn't have so I'm happy. You should have a Food Nerwork TV show or at least be the official spokesperson for Ninja! Your recipes, explanations and product reviews are far better than any Ninja spokesperson or Ninja cookbook!!
Thank you so much and you are going to LOVE the sous vide function!
Oh thank you I didn’t realise that lol x
I have the ninja foodie 5 quart 11 in 1. With broil and a couple of other things. Thanks for your review :)
Hope you enjoy it!
What a great presentation. Thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it!
Found you. Just bought a Ninja Grill XL and my sister said to find you on YT. LoL!!
This is awesome. Thank you.
Thanks!
So happy to know the basket from the op 302 fits in the FD 302
What a terrific and thorough vid, good job pretty lady
Thank you kindly!
I received the OS101 9-in-1 5-qt for Christmas, which seems to be more of a fusion of the 6.5 or 5-qt models you reviewed. Used it twice that day! Had to replace it via Ninja Support because the Sear/Sauté failed. (Side note-the support was superb and they shipped the replacement when they got notice from FedEx that my unit was received for shipment, so was only out of use for five days from Monday shipment to Saturday replacement.) The OS101 is a good fit for my wife and me because we cook mostly just cook for the two. So in three weeks of use, I’ve tried several recipes using air-crisp or pressure or both. Having no previous experience, so I’ve found it just quite a paradigm shift. Love the convenience.
I'm so glad you had a good experience and are enjoying your Foodi! The more you use it, the easier it gets!
You are awesome. Sending love and thanks!
Thank you so much!
Very helpful, you do a great job.
So excited for your videos !! Thanks so much, I am curious though, is it still technically possible to sous vide in my 8qt?
If you have the one with the sous vide function, then yes. I just learned that there is one available or at least that is what I have been told. I haven't seen it first hand yet.
@the salted pepper I know you did this vid a year ago, but thank you. I have just started my research and hope to run into deals. So now I am just looking for diff between 9-1 6.5 qt and 12-1 8 qt. Other than the one being harder to look into. You know? I dont necessarily need large size as small family, but I do freeze meals. Thank you for kicking off my research. Oh yeah I am concerned about the new 6.5 heat as I see other reviewers are too. Hmm🤔
Oh I just found you did a 6.5 vs 8, 3 years ago. I will compare with current features.
Thank you. I had the 5 qt (unopened) and will return for larger one. I want more flexibility. Your video helped so much.
Glad it helped! I think you'll be happy with the upgrade for sure!
The 5 quart is my most used foodi. It’s my electric skillet and quick air fryer and pressure cooking some rice or beans or noodles. ❤
It's funny that I never new that I new how to use a sous vide cooker until just now. I used to work in a restaurant that had one that I used to use all the time but, I didn't know the name of it. Lol.
Nicely done. I would seriously consider the upgraded 6.5 qt, but the fact that it gives off so much heat is a deal breaker for me. One of the great things about the Foodi IMO me is being able to use it in summer without warming up the whole room.
I do love my Foodi, despite wanting an insta pot/casori the year I got it. I literally broke my toe on it when it was under the tree and was geared up to hate that little booger. Love it tho, and it's the one extra appliance in my kitchen I would not be without.
It does get warm to the touch, but I haven't noticed that it gives off any more heat than the other ones do as far as heating up the room goes. I wouldn't let that factor into your decision to upgrade.
When I purchased my 6.5 it came with both of those racks and to this day I hardly ever use the nonadjustable. The pro looks a smidge more attractive but I'm so in love with my Foodi that I couldn't even be tempted with the pro-poser!
I don't use the non adjustable one either.
LOVE the video. Very helpful information. Thank you very much. God bless.
You are so welcome!
Thank you so much for the info on the yoghurt function on the newer models. We've been wondering how to do a cold start and you solved the mystery!
Glad it was helpful!
Always informative
Thank you!
I love your videos - you are awesome !!!
Thank you so much!
Great review!
Glad you think so!
I appreciate your reviewing the Ninja Foodi pressure cooker/air fryer combo. I was going to buy the 8 qt. but after seeing your review, I decided to buy 2 separate machines. The 8 qt. combo is 25 lbs. and way too large for me to handle. I thought the combo would be good for my RV but I would have to store it on the floor when traveling and lifting something so large and heavy would not be good for my back.
Glad I could help!
Hi! Thank you for this very detailed video! Really helpful. I was wondering if you can tell me the difference between ninja foodi and ninja speedi?
The Ninja Foodi is round, bigger and pressure cooks. The Speedi is square, smaller, and doesn't pressure cooker.
Thank you much!
You're welcome!
best review ever. thanks
Glad you liked it!
Love that name! "Salted Pepper"! Too cool
Thanks so much!
Thanks for All your tips found very useful and I have got 2 of them. Any advice for cleaning the grill lid ? finding that a bit of a pain please
It is a bit of a pain, I just use a kids electric toothbrush to get under there once a month or so. The rest of the time, I simply wipe it the best I can. I do use the broil function to burn off anything that may be on the grate itself.
I"m interested in the two large high gloss ones and there is only a $20 difference in the 6.5 quart and the 8 quart. Would you recommend I get the larger one? Family of four and I'm 5'5. By the way, I LOVE the way you communicate in your videos, by the way. You speak clearly and explain things very well. New subscriber here!
Excellent overview - they are definitely reducing the cost of manufacture by reducing the build quality, more so in the 6.5qt but both are lessor quality.
Thank you! It is really a shame that they aren't keeping them the same quality.
