The work on that Morg is outstanding...well done that man.
Can't wait to do a special feature soon enough!
Lovely sounds. Thank you!
The HEMIs especially, yes!
Being in the US I view New Zealand as a far away place. So, it is amazing to me that these American cars traveled on ships to get to New Zealand. For some reason that sort of distance amazes me.
I mean we're just a 10hrs flight from LA...makes you think! And btw, we started collecting and driving them here since the 50s, so yeah that's plenty of time.
@@musclecars.universe So those cars were never directly exported to New Zealand for sale? They were all imported by someone who wanted to have a particular car?
Actually both, some cars were brought here brand new and offered for sale at official dealerships. Although most of the current fleet were all imported privately.
In total we're accounting for a little under 400,000 Classic vehicles here in NZ, with a population of just 5,5m people. Pretty outstanding ratio if you think about it.
@@musclecars.universe Yes it is pretty incredible alright. I heard a figure some months ago about the amount of cash these cars bring into our national economy through various trades etc, I cant remember what it was but it was in the 10's of millions.
Hey Bob, yes it was sort of a census done on a sample of population and attested the total value of the Classics market here in NZ at $11Bn. It was then later refined with a more accurate calculation and bumped to $13Bn. That's NZD though, in USD would be a bit less but still mind-blowing
Hot rods and harleys show on in Dargaville sat 16th march 10am till 4pm $5 entry all welcome
