It's like Kangana's rebuke to KJo on nepotism, rather than shaming him, had the exact opposite effect. It only emboldened him further. And today we've got Ananyaaaa Paaaaaaandeeeeeyyyyy.
vedant parasrampuria but isn’t nepotism exists in every profession. No business man gives his business to someone else who is more qualified. They would pick their no good children to inherit their business. I do think there are some star children who should give up acting. It’s just not their cup of tea!!!
@@shalwinderkaur8276 the fact that nepotism actors consider themselves to have struggled as much as outsiders makes it a big issue and also not acknowledging their privilege
I don't know why bollywood get too much slammed for nepotism. Yes it is not good but the fact is nepotism is everywhere. And it is natural human tendency to support the people closer to us. Be it in politics, administration or even in simple walks of life. We favour those closure to us. So nepotism is everywhere. And it is not a crime like in govt. jobs where people with influences favour their closed ones/relatives over other deserving canditates. Nepostism there is a crime, not in favouring certain star kids. People will reject if they don't like the actor. Yes Ananya undeservedly got filmfare instead of many newcomers. The criticism should be there. But nepotism in itself in not the vices only linked with Bollywood, it is everywhere.
He also dated Ahana Deol when they were younger. I understand if Anil Kapoor was distant family that he wasn't really in touch with, but if you're hanging out with the Deols, I'd say he had access to connects. Money + connections - direct godfather = Ranveer Singh aka bollywood's outsider

Same goes for deepika, she is not an "outsider" . She belongs to the elite class. Like literally the type where you can just dial a number and get contact. The real outsider can't do that. Like rajkumar rao. Like shushant. Lol.
But no she had no godfather or someone who helped her shape her career. She didn't even get movies from big banners after her string of flops. You can’t justify bhansali by saying that. Hitting and mentally torturing your intern is wrong on all levels. No matter who you are. No matter what the industry is, no matter the wealth or so called creative mindset. It is wrong to torture someone like this and you need to take a stand against it. I think it is much better to acknowledge your privilege and then work as hard as you can to show what you've got rather than hiding certain aspects of your life and painting a false picture just so as to connect with the masses. I realised it long back though. When Ranveer showed his picture as a kid standing alongside Akshay Kumar in an episode of Koffee with Karan, I realised it then and there that this guy must be from a very good background because people like us do not get to meet celebrities as such. I of course didn't know that he belonged to a family of actors. This is unfortunate to be honest. An actor who has always been portraying his humble roots to us is just a facade. I will definitely prefer an Alia or Ranbir Kapoor over someone like Ranveer now. At least they aren't fooling us.
U r right! When Ananya panday struggle controversy happened I couldn't understand it at first (I thought why would someone tell the whole world that he/she has had privileged upbringing, everyone wants to play victim card. Yes her claim was false but at least it wasn't unusual). Later I found out that in last year's same interview jahnvi Kapoor had accepted that she had privileged which helped her in getting movies....I guess she set a standard right there for all nepotism kids n when Pandey fell below standard everyone got angry😂
I agree. Can you imagine how many outsiders he gave false hope too? There are people looking up to him and thinking they too could succeed without connections but the whole time he had several connections. That’s just sick and disgusting of him.
Ranveer Singh is soooo over hyped, and now he's designed an eccentric persona for himself. Ranveer is definitely made for commercial cinema which is why he is just a good actor, he's not great. I noticed in Padmavat, he was literally occupying the screen, vying for attention, and not giving the actors around him the space to be. Shahid Kapoor was so quietly brilliant in the film, and his performance was overlooked as Ranveer screamed from the rooftops for the attention - and he got it. A true actor/actress is gracious and giving. You only have to watch Amitabh Bachchan who understands grace, and knows when to hold himself back, and allow the actors around him to shine!
Ranveer's character is loud vs Shahid's is more stoic. They both performed it accordingly. So your comment about Padmavat doesn't really fit in this scenario. I honestly don't care if someone is a "starkid" if they are talented which both Ranveer and Shahid are. The issue is when they are bad and are still given multiple chances like Sonam, Arjun, Ananya, etc. That is what we should be focusing on, not blindly vilifying someone only bc they have a filmy background. If you don't enjoy a performance, don't buy tickets to watch their content. It is all about money, that's it.
Shahid plays s responsible king.. any actor would have to do the same. Not that he didn't do a great job.. Ranveer plays a narcissistic and psychopathic character.. they were both casted accordingly.. just because a person is not an outsider doesn't mean that they are not talented.. if you would ask Shahid to do Ranveer's character the character whold not have got justice.. and vice versa..and Ranveer did a wonderful job in Bajiraomastani.. and to whoever is reading this.. don't you think we reacted the wrong way.. when we should have been supporting new and talented artists.. we were hating on starkids not considering any of their achievements..even today.. If anything we should watch movies for the story instead of the actors and praise the actors even if they are starkids in case they have done a good job and if an outsider is unable to do justice for a role let them know..this is all just my opinion at this point I can't hate anyone..
Actors like Dharmendra were the real outsiders. You should a do a feature on him as he not only was a top actor, he oozed charm, could play the brooding angry man and his comic timing was on point. Not many actors like that anymore! Love from England

Obviously
@More Nice Guy there r more. I like Vikrant Massi a lot
Very well said
in lootera he acted ..well..
@Shillyvk Sshilly equal

Those movies ran away with all the awards and praises. Everybody forgot k3g at the end of the year
@@TheSuavemanner but if you check out the satellite popularity f K3G it's alsmost triple of both the two films
Good to see that you have given credit to Tabassum Talkies channel.
This episode is staggering and I would say best out of the whole videos done so far. Keep it up.
I always like 50's,60's and 70's decade of films. The standard of story, music and acting is uncomparable.
Ranveer singh Bhabnani is the grandson of Chand Burke ji.
Chand burke who was worked with many superstars of her era has also worked with THE SHOWMAN of Indian cinema, Raj Kapoor ji.
On the maternal side, Ranveer is the nephew of Sunita Bhabnani (mother of Sonam kapoor).
Ranveer's family residing in Bandra since 1980's..... so he has the same level of struggle as Annanya and Alia.
Your content is unique, crisp and truly immersive. I loved this video for thought provoking questions it raised and the unexplored side it explained. Thank you.
Sahi hai yaarr.. hum kaise kaise strategies mein phhass jaate hain. Humesha the OUTSIDER tag was a bigg catalyst for ranveer's fan following ..
Another necessary REVEAL. THANKS BROY
Yes, I also read Rekha ji's biography and was shocked by the things mentioned - she tried to kill herself in 9th standard, she was kissed forcefully for her first film and she was underage, she got married to Vinod Mehta but his mother never accepted her, etc.
Nepotism has been a problem since forever. It's funny how we forget that we see them love them because they are really good at their work.. Not because they are kids of some know people.
Nepotism is found in every field from education to politics so why so much hue and cry about bollywood
@@visha1957-y9g but there people don't really get chances. They still have to work hard if they have to keep their family legacies.. Here this isn't the case
No it is because of visibility. People know even arjun kapoor.
@@visha1957-y9g Following what your parents do is natural. But nepotism in bollywood is a problem because almost all new actors are rising due to nepotism. If your doctor or engineer became doctor because of donation, you would have a problem. And in bollywod it looks like every actor is like that.
@@Kush_Bhatnagar but people with no background had to do more hard work in comparison to people with background to gain same position.Same applies to bollywood where outsiders struggled to get chances but insiders get it easily.
Ranbir Kapoor's voice is out of this world.
yes, when in real life. he sounds like a goat..
So is your profile picture.
He is out of this world😂
This channel is by far the most film-dedicated channel I've seen. I love your work, it's like I'm waiting to see your next video and learn/know something I didn't before! Keep up with the same work!
I like your content jammy .. well researched
The day when audience will start judging talent, be in insider or outsider that will bring more talents in front of us.
Did you know Ranbir once even dated Imran Khan's would be wife Avantika? Next level tharak. 😂😂😂
Yes😁
Yes I knew, it was once in newspaper
He stalked her, she was not very forthcoming
Bc sirf ranbir tharak aur jo ladki uske saath jaati hai ooh devi
He dated her when they were teenager...

Ranveer Singh once spotted in an old pic of sonam Kapoor's (liberandu) birthday bash when he was a kid.
Literally every actor who got a film inside 2 years is connected to the industry somehow.
OMG. Ranveer looks exactly like his grandma. In that one shot the expressions she gave was so much like ranveer. Wow. Cool info.
A suitable boy by Vikram Seth is getting made which will star Ishaan Khattar, Tabu and I'm excited for it!!!!
Oh yeah
It is going to feature ishaan khattar, tabu and Tania maniktala
Ranveer or Yesh banner used a very strong PR team to promote and advertising him and make him a star ....so now he is poster boy as a successful outsider though he is a good actor....I think Aditya needs to use this pr team cause he is underrated
This ranveer Singh. Big lier just hiding his connection with film industry portraying that he is an outsider .. Pure nepotism product...
In today's world of highlighting South Industry all the time and victimising Bollywood to the extreme I appreciate how honest u r.. felt it again during your discussion about Rekha
There is book named..the confidence game ..which tells genitically ..genius and pschyos are similar, and it is proven through experiment..
There is so much good in the market to learn from and grow and here we have a video recommending these... Seriously, hilarious!
Do a video on Mohanlal... He's one of the greatest actor in India... today is his birthday.
Agreed... He is India's answer to Marlon Brando!!👌🏻👌🏻
@@etwety he surely is the greatest actor in India but he is no where to Marlon Brando
@@addyzagade6561He definitely is bro. Even in godfather I thought even Al Pacino was better than Brando
In her interview with Simi Gerewal she had also denied her relationship rumours with Amitabh Bachchan. I am kinda inclined to believe there was too much hullabaloo about nothing. Maybe Ranveer couldn't much capitalise on her grandmother but still no reason to deny Bollywood-family connection.
Outsiders = SRK ,Irfan khan ,Nawazdin, Sushant Singh, Manoj bajpaye, Pankaj tripathi, Rajkumar rao, Divya bharti ,Diya mirza , Sunil Grover, Vidit Jamwal, Adha sharma etc....
You missed Akshay Kumar
You know you can do a whole video on the trajectory of the 3 khans in the bolywood , at what position their career is and how each one of them have carved a unique identity in the minds of the masses

Deepika refused to work with vicky kaushal as he was not so popular but worked with ranveer singh. HOW??
That's what am talking about he is an action directors son and definitely not treated the same way other big star kids are so this just shows how cheap both ranveer and deepika are
The reverence KJo has for SRK, I see the same in Ayan for Ranbir.
Ha ha. Both directors actually have same orientation
I beleive everything in this world has a price and expiry.
No doubt Ranveer Singh has struggled his way out to stand as a star in BW. But showing ignorance on his own grand mom is something we have to think about.
Thanks for bringing this to light.
Thank Goodness Amjad Khan was finally chosen for Gabbar's role n Big B over Shatrughan Sinha for Jai's role. If not them then Sholay wouldn't have been The Sholay that it is now! ❤️
I like Anushka journey also, she grew very well and now she is giving opportunity to many newcomers and outsider from her production house, like- Patal Lok or Bulbul.
I knew about Ranveer Singh . He has told a few times about meeting superstars earlier in his age .meeting them through his dad . But whatever he is such talented and beautiful man
Agreed that he is a wonderful actor and an amazing personality but if he really is not an outsider than why did he lie about it?
It's just a question and i am not criticizing him
Do you think so! His acting is pathetic !
@@techmania5957 maybe like jammy said they used it for marketing which is wrong without doubt but yes I have seen a few interviews where he recall how is dad used to take him to meet stars and I realised he was not an outsider or atleast had a somewhat influence from.inside . But yes we don't know what goes behind those doors
@@byethere each for his own . I completely love him as an actor :)
@Shlok Chitnis he meant ananya pandey , jhanvi kapoor, etc. 3 names you mentioned are great actors but still ayushmam lags behind rajkumaar and Vicky in terms of acting
Ranveers connection with bolloywood reveals a subtle truth on how its been operating by nepotism. Not judging ranveers talent but, the way ranveer is been casted into various production houses exponentialy faster than other actors, there may be some implicit arrangements. I think nepotism is just another word for trust factors as various line of profession always have it with them. We all need to accept this as audience also. In todays time, things have really changed we dont have to wait for big production houses to launch a versatile actor, we have web as a delivery channel which can cast a talent on our mobile screen. In my opinion there is nothing to change in bollywood it would eventually change by introducing a new kpi which is audience quotient assigned by the audience itself to make someone a star. I remember once ranveer said in an interview with rajeev masand, " Ayushman gives the highest ROI to production houses" and that says it all.
U have helped me change my opinion on movies and society in a really great way.....so ya thanks a lot
Thank God that Kareena refused Kal ho na Ho
Coz Preity was best for Naina's role and she killed it.
I find ranveer highly overrated. His unnecessary loud and overenergetic acting is a cringe 😬and his bizarre dressing sence makes him even worse.👎
I am totally agree with you at this point. He is a good actor but highly hyped and overrated. His acting in Lootera was commendable. But his stupid jokes and overacting makes him cringier like TikTok.
That's just who he is. If you dont like it dont watch his movies. Dont just badmouth him
A person being loud and energetic is fine. Each is to their own but faking it is what is annoying about him. He is a hypocrite.
