Yellow lights on a blue vehicle always such a fun colour scheme to me. I agree with other comments here that gold rims would have really set it off perfectly though :)
I find the price interesting, here in New Zealand this set costs $22 NZD ($13.50 USD) Not sure how but our sticker price seems to undercut all the other regions.
With this set I added the micromanager hands to tge wheels removed the blue and replaced with black then added some red and green and added 4 trans green missiles on each size and a 6 barrel machine gun swivel turret my intent was to make it a vehicle for tge batman villain bane
I got this for my old son when I was out of town for a few days. Unlike his big sister's sets, despite really liking the truck it only lasted a short while before being smashed for parts - as is good and proper!
I'm pretty sure there's a Red Monster Truck coming in a later wave. This set is internally known as Blue Monster Truck and there's a Red Monster Truck clearly visible in the background of the box art for this set. There also seems to be a delivery or recycling center visible on the box art of the Burger Truck set.
I wish the colors popped more or were brighter-- blue accents aside it's all just kind of a dark shape. Maybe if just the rims had been a different color-- part of the blue, Mayne pink or red or copper or something.
Okay, one I love you bringing up the scenario of this thing being "Street Legal" as a daily driver. Two, I'd like to think that this new Minifigure that has this head is the sorta unofficial remade Mini Jang. Seriously, look at the facial expression and the eyebrows with the hair, that's a pretty good resemblance. 😅
Seeing you build it live makes the video feel different, idk why, anyways, sweet monster truck I’m glad lego keeps knocking 20 Buck sets out of the park!
With a suspension, this monster truck would have been virtually perfect, but it still works as is, I really like the color scheme, maybe Lego should make another one in a different color and have a competition between them, now that would be super fun!
To me this build really looks more like a "regular" toy than LEGO. Glad that the flame is a print tho. There are trucks like this driving around cities that would kill me if we got in a crash as they would just run my car over (raised trucks should not be street legal).
Many monster trucks do not have opening doors. A seat is just another thing to pull out / get legs stuck on as Jang mentioned. Suspension would be nice though.
lack of doors is always a way to save additional production costs IMHO... you see this in generally EVERY City vehicle that comes out these days@@frostedbutts4340
YES! The hairpiece is SO appreciated, I am going out to buy this set this week! LEGO, please pay attention: as a kid, I was so desperate to get hair pieces for my helmeted Mini-Figures, I wrote to you (and that was before email)! You are finally including hair pieces in some sets. Why not City Space? Come on , Lego. You got this. If you include that extra bit for me, I will buy every time. Deal? 😃🤓 Oh, and nice job, Jang.
Your review made me buy this haha😂. Its a great truck. Love the prints. But I'm confused why this and also the burger stand had prints. And for instance the rescue helicopter has stickers. When Hospital signs are far more common throughout sets. 🤔 Same with the crook hideout. Every detail is a sticker except the wanted poster. I wonder what the reasoning is. As for the burger truck I think people will get the parts for a burger shop. But this flame on the truck has limited use. Confusing.
Seeing you toss and smash it around and it's totally fine really brings a smile to my face
I love the bit where you cracked up imagining it driving to the grocery store 😊

Thanks for the review. Nice chunky tires, those are
Yoda in the house!
Fun, you will have.
Those tires rly sell it 🛻
Great little build for a kid looking so some quick fun.
I really glad they finally got the chevrons out for the monster trucks! I love this!! Great price too!!!
Nice simple, classic toy. Lego at it's finest.
This is one of the best Lego City sets this year. The building experience is boring BUT the result is just awesome!
For some reason, that figure's torso looks like a uniform to me. I could imagine that being used for some sort of custom fantasy emperor figure.
Or a Kungfu body suit like Kill Bill
I never get tired of your reviews, Jang.
⚙️HAHA! 🤣
Bada-boem! 😁😁
Jang I love how much fun you had with this review! Also what a nice monster truck glad you showed how durable it is
Best monster truck ever in the City range, in my opinion.
Those tires are niiiiiiiiice.

Those wheels are super cool, the colour scheme is quite novel for city cars and the whole proportions are great. Very durable as well. Very solid set!

finally something the clones can use to take out the tri droid
They finally have the right mold for monster truck tires. Looks fantastic!
Really perfect sizing and scale
Having structure really close to the ground is a problem in real vehicles. Great review, sir.

Awesome truck love the big tyres great review 👍
Definitely need to build some more of those monster trucks in different colors for a monster truck show
I had lots of fun building this nice little set. Monster Truck looks good. 😀
Hmmmm I see ideas I could do with it

Nice tires! Good to see those!
Thanks Jang. Just got it. My big blue needed a ladder.🤠
I bought the set and used the tires for my moc 😊 Love those tires!
I'll buy this just to upgrade the tires on my Technic Monster Jam trucks
With a suspension, this monster truck would have been virtually perfect, but it still works as is, I really like the color scheme, maybe Lego should make another one in a different color and have a competition between them, now that would be super fun!
The big wheels REALLY help!
Looks like something super fun to play with!
Another big win for LEGO City 2024!
🚧🚨🚧 Very Interesting Set Looks Really Nice...🙂🚧👍
Great video

I need this set, it's very cool.
my 3 year old went nuts for it
Would love to see lego do some monster jam trucks like grave digger and not in the technic
Great review 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
If I got this as a kid I'd totally use that torso to make my own superhero
Looks better than the old ones
So now we know that Jang wants a monster truck to get groceries.
No suspension?
No doors?
No seat?
No taillights? Modification time.
Many monster trucks do not have opening doors.
A seat is just another thing to pull out / get legs stuck on as Jang mentioned.
Suspension would be nice though.

Thats actually pretty dope
Might get it just for the wheels

Lego missed a big opportunity by not adding suspension on it
Needs two flags on the poles at the back and a "real" suspension 👍😉
I bought 2 sets just for the tires and wheels
Great set
Why isn't this $15, there is no reason for Lego to charge a dollar more
How does the driver get up there? 😂
With difficulty. A real monster truck ain't easy to get in or out of.
Does it slso comes in black or very, very, very dark grey? Batman wants to know. 😉
2:30 it's okay; LEGO's clutch power has been decreasing for the last five years. I'm thinking of downgrading it to street legality - if I get it.
With buying for the price
It seems like a downgrade without suspension
