*After watching I was left wondering what makes the chair so good.* The video kept repeating little talking points but besides a little talk of the mesh seat, nothing was said about the chair features or fit ... nothing. Compare that to how many times you ask for a thumbs up.
I thought about buying the chair for 4 years since 2016. Finally, I bought one a few weeks ago. For those who are wondering, this isn't the most comfortable chair out there. If you want comfort, get an executive or gaming chair with headrest and leg-rest. The Aeron encourages us to sit right, so when we leave the chair after 8 hours our necks, backs, butts, legs aren't sore or stiff. The Aeron is designed to do just that, so if you have a habit of sitting cross-legged or slouching, the Aeron will punish you for that; it gets extremely uncomfortable very quickly. The edges of their chair will hit your body parts where they shouldn't be. The Aeron isn't a magical chair that will let you sit however you want and fix your issues. It forces you to sit ergonomically. You'll only see the benefits when you leave the chair, not when you're in it. Don't buy this chair if you're not ready to make a commitment to improving your posture.
for those who do like to change up their position occasionally, this has shown to not necessarily be too bad of a thing, and there are a few task chairs out there that can better accomodate that. the mirra 2 or embody from HM don't have hard plastic cylinder, and the leap and gesture from steelcase are supposedly built for a wider variety of sitting positions.
I have this chair, and while I agree that it is made to encourage good sitting posture to help your back not get messed up, I disagree with you saying it is uncomfortable. I find the chair to be extremely comfortable, but I have also had exceptional posture all my life. I hope people see both your comment as well as mine so that they can take both sides into consideration before buying, as I think it could help.
I just realized that I've already sat in one of these for testing in college. I honestly have never been more comfortable in such an uncomfortable position so this is gonna have to be a yoink for me. Great vid btw
This is THE BEST office chair I've ever owned. I worked for Microsoft, Sony & other big companies in my past 20+ years career, I always have the Herman Miller Aeron chair everywhere I worked. It's my choice. I even purchased one for my home office with headrest and a gel cushion pad. That's how much I love it. Cheers.
I've worked in high finance basically my whole career and took it for granted that the aeron is a great chair since I've had them in all my offices. Now that work from home is an indefinite thing I've arranged to pick up one for myself

I had an Aeron for almost 2 months, I just returned it for a Steelcase leap v2 and the main differences I see is the breathability and the hard edges. I love to spread my legs and sit really wide and sometimes even cross my legs. I could not do any of these with the Aeron. I was scared to loose back support but they both do an amazing job with the tilt tensions and lumbar tension. As long as a chair has those 2 combinations I feel like you can make any chair work for your back. I do kinda miss the status of having a Herman Miller, but it’s only for my home office so I want to be comfortable and probably get a Herman Miller once I have a work office 👌🏼

And I said the how to was going to be on a follow up video, which I made, and it has 700,000 views...so...and if you think I paid these people, does that include the racist comment up there? And if I paid people, why would my sub count be at only 15,000? Let's use our brains people.
@@Ahnestly For my part, i, actually, watched more of yours videos after than one and it was really better (both in content and form). So kudos for that. I've heard a lot about these Herman Miller chairs, and while they look promising, my one disappointment is that they don't have any models with flip-up arms. I like having arm rests, but I also play guitar at my desk quite a bit, and arm rests get in the way. And I'd rather just have a single chair in my office instead of having to switch chairs just to play guitar.
So I actually bought a new hermin miller chair because they were offering a 25% discount on first responders. It immediately fixed my posture and made me sit straight up. But I do feel a bit of pressure on my legs and butt? Is that the case for anyone? Is that something you get used to? I got a size B so that my wife could sit in it too.
So a few folks have mentioned that. For me, it helps if my legs aren't elevated (although I have a foot rest because sometimes, I just like sitting this way). Also, your feet should be flat on floor with knees at a 90 degree angle. I find in this position, my butt never goes to sleep!
Nice! I don't recommend getting the exact one I got, since it causes a lot of issues with power, but this one from Amazon is near identical to the one I've got. amzn.to/2SXS0Si
I used the Aeron for 8 years give or take at work, It's nice, but honestly it used to mess with my back, I ended up getting a Herman Miller The Aluminium Group Chair, I prefer it much more, but I love their designs regardless, can't get enough of it!!
Interesting...ive always wanted to try this chair but didn't think it would be very comfortable, especially because the back looked low. And in total agreement, love Herman Miller's style. If only I didn't have to sell my children to buy one of their lounge chairs....
Hey, just wanted to say thanks for your great videos. I started down the road of reading about new chairs and finally treating myself to a long overdue upgrade, and found your videos to be a superb asset. My Herman Miller Aeron Remastered is arriving today (after much deliberation with the Embody) and my back couldn't be happier about the news. I see you've been in the RUclips game for only a few years, so just wanted to say that you're doing a great job here with the quality content and presentation. Thanks again.
No I haven't gotten that, but I have had my butt go numb if I'm leaning back. I think the best way to combat what you're talking about is getting a footrest. Check out my mavix review and get a footrest like that!
I just got one fully loaded from 2016 for $379 and it's as clean as new. Not as cheap as some of your finds but I'll take it. Also, I wish I could find a size C but those seem quite rare. There's going to be a lot of nice chairs hitting office liquidation stores with the increases in work from home and layoffs, which is where I got mine.
I’m looking to buy one.. I currently have a size b remastered in my household. When I sit on the size b I find that after a while my legs start hurting, most likely due to there not being enough room between the seat and behind my knees. My legs pretty much touch the front of the seat when i sit all the way back into it. My question is will the size A chair help me with this issue? Is the size A chair seat depth much smaller? I’m 166cm tall and 64kg in body weight.
Hi there, I'm looking to replace my stock herman miller aeron wheels with "rollerblade" type casters . Most importantly, will using these instead of "HM" casters damage the chair in the long term , and will they be smooth on hard floor? material: Polyurethane, Plastic, Steel Thank you!
I have roller blade wheels on my mavix and they work just fine. The casters won't damage the chair bc the legs are built like tanks. They will be smooth, but consider that they may elevate your chair higher than with standard wheels!
I'm tempted to just buy one new for $1,600 plus because I can't find a good one on letgo, offer up, Craigslist, or Facebook marketplace. They're all old and lacking the features and look I want. Should I?
@@Ahnestly oh okay I definitely will! You've been so helpful with my decision. I'm really stuck between the Mirra 2 and aeron. I'm leaning towards the aeron for the historical significance but I think the Mirra is better for me because I sit with my leg under my thigh very often.
Let me know if you come across any more deals! I’ll gladly buy an Aeron from you so you still make a profit. Having a hard time finding anything in my area! Great video!
I went through 4 gaming/office chairs throughout my life and by far, the Aeron is THE KING of chairs hands down. I got my first Aeron for free because earlier this year in June, I found it abandoned on the street. Although it was a fully loaded one and a size C from 1998, it was in very rough shape. The cylinder couldn't hold, the mesh was a little bit frayed, the limiter levers were broken off, the wheels were full of hair, the seat foam was flattened, white paint staining everywhere, and it overall needed a deep clean and restoration. A week later, I fixed most of the problems and when I sat on it for a couple days, I was simply hooked. I then sold it for profit since I had a Razer Iskur at the time and after having experienced the Aeron, I could never look at my Iskur the same way again. Fast forward to today and I sold my Iskur for an Aeron Remastered. I picked it off of OfferUp for $500 and although it doesn't have all the features like the Posturefit and the forward tilt, it feels awesome 👌🏽
This is a great chair. It is easy to sit in for long periods without fatigue but it takes time to get used to it. It kinda forces you to sit right, which isn't normal at first, if you are used to other chairs. Once you stop trying to still in it cross legged or some other contortion, the value of the chair is much appreciated if you work with computers for long periods. The construction is exquisite and hard as nails. The rotation it is perfectly balanced, if you spin the chair the base doesn't wobble and you will be waiting a while for it to come to rest. The coasters are smooth and the chair is very easy to move on the right surface. It even has a handle at the back to move it. You can set the recline level and incline on and off, as well as changing the height. Unlike most other chairs, when reclining the seat pan moves forward a little, very nice. These chairs are worth the money braqnd new but you can pick them up second hand quite cheap. Also, because so many have been made, spares are easy to source. It is a 20th Century icon.
Do you still think that the Aeron is the best chair after you got the Embody? I don’t think so… I have the Logitech G Embody and I love it however, I would still like to get an Aeron as a backup.
Hey I got this chair after watching your video, however facing leg/thigh discomfort after 1 week of sitting (I think due to the uneven stretching of the mesh in the middle and back section. How to deal with that?
I don't know how you're sitting, so I can't tell you what to do to fix it. Your feet should be flat on the floor, not dangling, and I recommend getting a footrest to elevate your legs so you're at a little above 90 degrees
Also, getting a mesh seat is pretty easy to do/find! Try googling it and if you can't find it, reach out to a local HM shop. It'll be the most expensive option, but they might install for you free of charge
I see a lot of "I returned" in several videos, what does Herman Miller do with those chairs? do they sell them as new again? ps: 0:07 I don't recall seeing that lumbar support before
Hello i bought the Aeron Gaming size C and i have some issues with the seating pan. I am 187cm tall and i got around 85kg. The seat gets uncomfortable after 10 to 15 minutes i adjusted everything like it supposed to be. Do you guys have any advice? I am currently managing the return of this chair because of that. I am not having any issues with the upright posture i am used to that. I naturally sit like that and i dont like to sit in weird positions but my buttom gets tired and it feels like the chair pushes my lower body and legs forward. I tested size B as well and i decided to go with size C because of the backrest. The Frame on size B cut into my upper body. Ahn your Videos are Great keep it real💪
@@Ahnestly thank you for the response. The forward tilt is deactivated. It feels like my legs and bottom get compressed pretty heavy. Do you think the seat might be too large? I have a couple of cm left on both sides towards the frame, maybe Thats the reason?
that's really odd. You seem the be the right height and weight for size C (kind of at the cutoff between B and C) or maybe mesh isn't the right fit for you? I also recommend a footrest to everyone!
Hi! I think the principles would work, but don't know if Singapore even has the chairs available - video should be up this weekend, so see if you can use some of the tips!
@@verynearlypure that’s awesome! Glad I pointed you in the right direction. These things are a tank, they last damn near forever! Just double check the hydraulic controls and the mesh when you check em out 👌🏼
@@Triannosaurus So, I picked up a 2003 for $379 that is in remarkable shape. Hopefully I didn't get hosed. It has a couple "frays" on the bottom in which I was originally somewhat concerned about but none of it is sharp and extremeley minimal. I guess I could put duct tape over it in the future if it becomes a concern. I figured its a sound investment and if I like enough I could sell and recoup some/most of my money back and purchase new. Either way I am very grateful for the people in the chair community who have been so helpful. As I sit here and type this my positioning is 1000% more comfortable. I am pleased as is my wallet.
Hey, how does the mineral color hold up? I'm not sure what color to buy, I do have an all white setup and the mineral one would fit perfectly but I'm worried about it getting dirty.
Just bought an aeron and literally watch all your related videos to exert even more pleasure from the purchase. that is really weird but indeed comfortable...
I would choose the Amia from Crandall office, then the Aeron (Crandall office also sells a refurb aeron with 12 year warranty), and then the leap v2! If you decide to pick up, please consider using my link! Helps the channel a lot!!
I find the leap’s back shape to be a little to “huggy” for me. It’s not bad by any means, but I feel like the Amia gives me a lot more freedom to sit how I want inside the chair. The back is a tad flatter, but still really cushy.
@@Ahnestly I'm really thinking of getting a used one for like £300, I've been having upper back pains u think this chair would relive it. Another cheaper option I'm thinking of is the Ikea markus any thoughts on that?
I would never buy a chair from ikea. My recommendation is buy it from a place you can return it if you don’t like it! The aeron has been so good to my back though
I found an Aeron from a seller for $350 with all the adjustments including the Posturefit. He is also selling the Remastered with the Posturefit SL for $450. Do you think the extra $100 for the remastered is worth it?
Remastered with Posture fit for 450 is an outstanding deal. I haven’t sat on a remastered chair, so I don’t know if it’s better, but monetary wise, that is a great deal
i didn't have money for any herman miller lol so i bought the next best thing. an ergohuman chair. i upgraded from a gaming chair that doesn't fit me. the sit depth is too long. honestly, best thing i've bought so far.
Ahnestly so far best I’ve found is 320 for old model refurbed with lumbar support instead of posture fit, and refurb click arm rests replaced from wheels. Not sure how I’m ever gonna find a click arm, posturefit for my goal of 200.
Never...ever go to a chiropractor. Those people are nuts with their beliefs. Just google what they believe in and you will see that "Dr" should be used very loosely.
I stopped watching the moment you said "The new normal." Sorry, but nothing about this situation is "normal" and people need to stop social conditioning others into thinking that it is.
So....right now, companies are investing millions of dollars into infrastructure that allows employs to work remotely (monitoring software, HCD for their applications, video conferencing hardware, VPNs, security, etc). You really think after this is all over, companies are going to go "oh well, let's just throw it all away and everyone come back into the office!" That's what I meant by new normal.
@@Ahnestly companies also dumped billions into paying people hazard pay for a month, and are looking at billions more for unemployment. If you think that a few million dollars is going to impact most corporations when they are going to receive large bailouts anyway then you clearly know nothing about economics.

I see you've been in the RUclips game for only a few years, so just wanted to say that you're doing a great job here with the quality content and presentation. Thanks again.
Hey! I appreciate that a lot!! Thanks and hope you love it!!!!
@@salut9658 It's been great. 11months of use and it's as robust and new-looking as the day I bought it. Recommended.
The chair looks awesome but I'm looking for a chair that also can be used for a standing desk.
Can you recommend any?
Hey Cynthia, there are no chairs like that that I know of. The hydraulic would be ridiculouslyyy long and it would probably be unstable and unsafe.
You can get an aeron with the stool setting. That makes the chair much taller
wouldn't you just stand up?
@@Kphyl true but if I wanted to sit quickly without having to lower the desk a chair like that can come in handy. I found one, the Capisco from Hag
@@cynnidcah makes sense
By any chance, do you feel the remastered aeron cutting off your leg circulation? Apparently it is a thing, do you have any tips on how to fix it?
No I haven't gotten that, but I have had my butt go numb if I'm leaning back. I think the best way to combat what you're talking about is getting a footrest. Check out my mavix review and get a footrest like that!
Do you use orthopaedic foot soles with your flat feet? Just curious as my GF has flat feet as well and has a lot of back pain because of it.
I used to! But not anymore...I did a foot fitting to get a specific orthopedic. It definitely helped with balance!
That's a GREAT find!
Liked and subscribed to help with RUclips algorithm man..
Thank you!!!
It definitely could. I'd recommend sitting in an A before buying one though!
i just got a herman miller aeron classic for $40
Hi there, I'm looking to replace my stock herman miller aeron wheels with "rollerblade" type casters . Most importantly, will using these instead of "HM" casters damage the chair in the long term , and will they be smooth on hard floor?
material: Polyurethane, Plastic, Steel
Thank you!
Should I?
A new one is very very nice! If you decide to do so, please use my link!
@@Ahnestly oh okay I definitely will! You've been so helpful with my decision. I'm really stuck between the Mirra 2 and aeron. I'm leaning towards the aeron for the historical significance but I think the Mirra is better for me because I sit with my leg under my thigh very often.
@ahnestly What is your preference on armrest material and caster type?
Vinyl is fine. Leather is nice, but I don't mind the vinyl at all
Let me know if you come across any more deals! I’ll gladly buy an Aeron from you so you still make a profit. Having a hard time finding anything in my area! Great video!
Haha unless you live in the same area I do, there's no way either of us would save anything. Shipping an Aeron costs hundredsssss of dollars :-(
Need some quick help. I'm 5'8 and 220 so I'm not sure what is a good fit since idk the difference between type c or b
I'd say go with the C man
@@Ahnestly thanks for the response, much love.
i found a near mint aeron for $695 Cad from 2015. That a good price?
I unfortunately don't know what the average price in Canada is :-(
Just got mine. Has a small wobble when I’m sitting up straight. Is that normal?
wobble where? like back front or at the wheels level? it has a slight back and forth wobble
I have flat feet and no bad back but.. I still want this chair. Unfortunately I can't try one before I buy one, just got to take the plunge I guess.
Alright, you've sold me. Gonna go buy an Aeron.
Nice!! If you buy one new and you're in the USA, there's a 15% off sale right now and please consider using my link as it helps this channel a LOT!

best joke i've seen about this chair @ 5:25!
You wanna be like Drake, don't you ;-)
I went through 4 gaming/office chairs throughout my life and by far, the Aeron is THE KING of chairs hands down.
Great thoughts!
Still using the one you found for me
Lol that was a good find!
what size chair do you have?
I've got a size B. I put out another video where I go into detail about the chair and how to get one cheap! Make sure to check it out!
@@Ahnestly have a height adjustable desk, so no dangling. I'm sitting at 90 and even went lower, yet the discomfort :(
By lower, do you mean your knees are slightly elevated?
Also, getting a mesh seat is pretty easy to do/find! Try googling it and if you can't find it, reach out to a local HM shop. It'll be the most expensive option, but they might install for you free of charge
@@Ahnestly Yeah, from reddit was told to sit a bit lower (less angle than 90) to relieve discomfort on the thighs/legs.
I see a lot of "I returned" in several videos, what does Herman Miller do with those chairs? do they sell them as new again?
ps: 0:07 I don't recall seeing that lumbar support before
This is a classic Aeron, not the newer ones. Also, no idea what HM does lol
Hey ahnestly, would love for you to do a mirra 2 review !
I’m trying! Haha really am
@@Ahnestly At this point you can ask for a chair from HM for a review, you bring them a lot of customers
as of now (well some months go) He already has a mirra 2 reviedw
what about the herman miller gaming chair?
Looks dope...and overpriced lol. I'll reach out to Herman Miller and see if they'd be willing to loan it to me!
If you have a “C” version for sale, let me know. Great video!
Great review, how would you compare it to the Herman Miller embody ?
I REALLY wish I could tell you, but I haven't gotten my hands on one and Herman Miller doesn't seem interested in teaming with me...
whats the color of the chair? graphite or satin carbon?
Mine? It's satin carbon
I found a used one for cheap but the bottom mesh is pierced and was replaced with normal foam seats! should I buy it? It's a deal tbh
LOL WHAT?! Are you sure it’s an Aeron?! I would love to see pics - ahntouragemedia@gmail.com
Picked one up today for $100 fully loaded. has a crack in the seat frame but nothing a handful of zip ties can’t fix. So excited about my chair.
It sounds like you have forward tilt on? The chair shouldn’t be forcing you forward
This Is nice
do you mind sharing what floor lamp you are using in the background?
Check out my latest office setup video. I link it there!
Which is better aeron or embody
I haven't tried an Embody, but I think I'd prefer the Aeron due to breathability!
Hi! Would the upcoming tutorial be applicable to getting one in Singapore?
Really appreciate the great content!!
Hi! I think the principles would work, but don't know if Singapore even has the chairs available - video should be up this weekend, so see if you can use some of the tips!
People in HWZ gathered together to help Singaporeans to bring this chair in!
Also looking forwards to get mine too!

I seen the 2005 model for 20 bucks on eBay. the Aeron that is. Should I have bought it or was it a eBay scam? I was about to buy it lol
ebay scam for sure
damn, I just picked mine up for $450 yesterday. I don't regret anything though!
How?
@@verynearlypure kept up to date with craigslist and offer up for a month or so until I found a good deal.
@@Triannosaurus I think I may have found a local batch on FB marketplace just under $400 claiming like new. 👍
How can I get one of those for cheap? I am a short guy and struggle to get a chair that fits me
Stay tuned. Tutorial coming!
Ahnestly ooooh thank you!!! It’s so awesome to have a good quality creator talk to the viewers like that. ;)
Hey, how does the mineral color hold up? I'm not sure what color to buy, I do have an all white setup and the mineral one would fit perfectly but I'm worried about it getting dirty.
As long as you're not dirty when you sit in the chair, it's fine!
Just bought an aeron and literally watch all your related videos to exert even more pleasure from the purchase. that is really weird but indeed comfortable...
The lumbar support is almost inexistent in the posture fit and posture fit sl, which is the most expensive btw.
So better get one without support?
What’s the light on the back.?
I am 6 1/2 inch (184cm) and 190 pounds. Should i go with classic aeron size C?
Yeah you sound like a C. Your height matters more than width
If you had to choose this or the leap v2 from Crandall which would you choose? Thanks!
I would choose the Amia from Crandall office, then the Aeron (Crandall office also sells a refurb aeron with 12 year warranty), and then the leap v2! If you decide to pick up, please consider using my link! Helps the channel a lot!!
@@Ahnestly Thank you! Would you be able to share why you would choose the Amia? Will definitely use your links with Crandall either way!
I find the leap’s back shape to be a little to “huggy” for me. It’s not bad by any means, but I feel like the Amia gives me a lot more freedom to sit how I want inside the chair. The back is a tad flatter, but still really cushy.
Do you use the tilt forward feature?
I personally don't. But it does have benefits on your back
@@Ahnestly What benefits are you referring to? Great videos BTW. (Just started using the feature this week)
Relieves pressure off your back. Many people mention it helps a lot
@@Ahnestly I am personally loving the feature. Your videos are great keep up the good work!
Anyone on RUclips review the Concorde Presidential Chair?
Any tips for finding in the UK
There's a buncha you guys asking! I have no idea...never been to Europe, but maybe you all could link up?
@@Ahnestly Thank you. I ended up purchasing the remastered for $450 and it is basically brand new. I do not regret the purchase at all so far.
Let me know if he has any left haha
You didn’t tell us about its features..
That's because I did a super long detailed breakdown of features and how to get it for cheap in another video!
so where I can buy it for $1050 ?????????????????????????

Never...ever go to a chiropractor. Those people are nuts with their beliefs. Just google what they believe in and you will see that "Dr" should be used very loosely.
It looks cheap(?)
I stopped watching the moment you said "The new normal."
Sorry, but nothing about this situation is "normal" and people need to stop social conditioning others into thinking that it is.
