The tire + trim brought back a plastic valance on my 2010 Mustang GT that was horribly oxidized to it's original look. Nothing else I used worked. This did an amazing job. I'm going to buy the trim clean as well for next time. Amazing products.
Can you use the trim cleaner before the foam cannon? Wouldn't that be better to help remove any leftover residue from the trim cleaner so you have a clean surface to put on a protectant?
After cleaning your trim and/or tires, would you apply the hydro shield ceramic next or the oil-based restorative gel first? Or would you do the hydra shield after using the cleaner and the gel?
I really like this product only thing is when I apply it in morning and it rains in afternoon it runs a little bit so I just wash the truck and the trim still looks good guess my question is what am I doing wrong so that it runs I always use nonsense cleaning the plastic first then apply trim coat
Hi Benjamin! VRP is great for adding a deep finish to interior and exterior vinyl, rubber and plastic or if you are looking for a high gloss finish, use Tire and Trim Gel on exterior rubber and plastic trim that are exposed to harsh elements.
I have a 2021 Highlander. I purchased the Black car care kit. I got some of the butter wax on the black trim. Is this what I need to clean and protect? Or do you offer something better?
Hey! Using a water-based such as VRP is a great way to add protection with a natural gloss or use an oil-based dressing such as Tire and Trim Gel to add a high shine.
Hi Jake! For best results, use Wipe Out to prep the surface. www.chemicalguys.com/wipe-out-surface-cleanser-spray/SPI21416.html?gtmListValue=Internal%20Search
Hey Mark! You can use a product like Total Interior to maintain the look of your suede. You can spray it directly onto a soft microfiber towel and gently wipe down the surface to clean and maintain the finish.
Thank you again for putting these videos together. I have a 77 Corvette and need to know if the polish procedure is different on paint without clear coat.
Hi Brad! That's awesome, we had a '76 Stingray in the Detail Garage not too long ago. It is always best to start with the least aggressive combination as possible. I recommend testing V36 with an Orange Hex-Logic Pad in a small area to determine if this is the correct combination. - CG Nick
@@jayasmrmore3687 That has been considered, however the car is garage kept and climate controlled. It's original paint and I guess it's just my thing. Have a cool day.

Thanks so much for the video guys. Can’t wait to get my hands on the Tire & Trim gel!
Enjoy your detailing products!!
how do you clean and store the foam applicators for the plastic and tires.
Long cycle on the laundry machine.
Hey there! You can wash it by hand with an all purpose cleaner and store it away once it's fully dry.
What would you recommend for plastic or rubber matts that isn't slippery when you step on it
Can I use this on the plastic trike by the windows?
How long of a shine and protective from UV will this provide and for how long in a vehicle parked outside in a driveway?
Funna go pick this up right now at the detail shop in Chula Vista.
Enjoy your detailing products!
I need to try this, looks awesome! 🤤
You're gonna love it!!
Whats the difference between tire and trim gel vs VRP
Tire + Trim gel is a oil based dressing. VRP is a water based dressing
Hey there! Tire + Trim Gel is an oil based dressing where as VRP is a water based dressing.
@@ChemicalGuys so this one is better i got the oil based smh
Will this work for vinyl decals that have sun damage or will that be VRP?
Hey! Try using Butter Wet Wax to restore shine while adding protection from UV rays.
Can you use the trim cleaner before the foam cannon? Wouldn't that be better to help remove any leftover residue from the trim cleaner so you have a clean surface to put on a protectant?
You can use it before or after your wash. 😃
After cleaning your trim and/or tires, would you apply the hydro shield ceramic next or the oil-based restorative gel first? Or would you do the hydra shield after using the cleaner and the gel?
Hi Matt! Apply HydroShield to a bare surface, then it can be layered with your favorite dressing.
@@ChemicalGuys Thank you.

Hi Michael! After applying your favorite dressing allow a moment for it to bond before wiping off excess to prevent streaks and runs.
is the tire and trim stuff a replacement for the VRP?
Hi Benjamin! VRP is great for adding a deep finish to interior and exterior vinyl, rubber and plastic or if you are looking for a high gloss finish, use Tire and Trim Gel on exterior rubber and plastic trim that are exposed to harsh elements.

Hey Bill! Use Trim Clean to remove polish and wax residue from trim.
Could you use ALL CLEAN instead of the Trim Clean?
Hey Susan! All Clean+ is great for removing old dressings, oils and grime to thoroughly clean trim.

I have the other one it’s a white color like toothpaste is it the same?
Hey! Using a water-based such as VRP is a great way to add protection with a natural gloss or use an oil-based dressing such as Tire and Trim Gel to add a high shine.
What happens if the wax and oil remover gets on the paint?
Hi Jay! It is perfectly fine, Trim Clean will wipe right off.
@@ChemicalGuys but won’t it strip the wax?
Does this remove tire cleaner stains
Absolutely!
I use the old boar hair brush and apply then wipe off evenly but I will order half dozen of those applicators
Happy detailing!
What if you don't want it to be glossy?
Try VRP, water based dressing so it's not as shiny but like he mentions don't go overboard with it.
@@xHeyLouis right on thanks
You can also use a water based dressing like Natural Shine which leaves a clean new OEM look.
You can dilute it or use less
Another good video! Thumbs up
Thanks for the visit!
Will this product work on paint as a paint prep after polishing?
Hi Jake! For best results, use Wipe Out to prep the surface.

I bought a 2020 Charger GT and it has Carmel Suede in the middle of the seat what is best to maintain it

@@ChemicalGuys Thank you. I'll do it.
Why don’t you add clearcoat to your corvette otherwise things like rain and intense heat will begin to rust it

After using this product, can you apply ceramic coating safely?
Hey! Trim Clean will prep the piece for coating.
Would you recommend the gel and then clean with trim clean ...then apply the ceramic coating ..or recommend a different product all together?
Wouldn't Nonsense work like the trim clean?
Nonsense is a great choice for cleaning rubber and plastic trim.
How often should you use this on the trim? Will it last months/years?
Hey Jonathan! Use Tire and Trim Gel as often as desired or at least once every couple of months to maintain durability.
I really need this gel tho asap
You're gonna love Tire and Trim Gel!!
