- London’s incredible diversity is showcased in this latest episode of Dining on a Dime, where host Lucas Peterson samples a cuisine he hasn’t had much experience with: Brazilian food. In south London at the Brixton market, a big outdoor market and indoor arcade in one of the English capital’s most diverse neighborhoods, you can find Carioca, a restaurant that serves traditional Brazilian dishes as well as some influenced by British cuisine.
Eater is the one-stop-shop for food and restaurant obsessives across the country. With features, explainers, animations, recipes, and more - it’s the most indulgent food content around. So get hungry.

so pleased you have brought dining on a dime to my home city of London! I do hope you're enjoying yourself. Love the teeth you did with the orange... I am going to have to borrow that :D
Lucas Peterson #freethenipple!
My first ever comment on RUclips but I am so excited that you're London! Love the show!
hands down the best food host...NEED MORE LUCAS
The accent of the waitress. Damn! I will go there just for her.
mangols12 i know right! She was such a cutie :)
a dangerous combo of Brazilian and British accent it just oozes sexiness.
@@solidkingcobra She's not Brazilian, I think. Brazilians have no problem pronouncing the Z sound. I think she's from a spanish speaking country.
Yes!!! CAIPIRINHA...i soooo miss Brazil....so laid back...and their beaches...this drink reminds me of a mojito with a fruity twist......the Cuban in me loves this
This is how all eater host should be. knowledgable, articulate and allowing me to live vicariously through them. Lucas a solid 5/7!
J.B. 5/7??
The orange peel bit is a classic Vito Corleone. Lucas is the godfather. Well done. 👍
Lucas+Samba tunes+Brazilian food+London+AWESOME! Another great job Lucas!!!

i love feijoada, caipirinha, açaí and everything that u tried ❤🇧🇷 kisses from brazil
lucas you entertain me every second of the video. thank you for that.
You are the best Lucas, the real deal. Keep up the excellent work. 😎
I miss how you used to talk about the place and the food before you got there. It just feels like something is missing from the newest vids. I still love you though
Unfortunately driving and parking in London wasn't in the cards for this season. Stay tuned for a return to format in the future.
Thanks for the reply!
Eater There's a special art to driving in London. The key is to park in one of the outer boroughs, and take the tube in to the centre! Haha
Believe it or not, this is the first video I've seen on RUclips that features what I would actually call typical Brazilian food. No wonder, since the owner and server are also Brazilian, so they know what they're talking about.
React, Buzzfeed and etc, usually bring snacks or very unusual/regional stuff which aren't as "universal" as feijoada, coxinha, cassava fries and caipirinha. But I guess it's not their fault, Brazil is huge and each region has their own (very different) culture.
Iuri Chiba I'm not sure if she is Brazilian, see the way she says cachaça.
Yeah, I've noticed this as well. She said it like a spanish speaker.
Y Garcia "braCilian run"
Most fucking definitely not brazilian.
Yup, she doesn't sound brazilian at all, even considering the multitude of accents we have round here.
All that food is starting to get to Lucas.
I love watching you .miss you in the USA.will be watching all of your vedios.ty
Lucas is one of the very few hosts that just go and use his bare hands when eating. Damn, you do love your food
I enjoyed your video :) Keep it up!
He should try the "rodizio"which is a traditional brazilian barbecue style that is known around the world. And the most of the best meat that we eat is seasoned only with grained salt. But still good to see review about brazilian food. Cheers
that last bit cracked me up x'D
Love your channel...safe travels! Come to MN sometime :)
The staff there seem pretty awesome.
The orange peel at the end! Classic!! 👌😂
Lucas is best ^^
Rock on Lucas!
Lucas is the best food host ever....

may someday u can come to eat in Indonesia lucas,,,, many kind and best tasy food in Indonesia....
This video just actually made me getting up from my bed at 2am and giving me such hunger that i proceed to cooks my premade rotisserie chicken
it was bland af but worth it
caipirinhas are delicious! (and if you are ever in the need of one, and can't find the ever-elusive brazilian white rum-like fermented cane cachaça, you can substitute it with Vodka, and make *Caipiroshkas* )
Meu país! Mas se viesse pra cá, te mostraria de norte a sul os mais saborosos pratos típicos e lugares paradisíacos!
Lucas 😍
Can we get a track list of this episode?
At this point Lucas could just create a Cult being so much popular xD I'm not even mad, I'd being joining xD
Whoa, Eater removed the last two Cult Following videos (the Feltman hotdogs and the sushi videos). They were getting a lot of hate, and understandably so. Such a stark contrast in terms of detail and focus on the food compared to the other hosts' videos. Still surprised that Eater decided to unlist those videos. I got a good laugh out of them.
stratATK yay
damn really? eater, just have some balls and leave them up... the hot dog one is getting me chuckling here just thinking about it.
stratATK why did they remove them? I ddnt get to see them.
I think it was hurting their reputation. The videos are still there, but are unlisted. Here are links to the videos they removed:

You're in London?! You have to go to Burger and Lobster, it's a bit pricey but the food is phenomenal
Lucas go to Shanghai, Beijing, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Tokyo, can't wait
Brazilian chicks man... seriously. It's unfair how pretty they are.
that accent too. It's like British/Brazilian accent. crazy sexy.
Lucas on that bench press grind
Bem diferente do Brasil raiz, conheça o Brasil no Brasil meu amigo.
LUCAS GOAT
Nice smile! :)

Eatin good Lucas? because it's showing :o
Fuck for the first time people get the music right.
Rice and beans, we eat it everyday here in Brazil. EVERYDAY. Hahaha.

Is Clara from Brazil?
According to the crew, they believe they remember her saying she was from Spain.
Española, very hot then!
damn, lucas is one weird kid.... totally digging it
Thank you for eating your chicken wings like that!
👍🍻
I don't hate Lucas but I do wish he smiled more as a food presenter.
It's why we gave him the orange wedge.
as a brazilian, im like WTF that does not look like real brazilian food
As a brazilian, it's strange to see "my food" on that kind of show. haha
Açaí is commonly eaten in the north, along fish, shrimp and tapioca. It's a heavy lunch. Just in southeast we eat açaí as fitness food, or breakfast, with granola, etc.
U need to eat pão de queijo (cheese bread, made with tapioca flour, not wheat), tropeiro (beans with pork and cassava flour), and acarajé (bean dumplings stuffed with lots of love and shrimp :P).
André Coelho best comment!
If you're in London go to Max's Sandwich Shop
I first checked the comments for nipple jokes and I'm not disappointed. lol
I bet you were a hilarious cousin to babysit for. Too funny.
i wanna know more about that first brazilian waitress, my days
It's a pity now that they're permanantly closed.
good ending lol
words like picanha have the a with a tilde over it, its like a nasal way of pronouncing the letter "a" that is tricky.
Bit nippy out is it Lucas
It's not "Pacanha", it's called Picanha! hahahhaha! cheers from Brazil :)
tesbn tuyet v ngon thank
Bring back KAT and the sushi showwwwww
3:34 Picanha! P-I-C-A-N-H-A. :)
OMG the farofa goes on the feijoada!! you are doing it wrong!!
Ate at this joint, not much to say. was ok.
Carioca doesn't actually mean "related to Rio". It means "White man's house", this is how the natives called the Portuguese settlers. It eventually turned into a denonym for people who come from Rio de Janeiro.
Also, the food looks nothing like what we have in Brazil, specially the barbecue. And both workers at the restaurant speak portuguese with the weirdest accent.
What he did with the orange.. hahahahahah
Noooooo, cachaça is not rum. The process has difference between them. hahahah The Dining on a Dime should come to Brazil… just saying, heheheheh :)
Do a full episode with the peel in mouth
You said woody.
Lucas, are you cold? Lol
Do this on your first date. 5:30
guns of brixton
that waitress :D
Clara is hot! And that accent is lovely.
Was this really for a "dime"?
THIS IS PICANHA!!!
i ship the waitress with lucas~
Lucas gotta hit the gym with all the food he eating
That’s what happens when you give Lucas alcohol. Keep it up!
hahaha...
>50% of the viewers will try that trick!
Love ya Lucas.....but that shirt is doing you no favors.
not 1st
you are wrong, coxinhas are far from croquette, barbacue is not from Rio but originally from south of Brasil. Poor research before making the video
The lady is so hot, her voice.
Why does everybody in this restaurant have a Spanish accent? Here's a tip if you're looking for authenticity: no Brazilian will ever say "Brassil". Are there any Brazilians in this restaurant?
Also, I've never seen anything remotely resembling this "platter" thing. You don't eat cochinhas with a meal. It's a snack. Also, the Feijoada looks bizarre. It's the wrong kind of greens.
No justice to Brazilian BBQ. You need to go to Fogo de Chao.
