Which cataract lens option are you leaning toward? What matters most to you when choosing a lens: clear distance vision, reading without glasses, or something else? Share your thoughts below!
He should mention a lot of people will mix the lens for each eye. I had the Panoptic in one eye and the Vivity in my other eye. I do need reading glasses for very small print but my far and middle vision is perfect. Without night time halos.
I had cataract surgery with torric lenses put in in 2019. Now on my last check up in December a significant stigmatism is developing and by next year I will need glasses again.
Have been looking at the Odyssey toric.I am 81yo and have healthy eyes but have pseudo exfoliation which my optician thinks my be a problem for the surgeon.Have slight a astigmatisms.Any thoughts??
Not too familiar with the Galaxy lens as it’s not yet available in the US. It looks like they just started the FDA trials in the last couple months here. Could be an exciting option in the future!
Does having a partial vitreous detachment cause a problem for lens replacement? Was thinking Vivity or Puresee Toric in both eyes with a slightly adjusted left non dominant for close up improvement? Otherwise an Odyssey Toric in my left and one of those other lenses in my right dominant eye. I work as a night-time truck driver. How much loss of contrast between full range lens and EDOF lenses? Have no surgeons where I live at the moment. Supposedly one coming in February. Don't know what they might be willing to do either.
Most of the time an uncomplicated PVD doesn’t have too much impact on lens choice. Rarely if there is significant vitreous opacities or floaters then they can reduce contrast. This is something you have to consider when choosing a lens like a multifocal or EDOF lens which can further decrease the contrast sensitivity.
