Congratulations! I started going to my dad’s allotment with him and helping him out in the first lockdown after my mum passed away. It was my dad that told me about your channel and would say things like ‘have you seen Jessie has started her … seeds’ and next time we met up he would have started his too. The door to our brassica house is based on the design for the door on your poly house! When he sadly passed away last year, he had been on the allotment for 16 years. I have continued with the plot on my own. It really is a love that gets passed down the family! All the best
The serendipity of your parents wandering onto an allotment 35 years ago is truly our good fortune. Wonderful episode about the history of plot 37. Thank you! ❤
Fascinating, funny and a fitting tribute to Mom… heroine of The Plot…over the entire history of 37 and 36A…Plots….Amazing👌👌👏…Absolutely loved every bit of the ‘interview’… and thanks to ‘Dad’s photographs too oroviding some brilliant visuals from various stages of the plots evolution …Think that whole thing is a very significant historical record of the ‘Allotment Movement in this Country…( And I am Really Serious, when I say that … You Two Allotmenteers👍👍)…Loved the fitted carpet walkways!!!…and why not 😳😃!!!Your dad/ husband( who looked like a trendy type back in the day…)and Mom was very elegant too….Don’t know about that little copper headed little ‘person’ though!!?….looks like a bit of a ‘handful’ tome 😱😳???. History of the the Girlies was lovely too ..particularly the gigantic red one….and Moms devotion to them before she ‘twigged’ they went to bed on their own 🤣🤣….Wonderful celebration altogether with the Champers!!…even though some memories were lost in the ‘mists’ of time…until photos jogged the memories…Then the lights went Out!? 😳….Here’s to the next 200 Folks and Thank you so Very Much for continually producing the brilliant PLOT 37 episodes.. which have always been THE BEST … 🏅🥇🏆❤️….P.S… noticed that ‘Lil’ positioned herself prominently behind you …as if we would forget Her !!!👏👏👏🐈…Sue (Bham..still a big and faithful fan )
OH MY GOODNESS!!! Jessie!!! You are second generation entertainment ROYALTY!!!🤩🤩🤩 You truly came by it honestly!!! That really is awesome! 👏 Great interview with Mum and all! Great 200th episode!
Bloomin' fantastic special, ladies. Loved every minute of it! Thank you. Oh my gosh. You look so much like your mum did in her earlier photos. Amazing! Congratulations on your 200th. Happy gardening 😃
Fantastically interesting, thank you Jessie and Mum (and Colin)! Um I am one of those people who still has carpet paths on their plot, and now I feel like a proper throwback.... Love and mojo!
Gardening and history - my husband and I are rewatching this video (3rd time) tonight because it reminds us of our parents gardening styles from childhood. 😂 Thanks Mom for helping tell the plot story! ❤ Thank you to anyone who helped save pictures! 😊
Congratulations! I enjoyed hearing the history of your plot and the early photos were great. Your mom is such a hard working woman. Think how many hundreds (thousands?) of hours she has spent gardening, weeding, planting, digging, etc. on that plot!!
I love the carpet 😂 In our new house we were digging out in a back corner. Ran into a whole roll of carpet. And under it was a pair of fishing waders. I had a total panic for a minute thinking I’d dug up a body 🤣
Lovely to see your mum so animated. She has really improved since her op. She's far more relaxed and smiley. You do have an excellent relationship. The sally into the past of the allotment was really fascinating. It changed a lot over the years. I'd love to have more growing space, I only have one raised bed and a couple of small patches. I love all your videos, including potty mouth...well done you! 🌺
Ohh, thank you!!! Mum and Jessie, for all the great advices, laughs and joy you both are to everyone and me. Especially with such an episode. Congratulations. Loved the photos, what an amazing treat. All the best!!!!!! Saskia
I don’t normally comment as you cover everything and I don’t need to ask anything but………… What a wonderful track back in time and to see how it has evolved. Thank you for sharing ❤
Many Congratulations Jessie on your 200th🎉 it’s been a pleasure watching your vlogs from the beginning. This weeks episode was so interesting with you and Mom talking about the early days and on to the plot as we know it now. Loved every minute and thanks so much for sharing with everyone. Hers to the next 200 👩🌾
Just watching this now and yup, can confirm we must have every carpet change of the previous plot holder from the 1970's onwards. It's a nightmare. I've only got a 1 litre car so trying to get rid of it properly is a nightmare. We also found loads of that horrible shredded weed matting we all have so much, paint cans, car sunscreens and cracked and broken plastic used among many other horrors that I don't want. I keep getting told to ignore it or burn it, neither of which is acceptable to me. Unfortunately I bought a load of heavy duty weed matting which promised that it didn't agree but guess what...... It was lovely to hear he history of your plot. I hope that one day my currently tarpaulin covered plot is as nice as yours. Keep up the good work and great vlogs
What a great video , your mum is a star . It does highlight the importance of taking pictures while doing an allotment, because otherwise these moments are lost forever, which is a shame when that happens
Wow 35 years there. That is great. I would love to see some of the neighbors who have been neighbor allotments there since the 70s. What fun stories from the different decades and different trends of the times, like the carpet. I like your reasoning for starting the Instagram. I can write in my diary calendar, but I've learned I'm terrible at placing a name spike by the seed. Take care
Wow thank you Colin those are such cherished pictures to see. Such a lovely story to hear ❤. Looking forward to the next 200 ladies. Stay safe and keep warm, Ali 🥶🇨🇦
The first episode I saw was you building your polyhouse, Ep 34? I was hooked! Then I went back and watched all of the previous vlogs. It was heaven. You guys have come a long way. All the best!
Congratulations on 200 episodes. Loved seeing that walk through memory lane, photos of the changing plot and seeing you and your mum younger. And your dad on TV!! Wow what a colourful history plot 37 has (and I don't just mean your dad's shirt!) Such a lovely episode. Cheers 🥂
Wow, I can't tell you how much I enjoyed that video. It was lovely to hear you both talking about your memories. Thanks so much for sharing your content every single week. You're well and truly part of my routine now.
Really enjoyed this episode Jessie, how wonderful to be carrying the tradition. I can see where you get all your skill of growing & building from. Congratulations to you & Mum and Cheers🥂
I really enjoyed watching how the allotment has evolved over the years, you've got great memories to look back on. Thanks for taking us on your allotment journey. I've watched every week and have learnt so much from you. Look forward to the next 200 episodes. Thank you 😊
I found you when you had about 1100-1200 subs, I remember you didn’t have enough subs to make $. It was in the autumn, I do remember that. I’m incredibly amazed at all your knowledge and ability. Now I know where you got your carpentry skills. This was one of the most awesome videos you have made. Thanks Jessie🥰Pammyjill Florida 🇺🇸
Absolutely loved listening to you and your mum telling us about your mum and dads journey, my gosh the allotment was very smart, your dads raised beds and cages he made, very neatly put together layout design great too! I bet your mum and dad’s plot was a talking point between other plot holders back then ha!! Just perfect! Cheers to the next 200 vlogs😅 🎉🥂🍾
Its council land, all allotments around here are. You can find private ones but they are very very expensive and no guarantee how long you will have them!
Congratulations! For those of us who have followed all 200 episodes from the very beginning, it's a real gift to see this video and learn about the history of your site. Papa Sheffield looks like a real cool 90s dude in that BBC film with his jazzy earing and shirt, he looks a lot of fun. I see where you get your woodworking proficiency from. I really appreciate seeing all the old photographs and the evolution of your growing space. The plot has been such an integral part of your family and your life. Is it safe to say the allotment is home? It's for sure become an integral part of my Tuesday nights 😂 What's in store for the next 200 episodes? Short and long term plans? I'm so excited for what's to come :)
So nostalgic to see you as a child with your mom and that you are still so close. I found your channel just after you started and you helped me through a tough time in my life. I am following you still. You remind me of my own daughter but sadly she lives in Canada so we cant spend the time together that you have with your mom. I was growing in a small garden and just got my first allotment a week ago which is just in time for my retirement next month. Wishing you and your mom continued good health and I hope you keep the channel going. I will be following along each week and continuing to learn from you. PS I hope a tv station discovers you soon you are just lovely and a pleasure to watch. When I am down you lift my soul. Thank you Jessie from Ireland
I love the thought of the "legacy plot". Especially in a world where owning property is becoming more and more difficult. At least in this way people can fulfill their need to leave their imprint, a part of themselves, on the land. Even if it's only for a short while. Not the centuries of the "nobility" 😉 That was a beautiful history, well told. Thank you, and your mom, for sharing ❤
Loved seeing the history of the allotment. What really struck me was one of the pictures showing you and your mum working at one of the beds. I actually thought your mum was you until I saw you in the picture. Your profiles are exactly alike.
Wow Jess that makes you .... yo, that is a surprise as I thought you would be early 20's. I could not place the age I thought you were and the polystyrene trays age (I had those as well) but assumed they were from your mums. Great history lesson, love your videos and you and mums activities, what a wonderful family legacy. Good point about the location of the current shed and walking through the plot on arrival.
Apologies….im so far behind! I’ve missed loads of your vids ( sorry) CONGRATULATIONS on number 200! Was lovely hearing & seeing the history of plot 37. You obviously got your building skills from your dad. Here’s to the next 200……cheers Jessie & mum ( Kathy) 🥂🍾 xx
Congrats!!!❤ I love you and your mom and the wonderful accomplishment with the allotment! That’s truly dedication and seeing your dad was very special also. ❤🎉❤🎉❤
Really wonderful memories that you have all created over the years and they will be a treasure in the years to come 💚 thanks so much for letting us share in them 🥂
What an interesting interview with your mom. I missed alot of your vlogs. I have put on my notification bell. Lovely vlog. I really admire your mom. Felicity Jacobs, Cape Town, South Africa
I enjoyed this so much it was interesting to see the changes over the years .Loved seeing the building of the fruit cage mThose chickens were so pretty .
Loved the 200th episode, it was lovely to hear the family history of your plot and seeing you as a child at the allotment well that was priceless. Your mum is an inspiration ❤
Congratulations on your 200 blog I am the same I helped my mum on the allotment that I currently do have now could my mum passed 15 years ago And it has changed a lot but not as lucky as you know photos and we've been on the allotment for 52 years 🎉
This is the greatest episode ever! Love your family background and the info about The allotment is particularly interesting to me in California as I had no idea how that system works. How great that you have had it for so long. Love your point that you can keep it if you move house and it 9:40 allows you to have much more space then would be affordable with a house on it. Keep on growing! Love your channel.
Well done Jess that was so interesting. Made me think at what we have done in that time. Having lived in london for 39 years we moved to rural Herefordshire and shared a 40 acre farm. Keeping sheep, goats, poultry and cattle and growing in a 2 acre wall garden. A slight move up from our 180 foot suburban garden, although we did have chickens and 2 dairy goats! After 11 yrs we moved next door onto our own 10 acre smallholding where we still are after 23 years.
Congratulations on 200 episodes. What a lovely trip down memory lane. It's amazing the things you learn from your parents when you sit down and chat to them about the past.
Really really loved this story and Jess what an amazing tv presenter you would make you should try for gardeners world I think you would be fantastic. You are like your mum when she was young and what a sweet little girl you were. Your dad was groovy🤣🤣🤣🤣so what does the future hold😮?????
Just stumbled onto your channel. New to allotment gardening. Guess what plot number I have inherited from my local council - 37!! Great knowing the history of your plot. Now I know why I dug up so much carper from my plot 😂 Looking forward to some great tips as I embark on this journey 😊
What a cracking episode! Very interesting to watch the evolution of your allotment. You are very lucky to share the plot, the memories and love of gardening with your Mum. Congratulations on 200 episodes 🥂
Ah what a lovely video. Thanks for sharing - I feel like I know your mum a bit better now. ❤ Your reflections about allotments not actually being as transient as we think made me tearful. I’ve moved house so many times in the last 10 years and the garden is always the thing I am saddest to leave behind. Now I have an allotment I feel a permanency that others don’t understand - thanks for validating that. Love to you and yours. Xxx
Jessie, this video is wonderful. It’s really beautiful to see the fruits of you and your families labour over the years. I look forward to keeping my plot for many many more years and this has inspired me to keep a better record and photos to look back on! Thank you for your wonderful videos and congratulations on your 200th edition! ❤🎉
What a great video! 200 brilliant videos! Amazing! ❤I took over my dad’s plot of 20 years recently and I’d love to think maybe my kids might do the same one day!
Such a great watch learning the history of such a loved plot! Also a great reminder that good things take time! I often get on myself about not having my one year old garden looking and performing like the dream in my head, patience grasshopper, patience :)
I so enjoyed this episode, as I have wondered about your Mom, and her history with the plot. Side note-You are her mini me! I was shocked at how much you resemble her in her earlier years at the plot. Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing the plot!
What an interesting history and documentation of the changes in gardening methods over the decades! And look at all YOU learned too! LOL Great episode, so thank you! And congratulations on your 200 episodes.
Hi Jessie and your Mum, Congratulations on your 200th Anniversary 🎉🍾🎊 what wonderful memories of your plot for you both! Lots of detail in those memories for your Mum to look back on and your Dad being on the telly, too! Jessie, you found out about what happened to the cherry tree, too! Thank you so much for sharing. It was so lovely to be part of your memories❤ take care 😊
Great to walk down Memory Lane or in your case Memory Allotment - loved all the transitions and the sketches, well done Jessie and Mum - lots of memories x
Jessie this was just lovely. I've watched it all in one sitting with a coffee and a cheeky doughnut! Lovely to see those old pictures and hear your mum's stories. You've really made me think about the allotment being a permanent space as well. I'd love to think that wherever we are in 'x' years time we'll still be able to enjoy going to visit! I look forward to your 300th!
Congratulations on both your achievements, reaching 200 episodes and 35 years of the family owning the plots. Great history and excellent vlog. Lovely to see how it changed and developed over years and video of your mum and dad all those years ago. A big cheers to you all and to the next milestone. ❤❤
richmond park in london?? omg i used to be a nanny in 1996-1997 right at the north border of that park 5 minutes by bike... it was always magical for me... with the elf/dear....
That was a wonderful view into the past. I will try to remember to take more photos of my garden and post to instagram. I'd never thought about using that as a memory. Here's to the next 200 videos!!!!!!!!! I'll be watching them all. 😀
Fascinating history and photos of the plot throughout the years Jessie! You and your family must be proud how it's evolved. The very first episode on RUclips I watched was when you had discovered vandals had stabbed holes in the polytunnel. It seems the repairs have held well over the three years! Cheers!
Congratulations! I started going to my dad’s allotment with him and helping him out in the first lockdown after my mum passed away. It was my dad that told me about your channel and would say things like ‘have you seen Jessie has started her … seeds’ and next time we met up he would have started his too. What a great record of the allotment's life! Your mum is so interesting! Happy 200th - watched every one!

🎉 fantastic 👍 lovely to see how it has grown and matured into a natural ecosystem that it is now. Good for the soil and the soul. Well done! 💯💯
I love the carpet 😂 In our new house we were digging out in a back corner. Ran into a whole roll of carpet. And under it was a pair of fishing waders. I had a total panic for a minute thinking I’d dug up a body 🤣
Wow!-you are the spitting image of your Mom when she was younger. Is she Australian? ( never heard her talk for long before)
I wondered the same thing
Me too. I was surprised to hear an Australian or New Zealand accent. Bless your Mum Jessie she’s a real trooper. Congratulations on 200 🎉🎉🎉
Congratulations, Jessie and mum, what an achievement and what a joy every Tuesday. Thank you so much.
Saskia

Hi from Scotland hi congratulations on you 200 well done your wee mum looks amazing cheers till next time anne from Scotland
Happy 200th Jessie. Great video, great life! So happy to be a small part of it. 🥰
Just stumbled onto your channel. New to allotment gardening. Guess what plot number I have inherited from my local council - 37!!
Great knowing the history of your plot. Now I know why I dug up so much carper from my plot 😂
Looking forward to some great tips as I embark on this journey 😊
Brilliant episode.....great to see the archive footage!!
Wow you’re so like your mum. Thanks for sharing.
Your reflections about allotments not actually being as transient as we think made me tearful. I’ve moved house so many times in the last 10 years and the garden is always the thing I am saddest to leave behind. Now I have an allotment I feel a permanency that others don’t understand - thanks for validating that. Love to you and yours. Xxx
Oh this was a fascinating video. To think you have all been on the plot for 35 years this year...wow! So lovely to hear mums account of things
Fab look back.....what a history.
Aww that was lovely to watch. Your plot is beautiful & I enjoyed seeing you back then! Great channel ❤❤
Congratulations, on You Jessie, and your mum and Dad, for plot37
Great look at times gone bye the allotment has been so productive through the years and still going strong
What a joy, here's to the next 200.
That was an absolute joy to watch. Thank you for sharing.
I loved watching the evolution of Plot 37. Thank you for sharing. CHEERS!
richmond park in london?? omg i used to be a nanny in 1996-1997 right at the north border of that park 5 minutes by bike... it was always magical for me... with the elf/dear....
That was Amazingly cool to see the photos and hear about the history of Blot 37 & 36b.
Cheers!
