- Tonight we will go though Bluetti's PS72 powerstation and compare it in detail to the existing EB70S model.
The Bluetti PS72 is an eBay and Walmart exclusive, so it isn't on Bluetti's site. It can be found here:

I always enjoy watching your reviews. Appreciate your attention to detail. Thank you.
Thanks dude. You should make more videos. Your videos are always full of useful info.
I just wanted to say thank you! Very nice review and good job clearing up my confusion about this product.
Great video! Really great video you got to subscribe for me. I came here thinking you're just going to do a simple overview but having a technical tools for each port is amazing!. I've seen a lot of technical videos but you are the first I've ever seen measure the wireless charging is always something that's overlooked by others. Keep up the good work
Thank you very much Jeff for doing the work and confirming what I suspected: The PS72 is essentially the EB70S with some modest updates. I bought one 5 minutes ago because of your video and I of $289 + tax which is much less than I paid for my EB70S. It’s an extra power station for me in case of emergency but it’s a very useful device for powering fans, refrigerator, led lights etc. Very happy with the purchase and thankful for your hard work. Take care.
I didn't realize the brick was converting ac to dc input! Thank you!!
Hi Both, 👋👋 you make an amazing double act. 👥 Very well presented and put together, nicely done. (as always)
😊👍
Really good video! Thank you!
Great review. Thank you 😊
really informative vid. thanks.
Great review. Thanks!
I love that the AC inputs are not on top of each other! Will be picking one up, even though I do not like the brick charger or the display of the battery in 5 segments, but for this price I can deal with those things!
Jeff, I just subscribed sir. Great content.
Yes!!… Bluetti FINALLY fixed the switches on the EB70(S), via an updated model.
I have two EB70’s and have always hated the switches for obvious reasons. However, because of its size, the EB70 is my go to SoGen, and I have most models from EB3A to AC200P.
You should have ran a sustained load test at 800w on the PS72.
Those older style lights are useful in a blackout as you can lay the unit on its back and the light will illuminate an entire room via indirect lighting, while still having full access to its outputs and displays.
Great review, as of 11-16-2023 Walmart has it on sale for $269 with extra $15 discount when checked out so final price is $254 which is a really good deal. I have EB70 for 2 years now and very happy with it, I'm now thinking about getting this PS72.
I purchased 2 of them, both defective units.
Excellent breakdown. Thank you. I purchased the PS72 with current 20% Ebay promotion. Good value at $255.
Awesome! Right now it's $298 after the 20% coupon. Was there an even bigger promo around labor day?
No they raised the regular price on the PS72 from $319 to $373 the day after I purchased. I guess they did not want to sell it for that cheap. :)
Very very good and useful! Thank you :-)
What a great comparison! Thank you! I have been searching for a side by side, you may be the only one who has done it. Very grateful! I have a very novice question, my apologies. When you say it is not a UPS, does that imply you can not power through it? ie., power some devices while charging the unit (while driving)? I plan to use this camping. Thanks again!
Very informative.
I picked up the PS72 from Walmart less than a month ago for $359 (it also came with a cool carrying case). It's now down to $311. I know it has some shortcomings but I only had a EB3A before this one so I was able to almost triple the amount of time with the PS72 (and I can use the same solar panels). For $311, seems like kind of a no brainer. Thanks for the great review Jeff!
311....... what in the world is wrong with Denmark and it's prices....
I just bought one from Walmart for $283 before taxes and $301 after.
Lol Blurry that’s funny, Jeff. 😂 so this PS72 essentially seems like a refreshed EB70s but cheaper. That’s good in my opinion!
thank you Jeff!
Thank you!
Glad to know Blurry was unharmed in the making of this video.
Great/Best review!!! On eBay now for $269.
Just picked one up from Walmart , great unit and well priced. I also sent an email to Bluetti questioning why this model is not on their website and how do I register for a two year warranty. They replied that no need to register it and if warranty is needed, to send them an email.
Good enough for me.
Nicely done again my friend! But be careful.. I saw Mr. Blurry mean-mugging you a few times.. Might want to get that samurai sword away from him
I noticed on the Walmart there is also a PS54 for $249 with specs similar to an EB55. That’s $200 less than I paid for my EB55 2 years ago. It works great and I suspect the PS54 would perform well also.
THANKS!! Really fantastic and detailed review. I am curious about the "USB mode" you mentioned (neither have?)... are there other Bluetti models that enable USB mode? Perhaps I'm misunderstanding the USB mode, but I assume you mean USB power can be consumed by devices while the Bluetti itself is being charged?
Interesting. The European version of the EB70 has a 1000 watt inverter. Walmart's price for the PS72 is certainly much better than Bluetti's price for the EB70S. The EB70 was my first Bluetti product and i still use mine often. Bluetti should just drop the EB3A display board with bluetooth into the EB70S (let's now call it the AC70!) and re calibrate for the larger battery capacity. Great review! I hope that Bluetti comes up with another product to test your talents. It is interesting that Bluetti has announced the AC60P (with a 500 watt-hr battery) and the AC180P (with a 1432 watt-hr battery) that have orange highlights coming up on August 22. Very strange, they should have just had those to begin with;)
Yes just like Asia it's 230V and 1000W but Americans are stuck with their 110VAC . That's why.
Im wondering if my Bluetti EB3A constant over-Temp issue can be cleared the way you cleared and error on the PS72? Once i get the Temp icon i have to wait upwards of an hour before i can start charging with the AC again... a real pain.
does the fan on the charging adapter block of the PS72 come on when just plugged into the outlet?
Curious to know if the PS72 external connectors are closer to the internal conversion parts than in the EB70S 😅
Interesting as well, on the Walmart page, It says 800w even though it is clearly stamped on the front of the device that it's 700w. Here's what the title is from their page: BLUETTI PS72 800W Portable Power Station, 716Wh LiFePO4 Power Station, Best Solar Generator for Home Backup, Off-Grid Living, Camping
Pretty much a rebranded launch of the EB70 and EB55, at least the price is lower than the other older options.
Yeah, they made a couple of tiny improvements also. Not a big deal on the changes, but it’s nice that they put something into it.
Great video man. please work on your thumbnail game, i was so close to skipping past, but i am so so glad i didn't. Keep up the good work :)
I have a question about something you (or your friend Blurry) can probably speak to as an expert.... having tested both of these Bluetti models, how loud are their fans? any difference? any louder/more annoying than similar brands? how often do the fans need to run during moderate AC use (like laptop charging)? if only USB ports are in use, does fan stay off?
Did you test the noise level? Thanks
would be nice to go thru adding 3rd party solar panels, say if can support 4x100 watts where 2 panels are in parallel
Can you hook up a solar panel to this? Which one do you recommend?
I watched another review where they showed that this could swap back and forth from 60hz to 50 hz. Not needed in the US, but for those from other countries, that is an option.
First, love your videos, they are very informative. But I need to bust your chops. A 20 min “quick” review?😊
Sigh… thanks for this research, I won’t hold my breath on a video of the Ac70 though 😅😅
Will the PS72 work with the external B80 battery?
New to your channel Jeff. Great video. Just so happens I ordered a PS72 yesterday. I'm a newbie at all this, so I'll ask the dumb questions to your evil twin. Mr. Blurry, can you tell me what solar panel, cheaper than bluetti, would be compatible with this? I drive a van and would just install on roof. Flexible preferable. Thanks in advance, to both of you. See you again soon.
Can I power refrigerator with this device?
Just picked up the PS54 for over 1/2 price of the EB55. Seems the PS line for Ebay only and appears to becoming the entry economical model for Bluettie/Maxoak using as you said last years tech. Should see the EB line phased out for a more updated models--getting rid of the brick, dual charging inputs, bluetooth, updated displays. The competition is heating up as off-shore units are coming with these newer features. By the way, get RUclips monetized--why have RUclips reap all of the ad revenue when you put in the work; us viewers do not care as long as you not getting monetized by the mfg without disclosing.
Just ordered one from Walmarts for $283,nice to have a backup when the power goes out and at $283 itssss a deal until next years when the market gets flooded with these power backups lol....
Wal Marts has it also.
I bought 1 lol they have not shipped yet but i want a Dumb Battery anyway. it should work like my AC50S i hope lol
It was cheaper than my AC50S lol
First
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 we have 2 Jeff
My EB70 is better then yours...it is 1000W and 230VAC.
I've had the EB70s since January. I haven't really use it. I alson recently bought EB3A. Prices have dropped on these items and they're many competitors out there. Thanks for the review I was considering the PS72 but I think I'll look at the AC180 since I already have a EB70. Your video was very helpful.
Why buy something if you don't use them....
