Bluetti AC200L with B300S batteries
Today we cover an undocumented feature of Bluetti's AC200L series solar generator: compatibility with the B300S battery.
This involves a quick firmware upgrade with an extra step in the middle of it, but when completed this allows for B300S batteries to work perfectly and natively with the AC200L solar generator.

You are one of the most systematic, quantitative, and scientifically oriented channels on this topic. Thank you for that. Please consider reviewing the EcoFlow Delta Pro Ultra and EcoFlow Delt Pro 3. Also please consider reviewing the Bluetti EP800 and EP900 series systems. Also in your reviews please detail whether the inverters are high frequency (more efficient, less surge capability) or low frequency (lower efficiency greater surge capability) types. Thank you. RP

I recently purchased a AC200L (primeday deal) and noticed a difference between it and what's shown here. This is for PV priority mode, the only mode I've tested so far. Instead of +10%, mine is +5%. I'm guessing this is at least partially due to you using a early model. My versions are IOT v9041.06, ARM v2134.05, DSP v2098.15, BMS v1043.11. Also had connected a B230 with BMS v1018.02. There might be other differences, but this is all I've noticed so far. Thank you for making these videos, they are very helpfull. I appreciate the time you put into them.

Nice video! How much power does AC invertor uses by itself? I've heard something about 20wh, which is suspicious because let's say Ecoflow Delta Pro uses about 50wh. Thanks.

Great round-up. Thanks for the two graphs. My current setup consists of a single 120W Solar panel, connected to the D050S, which feeds into a B230. The result is around 100W, which is what I would get without the D050S. The solar panel provides around 19v. I am thinking of stepping up the 19V to 48V with a converter (@6.xA). So, the setup converter would feed into the D050S 48V at around 6.5A. Any comments/suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Always a good review and Bluetti seem at the cutting edge and solid build. I have this and 2 x B80 batteries. The best feature is that I can independently charge each unit with a 200w solar panel giving a max of 600w. Only have two and to be honest that’s more than adequate. The only thing I don’t get is the 600w inverter. It runs nothing I can think of that runs better DC? I think this is best suited to camping and running a compressor DC/AC fridge and for me an iPad Pro and iPhone. Run the fridge on DC and no need for AC at all.

  • @hurricane8813

This video was so helpful, thank you! Just ordered AC180 for Hurricane Power outage back ups in Florida (like running my Iceco fridge etc). Weather here will never be cold. Knowing the AC180 needs a base of 32volt In order to go from 8 amps to 10 amps... what would be the best confirguration of Panels to go past the 32 volts and get as many watts from panels as possible but not over shoot the 60 volt limit with too many high volt panels? I am looking at two 100 way N type 16bb solar panels that have VOC 22volts , so if I got 2 of them and put in Series would I would have 44 volts, getting me up and over the 32 volt level for best amps but not going too high in volts to risk hitting the 60 volt limit. but issue is can I safely ever add a 3rd panel to that if I wanted more than 200 watts (these N type 16 bb panels average 90% of their wattage) or technically a 3rd panel would blow me out of the 60 volt limit. Dont know if that's the best set up? Next Option would be to use One N type 16bb 100 watt bifacial panel that has VOC of 35.7, that would trigger the 10am input by being over 32volts on good sunny days... but then I am limited to only 100 watts as 2 of those panels could blow me past the 60 volt limit and in low light could dip below the 32 volts. third option: one 200 watt N type Bi facial panel with VOC 36.4, this would give me enough to go over the 32 volt and not limiting the amps, and maybe could leave room for a 3rd 100 watt panel since the volts arent too close to 60... but this too could dip too low in low light as well. Im lost at what would be the best choice for set up because of this frustrating limit on the AC180 (though I love everything else about it). In an emergency storm situation and the after math being as efficient as possible and squeezing max watts is really important. I am learning as I go with all of this! Any help would be amazing!

Great Video. I'm looking seriously looking at Bluetti trying to find out the information I'm after is very difficult. Where did you find out the max charging current? My circumstances are totally different. I'm looking at the AC300. Reading the manual is confusing. It talks about 3000W max AC in, it refers to a 15A (3600W) cable then says it comes with a 10A cable (2400W) I calculate the current to be 12.5A for 3000W Assuming unity power factor I think 0.9pf and most probably leading as I assume it has a switch mode power supply and they are normally capacitive. Before everyone jumps up and down I live in Australia technically the voltage is 230V in reality it's 240V. The math doesn't add up to their claims. Either the user manual I'm looking at is wrong and they used the US manual and haven't corrected everything or the 3,000W AC in can never be achieved. That is excluding the 2400W DC.

I do love the multicooler. One issue that I noticed is that when plugged into my suburban's cigarette lighter port with the provided cable, the unit displays the E1 error (low voltage) and does not allow the compressor to cycle on. When plugged into my 100ah Lifepo4 battery via a 20a fused cigarette outlet, I experience the same error. It's been pretty frustrating relying on solar and AC charging on my trips and having to waste the B70 battery time on the commutes. On my previous two 12v fridges, I had the same issues and the workaround was to change the low voltage protection mode settings. Unfortunately, Bluetti's multicooler does not have the equivalent settings and their support advised that they have no plans to implement them in any future firmware updates. I ordered a Pecron 12v to 24v DC to DC converter to see if wiring that into my 100ah battery box will allow the unit to run with a 24v input. I'm hoping it solves my problem. On a separate note, I have the same issue with the Bluetti AC180T generator. It will not charge via the 100ah Lifepo4 battery or the vehicle's outlet.
