  • Let's take a look at Bluetti's as-of-yet unannounced AC240 prototype unit as is displayed at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024.
This appears to be a working prototype, and as such, I can not make any guarantees that Bluetti will not change things on this unit between now and release.
I have no idea on pricing or release dates. More information is sure to follow on this unit as it gets closer to release.

Mr. Hagen, I say this with ABSOLUTE RESPECT. When you introduced yourself and then said, "...And I've been invited... To CES." I had an IMMEDIATE flashback to Big Bang Theory episodes when Sheldon would say, "Welcome to... Fun With Flags." I LOVED IT when you did that! It put a huge smile on my face. Thank you for these episodes, and all of the obvious passion and effort that you put into each review. Please keep them coming! As an owner of 2 Bluetti AC180s, I find the AC240 interesting as I was previously trying to decide between the new AC200L and the new AC180T (Though I'd need to see how the charging of the hot-swapped battery modules OUTSIDE of the main unit will be handled first.)

You have put a smile on my face. Thank you for that.
They didn’t want to talk about how the hot swap batteries would charge outside of the main unit. I believe they have something they are considering but they don’t want to commit…

I like Bluetti but the product line is a real mess now. They need to consolidate and standardize some stuff.. Like why is there 1000W inverter battery called AC70 and not AC10 for 1000W.

Nice! Good on Bluetti to keep reiterating and developing new solar battery generators to address the needs and gaps of the previous models. I just bought an AC200L, which I thought was cutting edge compared to the AC200Max, especially around cloud monitoring and pushing of firmware to fix bugs and issues. Hope to see more details as it goes into development and production! It looks like the AC240 brings back the 12V/30A port which was missing from AC200L. IP65 with those fan inlet/outlet vents would be interesting.
AC parallel port would double its power/current supply capacity with the same 110V though.

      I agree the ac240P (I P 65j is doubtful splash resistant.
It still could have been a winner with the 4800w inverter and 3072wh by using the parallel connector if they didn’t messed the solar input. What is that ? 11-60v 21A. Just not enough with 60V to put 2x400w in series and not enough to put them in parallel with just 21A when a panel is most of the time 11A or more. Basically one 400w only. Even 200w panel have than 10A and have 22V. So no 3x200 nor 2x200 in parallel.
It is a disaster this solar input. Finally the 200L is the better of all. If we are lucky they will allow the conversion from 48v8A to 12v with the anderson cable. (As we know the d40 won’t do it and cannot connect to fuse block directly to power 12v devices. The d40 can only charge a battery.)

Is this the fastest UPS speed, thus far in the industry? “In addition, the AC240 system provides a simple and robust solution for uninterrupted power anywhere with its responsive UPS feature that quickly detects power outages and automatically switches to battery power in just 15 milliseconds, an industry-leading speed.” I have a TrippLite APS750, which has a UPS speed; which is too slow for my Harman Absolute43, wood pellet stove. The slow UPS, triggers the stove; to shutdown with backup battery power.

Thanks for the video/preview. When I see a new video posted on your channel, the day is better :-)
Thanks as well for the detailed transparency around "paid promotion". I've appreciated your approach to this across your videos.

Kind of odd that they went with proprietary connectors for power input. What's wrong with using XT60/XT90?
I'm also interested if they'll release any model with a 10ms or less UPS transfer time. Have you seen anyone else on the show floor advertise that?

What's up with that 12v 10A socket cover popping open by itself? I have it taped in place right now in my AC200P because it won't stay shut.

Good preview vid Jeff. Not sure who this device would specifically be marketed to as it has some pretty niche connectors on this one.

LOVE the Fact they put the 30 amp 12v outlet ( Aviation plug ) back on this model. It was a VERY stupid move to remove it, and go with the 48V outlet. JMO

I don’t like the Green glowing power buttons on the AC240 and B210- the ones on my AC200Max and B230 keep me awake at night in my trailer. I wish there was a way to turn the power button lights off or have them time out after 1 minute. I’d also like to see the 5521 plugs added back in.

The ac240 was very interesting until i saw the solar input 11-60v 21A. You can plug only one 400w with that. I doubt it exist 10A 400w panel.. no go for me. So it does not look good for me ..the 200L has not the 12v30A and the ac240 has bad solar input. The 200max has power brick, no wifi, need d050s to increase solar, need a second power brick to charge at 1000w, suspicious touch screen, more noisy and 2 years old already. Ac180 has no rv plug and 500w solar only and no 12v30A. Ac300 has bigger battery that i cannot move. Ac500 is powerful with self heated battery but big and heavy battery and not really portable. Bluetti must do it by design to not create the perfect powerstation.

I agree. That 60 volt limit seems to be the standard for mid size power stations. It needs to be increased to 100.
