Totally! My ex would get aggressively bored when we went shopping for anything that was a ‘me’ item or interest. He did a lot of heavy sighs, eye rolling and recrimination. I loved going thrifting with you and Justin. I was born just before WW 2. I remember those war ration books. Flour sugar and gas was rationed. Neighbors often traded ration stamps for necessities I can’t imagine people today enduring rationing. Loved how you put everything together for your picnic

When I was a kid, (60's and 70's), I remember you could "earn" dishes with grocery store purchases and each time, you could add another piece to your collection, lol.

They are so pro-active about finding their style that they probably found it and lost it somewhere in the storage boxes of slightly dated micro-trend decor. It's a nightmare of thrifting gems and Urban Outfitters (IDK American shops.. CB2??) and they're legitimately stylish but the problem is that they haven't slowed down enough to generate satisfaction. I have the moral planned already: something something don't be seduced by a style straight out of the box. be a kooky freak and combine stuff. birth your own aesthetic. hone YOUR eye. know yourself, your identity is in your hands and have fun, don't care about what people think blah blah BUT THAT'S JUST A STARTING POINT. A day late to watching this video and commenting because I was waiting for the perfect moment to be able to sit down and really enjoy it. I just want to say thank you for how lovely this video was. It's the perfect mix of everything we love about your content: a thrifting haul, your delightfully unhinged "how to get away with murder" musings at the beginning, a dash of cuteness with Justin, your unique brand of adorable swearing when you find something you like, etc. This video also reminded me to slow down and enjoy the small beautiful things and the little moments of joy our lives are filled with, whether it's a tiny antique lighter or a glass ladybug. Your tablescape was gorgeous. I'm sure your friends will/did enjoy all the effort you went to to create that ambiance and experience for them, and the beautiful presentation. Also, as a jaded mid-30s woman who's been single for four years and who has just jumped back into the dating game once again after taking some time out to recover from a seriously toxic situationship, seeing the healthy ease and casual affection of your and Justin's relationship gives me hope that I can find that one day too. OMG I screamed a little inside when you said Rohobeth beach and then I LITERALLY SCREAMED when you walked into the Lewes Antique store. My MIL lives near Bethany Delaware and whenever we visit her we make a stop at the Lewes Antique store. We love antiquing. I also recommend checking out the candy store in Lewes since I remember you love Mangoes. I so wish I had a boyfriend who enjoyed thrifting with me and was supportive, you're lucky. The thrifted items look really cute and work well together; a kind of "modern, eclectic, cottage vibe" Recently I salvaged a drawer with multiple small compartments which I plan to hang on the wall to display my collection of tiny objects, when you kept looking at the small items, it made me think of that. I'm watching this surrounded by boxes and stuff I need to unpack, it's overwhelming, but your videos have helped.

When we were younger, my husband and I loved to go thrifting together in Houston! One of my favorites is a small Korean chest with 3 small drawers and a cabinet space underneath. We use it to this day as an end table. Been together 50 yrs, married for 47 yrs.

I love this video so much! Thrifting is life! For our wedding decor style back in 2011 we thrifted every dish for our 120 guests and used thrifted books and lanterns/candle holders for table decor. It was great because rather than having to register for new dishes we kept the mix/match wedding plates (and gifted many to family and friends) used at the wedding. I still use my favorite plates every day 13 years later which is a treat! More thrifting videos please!

@@Caroline_Winkler I'm seeiiiiing.. someone who has way more aesthetic belongings than they know what to do with. They are so pro-active about finding their style that they probably found it and lost it somewhere in the storage boxes of slightly dated micro-trend decor. It's a nightmare of thrifting gems and Urban Outfitters (IDK American shops.. CB2??) and they're legitimately stylish but the problem is that they haven't slowed down enough to generate satisfaction. I have the moral planned already: something something don't be seduced by a style straight out of the box. be a kooky freak and combine stuff. birth your own aesthetic. hone YOUR eye. know yourself, your identity is in your hands and have fun, don't care about what people think blah blah BUT THAT'S JUST A STARTING POINT. I'm not an expert. All I'm saying ya take someone unfairly cool with a shopping addiction and go make-under style. Inside-out. Something something it was inside you all along. Do itttt

I work in childcare and our kids love to secretly gift their social workers with tiny little objects they seem to find everywhere. So every other evening there'll be a tiny figurine or "gems" falling out of our pockets at home. Adorable little sweeties. A day late to watching this video and commenting because I was waiting for the perfect moment to be able to sit down and really enjoy it.
I just want to say thank you for how lovely this video was. It's the perfect mix of everything we love about your content: a thrifting haul, your delightfully unhinged "how to get away with murder" musings at the beginning, a dash of cuteness with Justin, your unique brand of adorable swearing when you find something you like, etc. This video also reminded me to slow down and enjoy the small beautiful things and the little moments of joy our lives are filled with, whether it's a tiny antique lighter or a glass ladybug. Your tablescape was gorgeous. I'm sure your friends will/did enjoy all the effort you went to to create that ambiance and experience for them, and the beautiful presentation.
Also, as a jaded mid-30s woman who's been single for four years and who has just jumped back into the dating game once again after taking some time out to recover from a seriously toxic situationship, seeing the healthy ease and casual affection of your and Justin's relationship gives me hope that I can find that one day too. I echo someone else's comment that I love how supportive he is of you, and how he loves your quirks and doesn't yuck your yum. I feel like he really sees you, loves you, and accepts you for exactly who you are, which must be so healing.

My MIL lives near Bethany Delaware and whenever we visit her we make a stop at the Lewes Antique store. We love antiquing. I also recommend checking out the candy store in Lewes since I remember you love Mangoes. They have this insanely delicious Mango chilli candy that I'm obsessed with and buy too much of 😂

I so wish I had a boyfriend who enjoyed thrifting with me and was supportive, you're lucky. The thrifted items look really cute and work well together; a kind of "modern, eclectic, cottage vibe" Recently I salvaged a drawer with multiple small compartments which I plan to hang on the wall to display my collection of tiny objects, when you kept looking at the small items, it made me think of that. I'm watching this surrounded by boxes and stuff I need to unpack, it's overwhelming, but your videos have helped.

When we were younger, my husband and I loved to go thrifting together in Houston! One of my favorites is a small Korean chest with 3 small drawers and a cabinet space underneath. We use it to this day as an end table. Been together 50 yrs, married for 47 yrs.

I love this video so much! Thrifting is life! For our wedding decor style back in 2011 we thrifted every dish for our 120 guests and used thrifted books and lanterns/candle holders for table decor. It was great because rather than having to register for new dishes we kept the mix/match wedding plates (and gifted many to family and friends) used at the wedding. I still use my favorite plates every day 13 years later which is a treat! More thrifting videos please!
