Link in his fear of not being strong enough put on the mask for sake of saving hyrule however he did it looking to use its power. The mask maybe very similar to the triforce of power in that way.

I think this is why only Majora’s mask/ OOT Link could wield it. Cause he personally knows how each mask feels and would help them as he wears their masks. He knows the fierce deity well enough to not use it recklessly

It's alright. In LoZ, you don't die until your body bursts into flames or dissolves into light. That said, Zelda is still horribly injured and needs to get put into a fairy fountain ASAFP.

So just found your channel and I have NO idea how I haven't found this amazing work sooner but im a HUGE fan of The Hero Of Time Link vs most of the others because The Hero Of Time's story is just so tragic in the fact that he got erased from history the moment Zelda sent him back in time 7 years ago and didn't do anything heroic to make him a historic hero for the books since his knowledge saved everyone before bad could happen. Now this link is the Hero Of Twilight a VERY close descendent but a very unskilled Hero hence why i believe the mask couldn't be fully controlled like the Hero Of Time was able to control it, took me a couple watches to fully put that thought together

You took a whole life's worth of memories with this franchise, and flipped it upside down, showing a truly important lesson to learn by exposing the darkness behind having too much power. Link is always the good guy, saving everyone and everything. However, not only did he lose himself and inhabit pure evil within infinite power, but he killed one of the people most dear to him... most dear to all of us who have played this game all these years. Incredible. This was an animation and yet I could feel (through looking at their expressions) all of their emotions. The fear, the love, the loss of control. In addition to that you incorporated the aspect of memory so well. With the flashbacks and the black and white imagery, it only amplified the meaning of what was happening. So well executed. What I felt was the best (and this may be because of my strong connection to music) was the emotion coinciding with music. Especially at 3:28 right when you think everything was okay, BOOM the unthinkable, the unacceptable happens. Gah so good lol rant done. You have some serious talent here, and I hope you continue to share it with us because it's awesome! Have a nice day.

Zelda games are not about story as much as the gameplay. They tried to place more emphasis on story in Skyward Sword, resulting in one of the most bland games in the series. This kind of stuff is fine for fan fiction, but trying for more "dramatic storylines" is the absolute last thing I want to see Nintendo attempt to do with Zelda games.

OMG... Could you imagine if this were an INTRO?! Link has to spend the rest of the game proving himself to a hyrule that doesn't want him. AND the citizens are actively against him! OOOOo, and he starts off working for Ganon, but something wakes him back up. That Zelda would be AMAAAAAAAAAAAAAZING! Side note: I really like Legend of Zelda; however, let's put a teenage - adult story line on at least one of them! :)
but that's what made zelda so good. it was a simply hero adventure story, but if you are older and playing the games you can see the cracks of reality and darkness that really surrounded you. Like the shadow temple, once a place of worship and then turned by Hyrule will into a torture prison to all those that disobey the kingdom, Another being the fact the like the majority of Shieka leading up to twilight princess most of the Gerudo were wiped out (acts of Genocide) leaving only bones and prisons on the Gerudos last cultural structures. Tons of this real two face kingdom shines without you even needing to have someone tell you it. If you are really looking for a Zelda game that expresses these darker sides that are hidden through out the zelda series check out Hyrule Total War. You will be very satisfied, even if all you do is watch the cut scenes.
I like the idea except the working for ganon part. There should not be a villain in that one. Or at least, a villain that works as an influence to corrupt Link.
I was following you until the part where he works for ganon. The story is about reencarnacion. Two lovers intertwined with evil and etc. If he started the game where he needs to prove himself and the spirit of the Goddess forgives him, that'll be great, but he cant work for Ganon. A great way to continue this story is that the beginning of the game starts in the middle of this Links' story. Where he sacrificed himself, and in the process somehow killed Zelda. The moral of Hyrule is already down, and Ganon is winning. So Link proves himself.

yeah this would make for a kick-ass game. Link finds the mask to fight Gannadorf only to be taken over by the power of the mask. A nice spiritual sequel to Majora's Mask.

I watched all three parts multiple times and cried almost every time I watched all of them every time! 😭 Your videos give so much emotion and acctully have link show that emotion which is not usually done in the games you should do there games for them and make movies and shows everything! These were perfection I always thought link was never fearful or even had feelings because he never showed any and these all of your videos together showed everyone link does have emotion and feelings toward others and himself! Seeing this now makes me think that Link’s shadow (dark link) was formed by seeing the fierce deity mask, and maybe in an alternate universe, Link brings the mask to Hyrule and uses it to fight Ganondorf (as an adult, of course) but, well, you saw in the video. And maybe, some memories from alternate universes pass through universes, which explains how Zelda knows about all of his deeds in alternate universes in Breath of the wild. And maybe, these memories went through Link’s mind, forming Dark or Shadow Link. All of his negative memories and emotions combined into one being.

What I wanted (and thought from the loading screen) was that b Breath of the Wild was going to have some part of Ganondorf possibly fighting a dark beast version of himself, basically like him fighting the evil within, and having Link there to help guide him and keep him going to his goal.

They really need to hire you to make Zelda games, is all I'm sayin'. :P Lovely choice of music (although I'm biased, since RED is one of my favorite bands)--both the songs fit together nicely. Your animation is really smooth and honestly, seems like it could be something that was in a real game. The one and only minor thing was I wasn't a huge fan of the Link grunts while he was attacking the soldiers--sort of took me out of the mood--but I completely understand why you put them in, especially when you added the Ocarina graphics in the flashbacks later. Solid video, solid animation, but what you shine the most in is great storytelling. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.
The nostalgia. I remember watching this when it came out, back when I knew basically nothing about TLoZ. All I knew was that it was really freaking cool. Now I watch it all these years later and I understand everything now because I've actually seen the games. The story presented here takes a different meaning to me. But dang its still cool!

Zelda games are not about story as much as the gameplay. They tried to place more emphasis on story in Skyward Sword, resulting in one of the most bland games in the series. This kind of stuff is fine for fan fiction, but trying for more "dramatic storylines" is the absolute last thing I want to see Nintendo attempt to do with Zelda games.

OMG... Could you imagine if this were an INTRO?! Link has to spend the rest of the game proving himself to a hyrule that doesn't want him. AND the citizens are actively against him! OOOOo, and he starts off working for Ganon, but something wakes him back up. That Zelda would be AMAAAAAAAAAAAAAZING!
Side note: I really like Legend of Zelda; however, let's put a teenage - adult story line on at least one of them! :)
but that's what made zelda so good. it was a simply hero adventure story, but if you are older and playing the games you can see the cracks of reality and darkness that really surrounded you. Like the shadow temple, once a place of worship and then turned by Hyrule will into a torture prison to all those that disobey the kingdom, Another being the fact the like the majority of Shieka leading up to twilight princess most of the Gerudo were wiped out (acts of Genocide) leaving only bones and prisons on the Gerudos last cultural structures. Tons of this real two face kingdom shines without you even needing to have someone tell you it. If you are really looking for a Zelda game that expresses these darker sides that are hidden through out the zelda series check out Hyrule Total War. You will be very satisfied, even if all you do is watch the cut scenes.
I like the idea except the working for ganon part. There should not be a villain in that one. Or at least, a villain that works as an influence to corrupt Link.

I was following you until the part where he works for ganon. The story is about reencarnacion. Two lovers intertwined with evil and etc.
If he started the game where he needs to prove himself and the spirit of the Goddess forgives him, that'll be great, but he cant work for Ganon.
A great way to continue this story is that the beginning of the game starts in the middle of this Links' story. Where he sacrificed himself, and in the process somehow killed Zelda. The moral of Hyrule is already down, and Ganon is winning. So Link proves himself.
This Legend... This stuff made little me cry 6 years ago, and then did it again with Masked Courage. You are a certified Legend and masterpiece maker man. Thank you for these stories.

yeah this would make for a kick-ass game. Link finds the mask to fight Gannadorf only to be taken over by the power of the mask. A nice spiritual sequel to Majora's Mask.
How could I not have known about this channel for this long? I'm a loz maniac, and this is absolutely so good and so touching and holy fuck, Major, you deserve some kind of award for making these. Literally, more often than not, these animations bring a tear to my eye.

I watched all three parts multiple times and cried almost every time I watched all of them every time! 😭 Your videos give so much emotion and acctully have link show that emotion which is not usually done in the games you should do there games for them and make movies and shows everything! These were perfection I always thought link was never fearful or even had feelings because he never showed any and these all of your videos together showed everyone link does have emotion and feelings toward others and himself! I felt like he was alive I notice every now and then there gliches in the videos like his feat going through the ground or even his hand go through sword but that's normal for how hard this kind of stuff is and the way you told a story with this and link never talks so his emotion, his actions, gave the feeling and words for this story and I didn't even care about the misstakes I just loved this! Seeing this now makes me think that Link’s shadow (dark link) was formed by seeing the fierce deity mask, and maybe in an alternate universe, Link brings the mask to Hyrule and uses it to fight Ganondorf (as an adult, of course) but, well, you saw in the video. And maybe, some memories from alternate universes pass through universes, which explains how Zelda knows about all of his deeds in alternate universes in Breath of the wild. And maybe, these memories went through Link’s mind, forming Dark or Shadow Link. All of his negative memories and emotions combined into one being.

They really need to hire you to make Zelda games, is all I'm sayin'. :P Lovely choice of music (although I'm biased, since RED is one of my favorite bands)--both the songs fit together nicely. Your animation is really smooth and honestly, seems like it could be something that was in a real game. The one and only minor thing was I wasn't a huge fan of the Link grunts while he was attacking the soldiers--sort of took me out of the mood--but I completely understand why you put them in, especially when you added the Ocarina graphics in the flashbacks later.
Solid video, solid animation, but what you shine the most in is great storytelling. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.
