    The Pleasure Beach DESPERATELY need a ride like an RMC, but I very much doubt they could afford one right now. I've been 10+ times this season so far and it's been practically empty every time. I'm a local and have been going to Pleasure Beach since 1979, I've never seen it like this. I used to work in the Chuck Wagon in Bean Street back in 1990, we use to finish at midnight and it would be busy every day until 8pm. I never saw the pleasure beach quiet back then. How they're managing to pay staff and the bills right now I have no idea! I would love to see a Raptor replace the Grand Prix, I'm sure it would bring the guests back, but it's probably a £10-£12 mil investment. I can't see them investing that amount of money. I would love to see Amanda sell the park, I don't know if her heart is in it any more. Keep up the great content mate anyway👍

      I know what you mean. It’s worrying how quiet it is. And I hope they can afford a decent investment whether it’s RMC or something else 🤞

      @@coaster_dad Same here fingers crossed. Really PB need about another 3 or 4 big attractions, over the next 10 - 15 years. Maybe it's time she does the right thing and puts the park up for sale. I have a feeling Merlin would snap her hand off, they seem to be buying every other attraction in Blackpool!

    Has to be the PB bud they need it and Thorpe park. Congratulations for hyperia, in my view and others who know the pb loads and support it two out of the others can claim it but 30 years old the big one still stands out to the resort. Hope all those who are at the park to tomorrow enjoying the launch.

    If BPB do get an RMC, I hope it’s either a raptor or a conversion of one of their woodies, because if they get a ground up hybrid it basically eliminates the chance of a conversion which I think is needed for grand national or big dipper

    • @coaster_dad
      @coaster_dad  20 дней назад

      A lot of people have mentioned an RMC conversion of those two over the years but I’m not sure there’s enough space for them to strengthen the supports. Would be interesting to see if it happens.

    I could see a single rail RMC at Pleasurebeech but I do worry about their finances. I think Thorpe is the logical choice for a full fat RMC behind swarm. They have already ground tested that area so I could see one there before 2030. Paultons is a wildcard but bare in mind the park is subject to height restrictions like Towers so anything remotely tall would need planning permission.

    • @coaster_dad
      @coaster_dad  Месяц назад

      Yeah much though I’d love it to be BP I’m also worried they can afford it. Thorpe def the obvious candidate but as I said in the vid I’m not sure we’ll see another coaster there for a good few years but you never know. I just want a damn RMC over here 😂😂

    Here's what I think when it comes to having an RMC to Paultons Park for 2026.
    From the likes of either a RMC Raptor or Hybrid coaster will most likely be a "no", giving the fact that Paultons runs in the family market (of course you have a few thrill rides including Cobra, Edge, Magma, Velociraptor, Flight of the Pterosaur, Storm Chaser and Cyclonator), but after researching through all RMC coasters, I have found 1 particular coaster which may be a perfect fit to the park, and that's a "Wild Moose".
    If the first UK's RMC coaster is thrilling, the most likely parks it'll be located will be either Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, Blackpool Pleasure Beach or Flamingoland.

    • @coaster_dad
      @coaster_dad  Месяц назад

      Yup I’m not expecting a full blown RMC at Paultons but the moose would work

    • @user-ql9wd6uh6u
      @user-ql9wd6uh6u 9 дней назад

      If rmc add a high end thrill ride at paultons it changes the parks clientele (if you like,). What they tend to deploy is decent enough, but more importantly you can get anything even peak times with around a 20 mi queue . No fast pass needed

    Something that flies under the radar is the Gullivers Franchise. Their last big project was 3 or 4 years ago and I know one rollercoaster that desperately needs refurbishing. In Gullivers World Warrington sits the Antelope. It is a wooden coaster that is incredibly rundown. Infact, most of the park is in ruin, various figures seeming TLC hasnt been brought to them in a decade. If they want to keep this park going in general, they *NEED* something large to occur. Now Im not sure if they do have the budget but since they have several theme parks I think it could be possible. They need something to make them one of the top parks for more visitors, and I believe this is possible. What do you think? 😁

    • @coaster_dad
      @coaster_dad  26 дней назад

      Interesting idea, I'm visiting Warrington in a months time for a first visit. The only thing I would say is an RMC conversion of an older ride typically is the more thrilling version of RMCs and obviously Gullivers is far from thrill. I could see one of the more family friendly versions like the Wild Moose working in a small family park though

    • @ImtootiredforthisXD
      @ImtootiredforthisXD 26 дней назад

      Good point, but the Antelope is very, very rough and for a small height limit, is probably more forceful than Wickerman! 🤭

      I've just remembered a coaster similar to a wild mouse was taken out around 3 years ago. There may be enough space for a wild moose there!

    My hope is BPB obviously. They can do it. If you look at steel vengence i know it's a hybrid but blackpool could do it. Financially they would have to get an investor BUT it is possible . Rmc to take up the many many many dead spots or hybrid GN

    • @coaster_dad

      @coaster_dad They do, we all know, have to do something soon. How many years has it been since they were on the front page! Reimagining of vally was something that was needed to make it how it should be. Not really something front page although it took alot of their front page budget. I'm fearful river caves will not be coming back which gives me a heavy soul. X

    Im thinking either alton towers or paultons park. I think if its alton towers it would be SW9 (not horizon) and after hyperia being miles better than any other coaster in the uk i feel alton kinda needs an rmc, or a ride with insane elements like hyperia.
    Paultons park because of that teaser, they also seem to be growing very quickly, a family rmc would work but also a big rmc could put their park on the spot for thrill seekers which would benefit it massively.
    Thorpe wont get a new coaster any time soon.
    bpb i dont think could fit one aside from a single rail and i doubt they could even afford it

    Ohhhh dear. I enjoyed anyway so subscribing.
    Pleasure Beach def no unless it's a raptor or shhhhhhhhhh TRex.
    However I do think they will go for the height record wind won't be a problem if a new coaster is designed with wind in mind. Big one clearly didn't allow enough for wind in the design process. B and m dive for example shouldn't be to bothered by wind if designed with this in mind.

    In terms of timelines and budget patterns ie Thorpe Park waiting 12 years for Hyperia, is that Merlin and others may plan to cram much more in the short-medium term than they would normally have done if Universal go ahead with their UK Bedford Park as a reaction to them. Universal will shake up the whole UK market and it’s likely we’ll see a positive reaction from other parks. They might bring budgets forwards or take loans for example to help them react.
    With things like Hyperia and (possibly) Universal we may be entering the golden age/decade of UK parks.
