It's not fucked up or anything like what Vinny said his reaccuring dream is like, but I keep having dreams where my dog is still alive and she's always so happy to see me. When I wake up I get really sad, because it was really my idea to have her put to sleep in the first place. It was for her sake because she was pretty old, getting incontinent, and uncomfortable most of the time because of a gross thing that kept flaring up that wouldn't go away. But I feel guilty. I'm just glad that in my dreams I'm not reliving the painful minutes of her euthanasia, instead seeing her as she used to be.
I Was too the person in my family who decided to put my dog down. Sometimes i wonder if i did it for selfish reasons aka medical costs and taking care of her or for her own good
i feel like midnight scenes could be a fuller game than what it was. there was an expectation set that wasnt fulfilled, an expectation of something bizarre beyond seeing a weird kid once and some corpses. where was her trying to tell someone? where was her grappling with trying to connect what she saw with what was reported? i guess the developer gave up on it because the premise is pretty much stranger things, but id love to see it explored just a bit more. it feels unfinished as is.
I also have dreams like that but its weird because you look around and everyone is yelling and it gives you that feeling of hopelessness and that you can't do anything to change it
I really liked the architecture of that church place at the end of the last game... really interesting. I wish there was more to it, I didnt quite understand it very well, and it was too dark for me to see well. But still interesting.
Vin should give the Chzo Mythos games a go one year. There’s 4 of them, though, and you gotta play em in a certain order to make sense of it. They’re about an hour, two hours each if you know what you’re doing. So....5 hours with Vinny? Still, good Lovecraftian spooks in there.

ive had a recurring dream where my grandma is dead but i can see her as if shes alive and she doesnt know shes dead. no one else can see her but theyre aware that i can. not really sure what it means. i guess its not really scary tho, just... weird. and weird that ive had it more than a few times

Games like that first game feel more like a virtual art exhibit than a game. Personally, i actually think art games can be pretty cool, and i really liked this one, but they should be categorized separate from actual games. they can seem really trashy when they don't act like a game should. like, you wouldn't categorize a painting in the same genre as a board game. i dunno, i think i've been spending too much time in art history courses.
on your dream, the MC Escher city and spooky forest you can't get to means you find society as a whole to be alien and confusing, and there's no escape to greener pastures in your mind. You can see the forest, but you can't go to it, but you acknowledge that even that would be a bad idea to go to because it's spooky. Pretty common sentiment, honestly.
Bloodyidit i guess so. depends on what things in the dream mean to vinny. like, what does vinny think of forests? of MC escher? of big buildings? commonly sentiment doesn't work in dreams because the symbolism depends on you. for example, a person who hates lizards sees them as a bad omen in their dream, but i love em and if i see one in my dream it's a good sign
Katabasis reminds me a lot of the descriptions of the long dead Old Ones' city from Mountains of Madness. That could be really cool if it looked really good and really emphasized the unnatural and bizzare nature of the designs and statues and whatnot. Instead it's just another mediocre unity game, what a shame.

Apparently it was made for a game jam, which is why it was so short
that explains a lot. i still wish they would explore it more, though.
Could maybe be an anthology a la the Lakeview Cabin Collection. Just distantly connected short scenarios with a similar style and quality.
