Ya, I wasn't winning but I was having fun and learning. Meanwhile, people would refuse to take their Audi S4 or Jetta until it had coil overs or sway bars or whatever. Here I am a couple years later winning local events in my new car with nothing but good tires while they're still sitting on the sideline waiting to jump in. Like Markos said, just go out and try it. If a stock early 2000s Sebring can survive and be fun, so can your car.

So tired of people acting like they're so bad, yes they'll chunk when you overhear the crap out of them and yes you'll pick up 4+ seconds with some 200tws but there's zero reason not to use them till they're dead if you're just getting into tracking! Nail your driver mod first!

Man I love love loooove this channel and I love these guys and her opening line almost had me in tears, it is a lifestyle and somehow sacred, I'm dreaming of owning a Subaru since I was 15 and now I'm 29 and still looking for that and forever will but you know when sometimes hope slip away from your soul and you get to almost abandon your dream, these videos refresh it and make you believe again and stick to these dreams even more. Unfortunately Egypt is where I live and there're only like 4 or 5 sti subarus (maybe less) here and it's almost impossible to modify cars this crazy but even that will never kill hope. I would take my subaru to the track, but it's a bone stock forester with 200k miles. I am afraid I will break it. That said, maybe I shouldn't be. I routinely take it on 1k to 2k road trips without blinking.
You could try doing an auto cross event before doing a full-on track day. Not exactly the same, but you can at least see how your car holds up when being pushed.
nooranik21 yeah man get a feel for the car so you can know how it acts and reacts so you can change problems accordingly.. the main thing about racing is consistency and average speed.. a Civic SI with only a Cold Air Intake and handling mods only can beat cars that have more power with only a nice suspension setup, tires and brakes..and most importantly, *Driver Mod* because it'll help you keep quick times even though your car doesn't make as much power as everyone else... So please do give it a shot and remember, you'll get better with time so if you mess up or get discouraged, always remember how much sweeter it'll be when you become so good at it from practicing!
The 04-05 STI is one of my bucketlist cars. It's the car my friends and I all wanted in high school, but certainly couldn't afford. I'm knocking a few cars off that list first, but one day I'll get one.
I restaurad a golf 2 GTD, may not seem like much but doing these projects is expensive in my country ( Portugal) specially with me being 20 yo and finishing university. Anyway i have a connection with it, it saved me from thinking a lot about the shit that life threw at me in 2017
