- Finally saw Frozen 2 so now I can start making videos related to this movie!
This is what some are familiar with as "Putonghua", but I'm calling it "Chinese Mandarin” because that's what Disney uses 🙂

The translation is pretty faithful to the original. All the key parts of Elsa’s feeling are there
Yeah, I've been looking at the different versions of this song. I don't know Mandarin but if the subs are accurate then this translation is one of the better ones.

Knowing that she was tired when she sang this and sounded 99% better than the rest of the versions �A true queen!

The voice is better than the english imo, and the translation is really good! Usually when I see songs translated in other languages they lose the true meaning but this is pretty much spot on

I'm so happy to hear Hú Wéi-Nà back, and she sounds amazing. But, is it just me, or does she sound a lot older? It's just a little strange, yet she still has the same charm and incredible skills as before.
I thought so too, she sounds a bit... Idina-like here dare I say 😶 But you’re right, her singing skills are without a fault!

因为大陆翻译都必须每一句都要尊重原文，所以每一句基本都是原文翻译

I love how the English lyric is just "Into the unknown, into the unknown, into the unknoooown" and then the Chinese changed it to “去寻找真相，神秘的真相，未知的真相”。

Haha yes I see now that these lyrics are actually one of the better ones 😂 It’s a bit sad that nowadays Disney focuses only on casting a perfect voice actresses and neglecting lyrics translation, which is really important too.

I love this version, and I can enrich my Mandarin vocabs from here. However, Ive barely realised that the Mandarin grammar is quite simple and short rather than the English translation.

For a cringe literal translation, look no further than the Norwegian version. Although not as cringe as "La Den Gå", some of the translations in our version of "Into The Unknown" still sound extremely simple and Google Translate-esque.
@@DidrickNamtvedt reading the Norwegian and Danish lyrics, I've had the strong feeling that something was made in common. I think at least one person must have worked on both versions, maybe being fluent in only one of the two languages.

As a Norwegian, do you agree as well that the problem of "La den gå" wasn't only the literal translation aspect, but also the fact that they squeezed words in a weird order sometimes?
@@Kocisaurus Yes, the squeezing of words in a weird order was definitely cringe but sometimes it has to be done in order to follow the meoldy although the result isn't always pleasing to the ear.

I couldn't agree more about the lyrics: I'd have expected something more fanciful from China.
I have the feeling that something has changed since 90s age and around, maybe they didn't make the most judicious choices as for the lyricist? I don't know.

(I didn't mind that much for korean end credits version because it weighs less, since it's a rock piece outside the film, but that violent language change in the middle, uhm...)😐 At least the other lines aren't bad!

Disappointing? The translator (Keith Chan陈少琪) is amazing in my opinion. 多听几个语言版本你会发现少琪的上译版无论是与原版的契合度还是歌词本身的艺术性都比很多版不知高到哪里去。不要妄自菲薄。
