You make a direct link between digital transformation and new business models. That still puts techology at front. Gartner states that digitalisation leads to new business models. Digital Transformation however works the other way around and starts with stakeholders. It is probably even better to talk about Data Driven Transformation (as in the book by Carruthers and Jackson, 2019) because the data should give insights that in turn leads to transformation.
