    What really sticks with me is the Merrel Reese call. He's usually on point with naming off a player. But in that moment, he was so excited he had to look and check Barnett's name.

    It's like that videotape from the novel Infinite Jest that is so entertaining that you would die before you'd stop watching. Any language, over and over - nearly a year later...the best thing I've ever seen! 😂 And that Aussie announcer rules! He just revels in Brady's despair. What a play. What a game!

    • @O8SOL3TE
      @O8SOL3TE 6 лет назад +9

      I guess they don't call games the same way american anouncers do. You'd probably never get a french adaptation of "Brady... takes the snap... he looks, he steps up...". The sport is not very popular here so I'm not even sure we have actual "american football commentators". My guess is they prefer to wait for the play to be over and comment on what just happened.
      I know for a fact, however, that one of the two anouncers is Richard Tardits and he played for the Pats in the early 90s which is a pretty big accomplishment for a french player.

      He's been waiting for this moment like the rest of us, I don't blame him in the slightest. The emotions rising at the fact that we were moments away from being called the Super Bowl champs for the first time will get anyone. I saw his reaction on the video and when the game was over, that's when the emotions finally got to him.

      I'll give you the brazilian call, by Everaldo Marques (play by play) and Paulo Antunes (color) on ESPN:
      Everaldo - Here's Brady on a second for two FUMBLE, FUMBLE IS LIFE, THE BALL BELONGS TO THE EAGLES! Derek Barnett gets with the ball, the first sack on Super Bowl 52 might've decided the NFL Champion.
      Paulo - Wow! Finally the pressure reaches Brady
