The sport is not very popular here so I'm not even sure we have actual "american football commentators". My guess is they prefer to wait for the play to be over and comment on what just happened. I know for a fact, however, that one of the two anouncers is Richard Tardits and he played for the Pats in the early 90s which is a pretty big accomplishment for a french player.
What really sticks with me is the Merrel Reese call. He's usually on point with naming off a player. But in that moment, he was so excited he had to look and check Barnett's name.
It's like that videotape from the novel Infinite Jest that is so entertaining that you would die before you'd stop watching. Any language, over and over - nearly a year later...the best thing I've ever seen! 😂 And that Aussie announcer rules! He just revels in Brady's despair. What a play. What a game!
