Because all the songs sound the same - same riffs and he's definitely not Jamaican. It would be different if he sang in his own voice and did not try to sound like Shaggy. Just my opinion.

All artists are influnced by earlier generations, the changing of music over time. Morrison had many favorites and emulated them. Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Brenda Lee and others from many genre.
& years later he took a cheap turn and starts to be a Jim Morrison copycat, Or Jim impersonator artist its weird he should have just stayed true to he is, or is this a gimmick too. White boy Reggae.
