i got a head cannon that papyrus knows what sans is capable of, and thats kinda the reason he gets so peeved when sans is lazing about, because he knows how efficient sans can potentially be in there day to day lives
no sans is just lazy as fuck besides what is there to be efficient about in the underground
@@Ari_Fudu its a head cannon, obviously its not real, and there is plenty to be efficient about, mostly guard duties like puzzle calibration, patroll, building new puzzles, guardgin areas of interest
@@georgeholstein5230 sans already does the last one and basically the third one too sans just doesnt really need to make puzzles or calibrate them since he has close to zero

5:42 No, but we have some ideas. He's definitely the smartest monster in the underground. Being able to see into your soul and know who you killled even if it was one froggit. Or read your face to guess your resets. But hes not omniscient. He might be aware of your (The Player) presence but isn't fully aware the lengths you’ll go to. Simply believing that you'd reset in genocide because you dont stand to gain anything, so he stays out of your way to not have you give up and lock him into a bad timeline until you threaten the timeline itself. Defense, Attack and Health SEEM concrete until you remember that monster emotions affect those. There shouldn't be a way for Sans to survive regular life with the stats he has so they probably dropped because he lost hope in genocide because he's fighting a multiversal threat. Or he could actually be weak and just incredible at surviving the harsh conditions of the underground somehow. He IS fast, at the end of genocide, Frisk can throw a notebook with enough force to one shot all the monsters in the underground lined up. Sans can dodge that notebook while half-asleep. So smartest and fastest monster in the underground with attack and defense from lowest to unknown.

@@xyt178 blah blah Sans might be more durable or have higher attack power than his stats say. But he's definitely one of if not the fastest and smartest monsters in the underground.

Btw this fangame is based on the animation with the same name and it was made by Vennis Delapaz and it's a really good animation also there is a conversation in the start of the animation answering your question in some part of the video so you can just go to the animation to see the start with the conversation

Idea for mod soul mod, blue can control like sans can, green green but you can move, purple lets you change sheild diagnoly, yellow lets you use a roket boosting you forword but you have no invincibility frames, light blue every 2 secends of moving you take 5 percent of your health but you take halve damage when not moving on your own, orange the more you move the more damage you deal on your turn. Please consider these mods of combinations trying to beat undertale
